Star Wars Mafia

I'd like to hear what Hipmonlee has to say about this, since we know Hip is in contact with the inspector.

It doesn't make sense to me that Obi would come out himself with information from the inspector, since Hip has already done the same. Now there are two targets for the mafia to aim at, and unless we have a second bodyguard, one will die before long.

I honestly think Obi wouldn't make a mistake like that, so that leaves us a couple of possibilities. Obi could be lying. Obi could be getting his information from a different source than Hip. Obi could just be going on a hunch.

I don't trust Obi (yet anyway, maybe you are a good guy) and I'm waiting to hear what Hip has to say before I lynch anyone.
 
It's more than a hunch (although remember last game my biggest hunch was that aamto was bad, and look what he ended up being! Lord Voldemort!). This isn't a hunch. I have hard proof.

well since im not a bounty hunter the only explanation is that mafia has contacted you for some reason trying to target me at random since im a #fluodome reg or some shit

i can't really stop a bandwagon since mafia always jump on a bandwagon when it's not one of theirs, and it's especially bad since im not mafia.


if anything when i die you guys will see that obi's sources are wrong.
 
Let's review. Obi claims to have some source who's identified Gorm as a Bounty Hunter. Gorm however, is adamantly denying this and is claiming to be a Rebel. If we go ahead and lynch Gorm, and he does turn out to be a Rebel, then Obi should be up for the chopping block. Or he should give up his source, which is blatantly shown to be unreliable and more likely a mafia of some description.

However, I'm just hedging my bets a little. Also, Hip claims to be in touch with the inspector, and we haven't heard from him yet. Let's not be too hasty to lynch Gorm just yet until we hear from him.
 
I would say, from looking at the situation, that:

1) Obi is Empire. It would make sense to label one of your enemies as an enemy to his own allies, then everyone would want to kill him. Especially if you found out that this one enemy had some sort of special role.

2) Obi is a Bounty Hunter. Although, I doubt this. If he was, he wouldn't try to to kill one of his own. That or he is a BH lying to everyone to try an lynch a rebel. Possible, but I say less likely than choice 1.

3) Obi is Rebel. However, if Gorm is actually rebel, there would be no reason to target him. I honestly doubt Obi is gettin inspector info since Hip seems to be the trustworthy leader at this point, and is shown to be correct. This is definitely the least likely scenario.

Keep in mind that this is all speculation. Still, I say #1 is the most likely and I suggest to lynch obi. I will change my vote if Hip confirms Obi's statement, but for now, I'm really suspicious of anyone other than Hip claiming to have inspector info.
 
Ok, here is the deal. I dont trust Obi, at all. I think he may be Darth Vader or somebody similar. He is not making any effort to cooperate with me, despite claiming access to some kind of inspecting ability, if he has indeed inspected Gorm it is only by chance that we have not also targetted him for inspection, which would be extremely wasteful.. He also is immune to inspection. Which makes life difficult!

But I dont think he is an idiot, I doubt he would claim Gorm is anything without being able to back it up.

On the other hand, Gorm does have that reputation from #fluodome of never ever false claiming villager, which I have never seen nor heard of him breaking. Whether that extends to forum based mafia I am not sure..

So I dunno, does anyone else have any thoughts?

hell, I've trusted hipmonlee since the beginning of the game, and he seems to be suspicious of obi, kinda, warning the bodyguard not to contact obi. It seems that the bodyguard may have been in contact with obi, since he was protected, but obi has a way of seeming good and tricking people (I'm sure there's an adjective for that, but I can't think of it right now). This may be a clever maneuver, trying to make there be two people that everyone trusts, so the bodyguard can only protect one of them.

I find myself agreeing with gsumbreon, but I'll wait for hipmonlee to say something before I actually vote

I feel like siding with Gorm. He hasn't done anything suspicious, at least nothing that I noticed. I'm not sure how I feel about Obi. To be sure, I'll wait this one out.

I'm... leaning towards Obi at this point, but I'll probably wait until I get back from school and everyone has had a chance to post until I vote.
 
It's news to me that I'm immune to inspection. I suspect that this is because I, too, have the ability to inspect. My source for Gormenghast's guilt is GreenPikachu.

No, I don't think we can. You are confusing my play in both other games. This game I have barely done anything outside of PMing a couple people when I know about them. This is even my first vote. I did practically nothing all of last week, mostly due to being very ill. Please explain why you think I've played an aggressive game. (also lol "Agree or not, I think we can agree...")
 
Reposting so I don't have the "edited by..." thing stuck on there.

I actually found out about Gormenghast two nights ago, but I didn't say anything because I didn't want to conflict with the other lynch or give them time to work on a story / counterattack.

I'm currently talking to Hipmonlee, I hope he decides to !lynch Gormenghast

I dunno, but it seems some sort of BPV role would go to Rebels more often than another side. If Obi's lying, we'll have our next lynch target, at the very least.
 
due to hipmonlee's response to obi, either obi is the second inspector, or obi is not inspector at all.

I think we'd figure this out by the lynch results against gorm.
