- Shell Smash

So this was a team I build when I heard Slurpuff got its signature Belly Drum into Unburden combo back. So into that I thought, what is slurpuff not able to beat? and how can I add other pokemon that could help it shine? The first thing that came to mind was screens, and so espeon was added. The speed tier it gives, along with magic bounce really deters common rocks setter, and can weaken pokemon like Galarian weezing, doublade, and chandelure for Slurpuff. Next up was Haxorus, an easy choice to me just for its ability to do insane damage and appreciate what the other pokemon on the team can weaken. Lucario allows a reliable way to deal with dark types and generally adds good utility, and another way to beat doublade. Polteageist on an Hyper Offense Team is a given, and I think it's pretty obvious what it does. The last pokemon is another shell smasher in barbaracle, which can also act as a check to noivern if needed and a way to set up stealth rocks. Overall it's meant to use pokemon with similar checks to overpower the opponents team.

The voting phase ends Friday, April 10, good luck!

Necrozma @ Leftovers
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 16 HP / 252 Atk / 240 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Knock Off
- Photon Geyser
- Earthquake

Polteageist @ Focus Sash
Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shell Smash
- Shadow Ball
- Stored Power
- Giga Drain

This Hyper Offense build can be outplayed by an opposite Hyper Offense core, Dragon Dance Necrozma can set up in front of Espeon at least 2 times, and OHKO with Knock Off even with Reflect, then deal a big chunk to the rest of the team, an also Necrozma is kind of difficult to rk, as it can survive a +2 Liquidation from Barbaracle or an Outrage from Haxorus. I didn't give Necrozma specific evs, even moves, I just took the same one from the last week xd. Psychic Fangs was another option over Photon Gyser, as it can break Reflect and Light Screen, however that would be too specific for this team.
Then Polteageist, this mon can set un 1 Shell Smash and break the rest of the team, Sash makes sure to set up at least 1 Shell Smash
+2 252+ Atk Necrozma Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Espeon through Reflect: 305-359 (112.5 - 132.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Espeon Shadow Ball vs. 16 HP / 0 SpD Prism Armor Necrozma: 144-171 (42.4 - 50.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252+ Atk Necrozma Photon Geyser vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Haxorus through Reflect: 171-201 (58.3 - 68.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Haxorus Outrage vs. 16 HP / 0 Def Necrozma: 213-252 (62.8 - 74.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252 SpA Polteageist Stored Power (140 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Lucario through Light Screen: 209-246 (74.3 - 87.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 SpA Polteageist Stored Power (140 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Haxorus through Light Screen: 207-244 (70.6 - 83.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Polteageist calcs are based on a Shell Smash boost, however damage can be increased if Weak Armor gets activated
+2 252 SpA Polteageist Stored Power (180 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Lucario through Light Screen: 268-316 (95.3 - 112.4%) -- 75% chance to OHKO
+2 252 SpA Polteageist Stored Power (180 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Haxorus through Light Screen: 267-314 (91.1 - 107.1%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO

From experience I can safely say that Umbreon obliterates this team. Nothing can set up safely on it due to Foul Play, meaning the team's best hope is to throw attacks at it until it faints. That's much easier said than done given its teammate- Galarian Weezing benefits from Umbreon's Wish keeping it topped off to deal with Slurpuff and Lucario, the two main things that threaten Umbreon, resulting in an extremely frustrating core. As long as neither gets sacked to deal with Barbaracle you should be in the clear outside of great play by your opponent.

like someone said, HO can anhilate HO so i come here with the cool dug. Cool dug takes advantage of this team since it prevents everything from setting up with his good coverage + memento. It can also set-up rocks to break Barba's sash and memento so Hax can DD. Hax after a DD eats the whole team alive tbh not much to say about the broken dragon. The main threat of the team is Espeon, who can prevent dug to set up rocks and give a free barba but eh just be better and outplay the espeon and its a game.

Sorry if my fairly writing is fairly incoherent in advance.
Venusaur under sun can pretty much 6 0 this team unboosted with a little bit of chip. If Torkoal somehow gets rocks up the game is pretty much immediately over. The mons you need chip on are Espeon, Haxorus, and one of Barb or Polteageist. If you get up rocks then you dont need chip on Polteageist, or Barb. Torkoal can bait in a Espeon expecting rocks and lava plume which puts it in range of a unboosted giga drain (sorry I accidentally did the calc with modest Venusaur, its a 32.5% chance with timid. You can use sludge bomb instead for the guarantee KO.) from Venusaur. Torkoal can also take a +1 Haxourus earthquake after rocks and yawn stop a sweep and can take a +6 Slurpuff drain punch after rocks and yawn as well. When up against a full hp sash Barb as Venusaur make sure to weather ball first, then giga drain to get as enough healing to be able to take a shadow ball from Polteageist after another life orb move. (Edit) Sorry I forgot to mention that timid Venusaur under sun outspeeds both unburden Slurpuff and +2 Polteageist which let's it revenge kill Slurpuff and can revenge kill Polteageist with a bit of chip

Umbreon 6-0 this team with foul play and can take the majority of the hits and then heal himself back there.
Mantine is also a very good defensive partner, being able to defog the screens, haze all boosts and burn physical threats.

:ss/rotom-wash: :ss/noivern: :ss/cobalion: :ss/gardevoir: :ss/incineroar: :ss/Doublade:

I started with the VoltTurn + wallbreaker core of Rotom-W + Noivern + Choice Specs Gardevoir. Both of the pivots are able to bring in Gardevoir relatively safely in order to start breaking the opponent's team early- to mid-game. Cobalion sets up SR for Gardevoir and checks Pokemon like Mamoswine and Haxorus. It also helps to patch up Gardevoir's speed with Thunder Wave by slowing down faster Pokemon like Noivern. Incineroar also acts like a pivot that punishes bulky Water-types like Milotic and Vaporeon with Knock Off and Toxic, which are otherwise annoying for the team to deal with. It also helps Doublade, which acts as the late-game cleaner that loves Gardevoir's breaking capabilities in conjunction with the team's VoltTurn core.

Submission phase ends Friday April 17, good luck!

chuggy sluggy (Gastrodon) @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Earth Power
- Toxic
- Recover

ding dong (Bronzong) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Stealth Rock
- Protect
- Toxic
- Gyro Ball

Gastrodon is clearly a solid counter to Noivern, Rotom-W, and Cobalion (since it doesn't run SD). Bronzong is a fairly solid counter to Noivern and Gardevoir.

Gastrodon also beats Doublade and Incineroar, but is pretty badly crippled by Toxic so you probably want a primary Incineroar switch in or a Cobalion on your team to deter Knock Off. Doublade is also countered but can still do lot with +2 CC and +2 Sneak. It actually does 99.9% damage max funnily enough (70.8% max with CC, 6.25% leftovers recovery, and 35.9% with Shadow Sneak). You'll probably want other responses to those mons.

This type of core seems to fit well on more defensive balance teams with Umbreon and Sylveon.

Necrozma @ Lum Berry
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Photon Geyser
- Knock Off
- Earthquake

Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Focus Blast
- Vacuum Wave
- Dark Pulse

A DD or a NP is enough to break. Lum berry heals Necrozma from Cobalion's paralysis, which is done 2HKO by Eq +1 with the shuca berry.

+1 252+ Atk Necrozma Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Shuca Berry Cobalion: 126-149 (39 - 46.1%)
And then :
+1 252+ Atk Necrozma Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Cobalion: 252-298 (78 - 92.2%)

Necrozma also abuses the lack wow on rotom. He can then easily set up himself on it.

But Lucario will generally be the first to be set up, his role being to weaken pokemons such as doublade, Incineroar, Rotom ... to facilitate the Necrozma sweep.

This kind of core works very well in hyper offense, but also in bulky offense.

Passimian is a nice option versus this team, the use of Incineroar + a Defog Washtom without Willo means it's quite the threat with Defiant. NP Rotom-Wash pairs nicely with this, it can set up decently on Doublade, Rotom-Wash and Incineroar, and the team lacks clean answers to it, as the only pokemon that outspeeds it, Noivern, cannot freely switch in due to discharge para's or OHKO it without considerable chip, and appreciates Noivern's Boots being Knocked by Passimian, allowing it to OHKO noivern at +2 after Rocks.

252 SpA Noivern Draco Meteor vs. 188 HP / 0 SpD Rotom-Wash: 163-193 (56.5 - 67%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 112 SpA Rotom-Wash Discharge vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Noivern: 238-282 (76.5 - 90.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

+2 112 SpA Rotom-Wash Hydro Pump vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Gardevoir: 244-288 (87.7 - 103.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

0 SpA Rotom-Wash Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Passimian: 186-220 (54.5 - 64.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
