Kinda surprising, I had no idea his health was in such a poor state. Would've been a bigger deal if he was still CEO of Apple, but it is still a shame, he was clearly a brilliant man.

he resigned the ceo position because of the pancreatic cancer essentially transferring power of ceo to tim cook so it still is a bigger deal

In my opinion apple =/= apple's marketing department and we shouldn't attempt to conflate the two---yes in many instances apple products are/were overpriced and added very few new features between generations but it's still a titan of industry that came out with several breakthroughs in the world of computing
