- The game Will feature 4 player offline and online mode, either 2 v 2 with the normal game system or all 4 at once using 2 layers of fighting
- Online Training mode
- Pandora Mode (with lack of any better naming for it): It's like X-Factor but with a shitload of negatives, your current character dies to power up the second character. You then have a time limit of about 8 seconds to finish your opponent off. Failing to do so will result in the automatic K.O of your Pandora Character.
- According to Lupinko (the guy that leaked the rosters of both SSF4 and MVC3/Umvc3) there will be about 50 characters in the game to rival UMvC3
- Able to collect gems, what it does is unknown as well as where you can get them.

I'm looking forward to this game, it should be interesting. Not a fan of its aesthetic though (CG trailers notwithstanding), it's all... weird and orange-y.

Really hoping for Juri and Leo!
 
yeah honestly why is all the footage focusing on such bizarre characters

and not that they don't matter but why on earth are kazuya and nina the flagship tekken characters ?_?
 
I thought the game was weird looking to but I got a chance to play an early build at NCR and it feels so nice @_@

Kazuya I can understand, Nina not so much, you'd be better off with either Jin or Heihachi, whose face looks like Dr.Wily, not kidding.

as for Juri, she might be in, M.Bison was pretty much confirmed already and she might make a re-appearance as his partner. It might also be Seth, Balrog or Vega basically as well.

also, new Gem system implemented, link in the OP to an Ono interview with pandora and such as well, what it does I dont know.

The least criticised fighting game in the recent era (which is amazing with how bitchy the fighting game scene is), that also appears to be the least luck based of the time with the amazing fact that it is a crossover of the two strongest fighting game series is going to be a crappy game? Only possible reason I could see for that is that you feel this way only because you are more a fan of the Tekken side...

Years of Street Fighter fans complaining that she wasn't playable combined with the fact that Ono likes her as a character in general got her in. Final Fight is technically part of the SF universe, so it is not that much of a stretch.

All I can say is it is probably the game I am most looking forward to at the moment, everything looks really entertaining, and even the crazy features like Pandora don't seem to be broken (you basically get an attempt at one combo, stuff it up and you will die). The gem system sounds interesting and it will be interesting to see exactly what it does to change the characters.
 
Actually im a bigger fan of street fighter thought in my experience crossover games just lead to alot of button mashers online and thy get pretty boring. I guess it time to dust of the ps3.
 
This looks sooo much better than UMvC.
I'm certainly hoping that the art style looks better in-game than it does in the trailers, though.

kazuya is a big fucking deal, so i would be okay with him on the cover but paired with nina?

it's not even that i think she is too minor it is just a shitty combination

this is nothing like tasunoko vs capcom or marvel vs capcom, think of it more like Tekken Tag Tournament, just with the SF4 engine basically

artwise it's not going to change since itll use the SF4 art basically, and tbh I think Tekken characters fit in very well with this artstyle really

To be fair, it doesn't really have the lineage that MvC3 and SF4 did (much more difficult to find faults in a game that's pretty much completely new). And you should probably qualify that with "Capcom" anyway, since I'm not really aware of much complaining about TTT2, KoF13, or especially Skullgirls.
