:Zeraora:
The Zeraora set was taken from the suggested core, however we ultimately tweaked it as by the time we added our final Pokemon, it was decided the team did not fully take advantage of the Shuca Berry which Zeraora held, so the item was swapped to Leftovers to improve longevity and make use of Work Up

:Tapu-Koko:
The next Pokemon was automatic; Tapu Koko goes on every Gen 7 Electric team and we decided Specs would be a good fit for the team after a poll with options people were interested in looking into.

:Thundurus:
After a lot of debate over the Thundurus set and numerous polls ending in ties, we finally settled on a Z-Fly set, this was possible as we didn't have a Z-move user yet in Raichu and decided we wanted a physical wallbreaker while we were lacking Band Zeraora.

:Raichu-Alola:
The next Pokemon was Raichu to add speed control and to fully take advantage of terrain, since it couldn't use a Z-move and we wanted it to be able to switch moves, we gave it a Life Orb. As we already had Grass Knot on Zeraora and therefore did not worry too much about Water nor need to have it on Raichu, we are free to run the moves chosen without worrying about missing coverage.

:Rotom-Wash:
We next chose Washtom as our hazard clearing option, with an Iapapa Berry to increase longevity. The speed creep hits 220 speed to outspeed base 60s.

:Magnezone:
Our last choice was Magnezone with HP Fire, to act as a trapper to Steel-types that give the rest of the team trouble.

Thanks a lot to everyone that took part! This week's was particularly active which was great to see, shoutouts to Floss, Jolly Togekiss ^-^, Mateeus, Derpeddeath, Wyn, readyletsgo, StellaAthena, and Day Healer.

Next week's meta will be gen 8! Leave your submissions below!

so firnen said to me to post my zarude set here:

Zarude @ Chople Berry
Ability: Leaf Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Bulk Up
- Power Whip
- Close Combat
- Darkest Lariat

Some Explanations:
Darkest Lariat and Power Whip are good stab moves for Zarude, Close Combat is there for Coverage because it helps to hit better some Dark and Steel Pokemon (as Bisharp, Mandibuzz by example). Bulk Up is the set up move, which is well paired with its natural decent bulk. Chople berry is there to help to trap some good Fighting Pokemon able to destroy Dark type: Keldeo mostly and Terrakion/Urshifu Scarf, and 0HKO it next.
Drain Punch may be an option over Close Combat to rise its staying power.

Tailwind Fire

Talonflame @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Tailwind
- Taunt / Defog
- Brave Bird / Dual Wingbeat
- U-turn

With priority Tailwind, Talonflame opens up much more archetype possibilities for Fire. While Fire teams commonly contain dangerous setup sweepers like Volcarona and Bulk Up Cinderace, Tailwind can allow for more immediate wallbreakers to perform the same snowballing task, such as Alolan Marowak and Arcanine. Outside of Tailwind, it offers a few other solid traits, like a strong priority Flying hit, and a really great Speed tier. It'll be interesting seeing what the community can come up with for this mon.

Voting is now open! Our cores for this week are:

Dieu Amphibien's Zarude Dark
smub's Talonflame Fire

Leave your votes below and thanks smub and dieu for your submissions!

:Zarude:
The core we were given to build around consisted of Zarude on a Dark-type team, using a Chople Berry to allow it to check things like Keldeo and other Fighting-types that give Dark trouble.

:Urshifu:
Our next choice was a banded Urshifu as a wallbreaker and to add Fighting coverage; we decided Urshifu was guaranteed to be on the team so it was the easy second choice.

:Tyranitar:
At this point the team was lacking in a SR setter and a SpD tank, so Tyranitar was an easy option. We chose Heavy Slam to hit Hatterene, and Thunder Wave to spread paralysis to let our slower wallbreakers like Urshifu to be more effective.

:Mandibuzz:
The next Pokemon was another necessary addition; Mandibuzz complements Tyranitar well and creates a nice core. It has U-turn to bring Urshifu in more and Foul Play to hit the likes of Mimikyu and Bisharp.

:Hydreigon:
Our next choice was speed control with Scarf Hydreigon. This gives us a revenge killer and helps against Dragon.

:Incineroar:
Our last choice was initially Incineroar - this was to add type coverage vs Fire, Steel, Grass, etc. utilising a sweeping set of Flame Charge, Bulk Up, Power Trip, Drain Punch with Weakness Policy. Ultimately however it was decided that even in the event of Incineroar switching in to a threat such as Cinderace, it could not actually hit it back therefore it wasn't actually adding much to the team.

:Bisharp:
After deciding we did not want to use Incineroar we swapped it for Bisharp, using the standard Swords Dance set.

We are welcoming Fírnen to the project as a co-host! With our 4 co-hosts we will be sharing every other week; Firnen and I will be hosting one week in a European friendly timezone, whilst JT and Mat will be hosting in the next with a more American friendly timezone, hopefully meaning the project should hopefully be more widely accessible. This also will make things less of a burden for each current host individually and make it less troublesome when some of us aren't available for a week, so we should be more regular than we have been recently.

And finally, submissions for the next week's CCAT (hosted by JT and Mat) are open! This week's metagame will be Gen 5, leave your submissions below!

Kingdra @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Rain Dance
- Hydro Pump
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Pulse

The sweeper so powerful they complex banned it! Who needs Politoed when you can just run damp rock? The goal of this would be to build a swift swim water team. The kingdra set can be changed, but it has to have swift swim.

:bw/Latios: :bw/latias:
:
Latios (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Trick
- Surf
- Psychic
- Draco Meteor

Latias (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Thunder
- Healing Wish

Hello everyone! I'm back for another round of ccat and for this week I wanted to actually bring a core. So for the week, it's double choiced lati twins. I was thinking it can be on psychic since it isn't as common on psychic but I suppose it works on dragon as well. Anyways, the idea of this core is to apply immediate pressure. With Latias as speed control, it outruns most common dragon threats that psychic teams can't switch in, for example hydreigon, garchomp, and risking speed ties with opposing latis. It has psyshock over psychic for the normal match up in case you fail to trick the chansey with Latios. Speaking of which, Latios with its higher special attack threatens much of the metagame like scarf keld.
