speaking of removals I also don't really like the carrier/mothership removals. carrier almost purely because of tradition/lore, it would be like removing the marine. mothership since its utility has only recently been explored, especially late-game pvz in dealing with mass brood lords. if the reason it was removed is due to hero units... well thor?
ugh playing zerg against defensive 1 base terran is a nightmare. by the time i get 9pool up they've already completed their wall and have two or so marines out making zergling rush useless; by the time i've got mutas out they already have missile turrets, all this while pumping out siege tanks or thors. it's fucking ridiculous; i've tried every strategy in the book -- banelings are ripped apart in seconds by siege tanks, zerg air is useless as soon as terran gets the first thor out, burrowed infestors are made obsolete because of the huge amount of missile turrets all over the fucking map. it's absolutely frustrating since the terran army basically counters EVERYTHING in the zerg arsenal and thanks to medivacs even a strategy as crude as mass marines is deadly to zerg. i'm at my wit's end about what to do except OVERWHELM THEM WITH NUMBERS which i'm not having any success with lately :/
When he moves out of his base to kill you with tanks/marines, surround him with lings and roll in with banelings before he has time siege. A simple pincer maneuver will catch him off guard and seriously make him question moving out of his base again. Meanwhile you can macro and start massing mutas. He can make missle turrets all he likes, but against 20+ mutas there's not much he can do. Christ i know. There were like two engagements in the middle of the map where he just didn't lose a single ling, and he had some madd spreading skills.leenock absolutely destroyed naniwa, even though his sentry ffs were perfect. i dont remember exactly what happened in game 2 (i think he got corruptors though), but in every game a roach rush would cripple naniwa so badly that there was no coming back. he even canceled his scouted hatchery and went all in, naniwa had only 1 cannon that game xD
it was a sight to behold. also leenock's games vs DRG were insane, he has the best drone and zergling micro i have ever seen..

does anyone still play actively? i'm not on too frequently but the only person i ever see is TAY...
