Pokemon: Tikilohi
Pet Mod of Origin: DLCmons
Stats: 80 / 120 / 110 / 65 / 100 / 30 (505)
Type: Ghost/Rock
Abilities: Cursed Body (H: Unnerve)
Tackle, Lick, Smokescreen, Rock Throw, Confuse Ray, Ominous Wind, Tar Shot, Dig, Rock Slide, Shadow Ball, Helping Souls*, Stone Edge, Trick Room, Earthquake, Recover, Calm Mind, Toxic, Hidden Power, Protect, Frustration, Earthquake, Double Team, Rock Tomb, Facade, Rest, Attract, Round, Gyro Ball, Swords Dance, Dream Eater, Swagger, Sleep Talk, Trick Room, Confide, Last Resort, Spite, Ally Switch, Stealth Rock

Helping Souls* - Ghost / Physical / 60 BP / 100 Acc / 15 (24) PP / Gains 20 BP for each fainted ally
Reasoning: A much needed Beheeyem counter. It counters Beheeyem with Helping Souls. Also works as a great trick room sweeper (hence how it defeats Beheeyem).

:ss/kommo-o-totem:
Pokemon: Komodond
Pet Mod of Origin: DLCmons
Stats: 79 / 137 / 109 / 131 / 103 / 11 (570)
Type: Dragon/Water
Abilities: Beast Boost
Aqua Jet, Water Gun, Twister, Water Pulse, Dragon Breath, Defog, Whirlpool, Rain Dance, Scary Face, Scald, Dragon Pulse, Coil, Aqua Tail, Outrage, Hydro Pump, Recover, Focus Blast, Water spout, Work Up, Dragon Claw, Toxic, Hail, Hidden Power, Taunt, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Hyper Beam, Protect, Rain Dance, Frustration, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Return, Leech Life, Psychic, Double Team, Sludge Wave, Flamethrower, Sludge Bomb, Fire Blast, Torment, Facade, Flame Charge, Rest, Thief, Round, Overheat, Focus Blast, Scald, Payback, Giga Impact, Swords Dance, Frost Breath, X-Scissor, Dragon Tail, Poison Jab, Swagger, Sleep Talk, Substitute, Wild Charge, Surf, Waterfall, Confide, Snore, Icy Wind, Dragon Pulse, Outrage, Draco Meteor, Defog, Uproar, Bind, Shock Wave, Snatch, Iron Tail, Giga Drain, Signal Beam, Stealth Rock, Water Pulse, Aqua Tail, Tailwind, Endeavor, Zen Headbutt, Liquidation, Super Fang, Throat Chop, Earth Power, Gunk Shot, Dual Chop, Heat Wave, Hyper Voice, Superpower, Clangorous Soul
Reasoning: Another Beheeyem counter. Can hit harder but without being super effective. Beheeyem needs to run max special bulk to live an unboosted water spout from this beast.

:ss/qwilfish:
Pokemon: Sharpxine
Pet Mod of Origin: The Complete Pokedex Redone V4
Stats: 115 / 105 / 95 / 55 / 75 / 65 (510)
Type: Water/Poison
Abilities: Poison Point / Swift Swim (H: Intimidate)
Qwilfish's Movepool + Baneful Bunker, Spiky Shield, Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Earthquake, Gunk Shot, Slack Off

:ss/ampharos-mega:
Pokemon: Ramjestic
Pet Mod of Origin: Mega Revolution
Stats: 95 / 95 / 100 / 125 / 90 / 45 (550)
Type: Electric/Fairy
Abilities: Fluffy (H: Mold Breaker)
Ampharos's Movepool + Dazzling Gleam, Misty Explosion, Misty Terrain, Play Rough, Draining Kiss, Disarming Voice, Power Gem, Calm Mind, Moonblast
Just letting you know, none of these are Beheeyem counters, since they can't actually switch in. And the former is outslowed by Macho Brace Beheeyem, unless you decide to run Macho Brace yourself, which may not be ideal since you aren't always gonna be under Beheeyem's Time Warp. I may just also say 11 speed + Water Spout is a terrible idea

PSA - The following Mods that you can submit from do not have any representation yet:
Break This Team, Fusion Evolution Under Used, Generation X, Mega Revolution, The Pokédex Redone V3

:ss/spiritomb:
Pokémon: Spiritomb
Mod of Origin: CFM (asterisks mark CFM-modified mechanics)
Stats: 65 / 102 / 108 / 102 / 108 / 5 [BST: 490]
Typing:

Abilities: Pressure / Power of Alchemy* / Infiltrator
Viable Moves:
- Crunch*, Frustration, Pursuit, Return, Shadow Sneak, Sucker Punch
- Dark Pulse*, Dream Eater*, Fire Blast*, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Nightmare*, Psychic*, Sludge Bomb, Thunderbolt
- Dark Void*, Nasty Plot, Pain Split, Trick
Based on Spiritomb’s Natdex Movepool
Added Moves: Blizzard*, Crunch*, Dark Void*, Fire Blast*, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Poison Fang*, Sludge Bomb, Thunder*, Thunderbolt
Removed Moves: Burning Jealousy, Giga Impact*, Hex, Hyper Beam*, Payback, Phantom Force*, Poltergeist, Shock Wave*, Toxic
Complete Reworks:
Nightmare - Special, 95 base power, 100% accuracy, 16pp. Causes the Nightmare effect on sleeping targets, damaging them for 1/8 of their health each turn while asleep. If a Pokemon with this move in its moveset puts a target to sleep, the Nightmare effect is automatically applied.
Power of Alchemy - The move in the first moveslot changes to the user’s primary type, and has its power boosted by 20%.

Other Changes:
Blizzard - 120 base power.
Crunch - 85 base power.
Dark Pulse - 90 base power.
Dark Void - 80% accuracy, usable by all Dark-types rather than just Darkrai.
Dream Eater - 75 base power, target doesn’t have to be asleep, 1.5x damage on sleeping targets.
Fire Blast - 120 base power.
Natural Gift - No longer consumes the user’s berry.
Poison Fang - 70 base power, 10% chance to badly poison and/or flinch the target.
Protect - Psychic-type move.
Psychic - 20% chance to lower the target’s SpD by 1.
Rest - Normal-type move.
Shadow Ball - 90bp, 16pp.
Sleep Talk - Can no longer call Rest.
Thunder - 120bp.
Uproar - 120bp, lasts 2-3 turns, confuses the user after.

I think it’s very important that we vote in a Pursuit user in order to allow HO to exist in a mod where Beheeyem is prominent, and CFM Spiritomb is a perfect fit. It’s slow and has to rely on bulk to get off a Pursuit against anything but Beheeyem, so you can’t throw it around at random, but it does have Infiltrator, meaning that not even Substitute (rip Gengar) or Screens can save Dark-weak mons from you if you manage to come in safely and tank a hit. Outside of trapping, Spiritomb is an interesting mon, with its utility on the physical side but its coverage on the special side, making for a decent mixed attacker with Macho Brace if you want to take that route. It can use Dark Void to annoy switchins, and Nightmare, its strongest non-Power of Alchemy STAB, passively makes that even more potent. It would also be the first mon on offense that can switch into standard dual STAB + Knock Pirouetta, which is VERY welcome. It’s not perfect by any means though; Spiritomb’s lack of speed, valuable resistances, or reliable recovery leaves it easily worn down, and then revenged by just about any strong attacker besides Beheeyem.

:ss/mightyena:(placeholder sprite)
Pokémon: Silicyon
Mod of Origin: Generation X
Stats: 55 / 100 / 115 / 50 / 60 / 130 [BST: 510]
Typing:

Abilities: Technician / Volt Absorb / Light Metal
Viable Moves:
- Aerial Ace, Bite, Bulldoze, Double Kick, Iron Head, Knock Off, Magnet Bomb, Psychic Fangs, Rock Tomb, Sucker Punch, Superpower
- no
- Swords Dance, Thunder Wave
Aerial Ace, Assurance, Attract, Bite, Bulldoze, Confide, Crunch, Dig, Double-Edge, Double Kick, Double Team, Echoed Voice, Eerie Impulse, Facade, Flash Cannon, Frustration, Giga Impact, Growl, Helping Hand, Hidden Power, Howl, Hyper Beam, Ice Fang, Iron Defense, Iron Head, Iron Tail, Knock Off, Magnet Bomb, Magnet Rise, Metal Burst, Metal Claw, Metal Sound, Natural Gift, Protect, Psychic Fangs, Quick Attack, Rain Dance, Rest, Retaliate, Return, Revenge, Roar, Rock Tomb, Sand Tomb, Shadow Claw, Shock Wave, Sleep Talk, Snarl, Snore, Spark, Steel Beam, Substitute, Super Fang, Superpower, Swagger, Swords Dance, Tackle, Tail Whip, Thief, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thunder Fang, Thunder Wave, Work Up

I’m resubmitting Silicyon from last slate because after playtesting, I’m convinced that it would fit extremely well into Smash. As a fast revenge killer and setup sweeper, it fills a similar role to Beheeyem, but trades infinite speed and raw power for a nice defensive typing, deceptively good physical bulk, and a ton of Technician-boosted coverage, giving it a very different matchup spread. It can OHKO most fast mons with the right move if Banded and can finish off weakened slower threats like Ares and Miltank, while also helping to decentralize Beheeyem in the meta, all making for a very healthy addition to the mod.

:ss/milotic:(placeholder sprite)
Pokémon: Aerieel
Mod of Origin: The Pokédex Redone V3
Stats: 100 / 50 / 99 / 95 / 115 / 81 [BST: 540]
Typing:

Abilities: Marvel Scale / Swift Swim / Lightning Rod
Viable Moves:
- Flip Turn
- Air Slash, Hurricane, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Scald
- Calm Mind, Haze, Roost, Toxic
Based on Milotic’s Gen 8 Movepool
Added Moves: Air Slash, Brave Bird, Calm Mind, Dual Wingbeat, Hurricane, Roost
Removed Moves: Body Slam, Dragon Dance, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Tail, Iron Tail

Between its typing, bulk, and Lightning Rod, Aerieel can come in on a lot of top-tier threats. Specially defensive sets can take on Ares, offensive Gengar, Joltry, and more, while physically defensive makes for a pretty good switchin on mons like Gladiaster and Escavalier. It can clean up late game with Calm Mind, pivot around with Flip Turn, and clear status with Haze, but that’s really all the utility it has and it’s pretty passive, preventing it from outclassing Velm or Pych as a bulky water. Rock weakness hurts too, all but forcing it to run boots.

:ss/carbink:(placeholder sprite)
Pokémon: Jewelode
Mod of Origin: Break This Team
Stats: 80 / 61 / 80 / 111 / 80 / 111 [BST: 523]
Typing:

Abilities: Sturdy / Clear Body / Neutralizing Gas
Viable Moves:
- U-Turn
- Energy Ball, Hidden Power, Moonblast, Power Gem, Psychic, Psyshock,
- Encore, Healing Wish, Stealth Rock, Taunt, Teleport, Trick
After You, Ally Switch, Ancient Power, Attract, Block, Body Slam, Brick Break, Bulldoze, Captivate, Confide, Curse, Dazzling Gleam, Dig, Disarming Voice, Double-Edge, Dream Eater, Earthquake, Encore, Endure, Energy Ball, Explosion, Facade, Fairy Wind, Frustration, Giga Impact, Harden, Head Smash, Headbutt, Healing Wish, Hidden Power, Hyper Beam, Iron Defense, Iron Head, Magic Room, Mimic, Misty Terrain, Moonblast, Mud-Slap, Natural Gift, Play Rough, Power Gem, Protect, Psychic, Psyshock, Rest, Return, Roar, Rock Blast, Rock Slide, Rock Smash, Rock Throw, Rock Tomb, Rollout, Round, Sand Tomb, Sandstorm, Secret Power, Shadow Ball, Sleep Talk, Smack Down, Snore, Stealth Rock, Stomping Tantrum, Stone Edge, Strength, Substitute, Sunny Day, Superpower, Tackle, Take Down, Taunt, Teleport, Toxic, Trick, Trick Room, U-Turn, Wonder Room, Work Up

A unique offensive pivot with a solid typing, a very good speed tier for the meta, and a lot of good matchups thanks to Neutralizing Gas. The drawback is some pretty bad 4MSS: You want Moonblast for sure, U-Turn for pivoting, Power Gem for secondary STAB, Stealth Rock and Healing Wish for team support, Energy Ball for Miltank, Lycanroc, and Pych, Shadow Ball for Beheeyem, Gengar, and Rapidash, Psyshock for special walls, Gengar, and Base Alt, HP Ground or Fire for Steels... It’s kind of overwhelming, but ultimately for the best with how strong NGas is, and allows this mon to really be tailored to its team.

4DAB4DCE-F0B7-4FC4-B28E-DE45E34634D6.png

Pokémon: Flaant
Mod of Origin: Fusion Evolution UnderUsed
Stats: 76 / 114 / 109 / 76 / 79 / 109 [BST: 563]
Typing:

Ability: Hustle
Viable Moves:
- First Impression, Grav Apple, Stomping Tantrum, Stone Edge, Sucker Punch, Superpower, U-Turn, X-Scissor
- no
- Dragon Dance
(Full movepool is Durant’s movepool + Flapple’s movepool)

This thing hits stupidly hard, but has a pretty bad STAB combo to make up for it. Of course, that STAB combo does give it STAB priority, pivoting, and defense dropping, so it’s not THAT bad. In Smash, Flaant can play as a pivot with Boots or Scarf, a breaker with Band, or take full advantage of Dragon Dance for the first time thanks to newfound accuracy from Augmented Lens.

:rb/ditto:(placeholder sprite)
Item: Ditto Plush
Mod of Origin: DLCmons
Effect: Transforms into an opponent’s item on switchin (before any other effects of switching in), and transforms back into a Ditto Plush when switching out.

This one seems gimmicky, but extremely fun. You never know what effect you’re going to get. Maybe you’ll dodge hazard damage with HDB switching in against a pivot. Maybe you’ll gain passive recovery from Lefties to help you stay in against a wall. Maybe you’ll get a damage bonus against a bulky attacker running Macho Brace. Of course, for every few good items to copy there’s an unwanted choice item or Assault Vest, but even then you’re getting information out of it, so it’s not all bad.

62FDE45E-6F8B-45FD-83E4-0FA23BF1823E.png

Item: Nectar
Mod of Origin: Crossover Chaos
Effect: Air Balloon, but for Bug-type moves.

A tech option that allows carefully-played mons to avoid First Impression and block U-Turn, which is really nice in a mod with Unown-M running around.

^' '^(placeholder... text?)
Item: Spider Ring
Mod of Origin: Item Factory
Effect: Attacks against statused targets drain health for 50% of the damage dealt. (Fling inflicts Infestation.)

We have a ton of status spreaders with Torgeist as the only abuser, but adding multiple status abusing Pokemon is kind of excessive, so here’s an item to benefit status spam instead.

Also, while I’m editing this, I should mention:
In DLCmons Komodond is a menace on trick room teams. I suppose they can't really switch in, but they can force Beheeyem out into a different pokemon. Komodond may be weaker out of Trick Room but it still is a decent pokemon. Also Tikilohi is supposed to be an offensive trick room setter.
Subbing dedicated Trick Room mons as a way to deal with Beheeyem is a bad idea, as Beheeyem itself invalidates Trick Room as an archetype with its ability to instantly end it by switching in and out.

Moves: Gyarados' movepool + Coil, Dragon Rush

I was bored and had some free time, so here are my thoughts on every sub so far (except my own because bias).

:blastoise-mega:Galapagon (MegaRev)
Last slate I was worried that this might be too much, but after seeing it played in its home mod I can say that it’s definitely fine. Solid sweeper, not much else to say.

:polteageist:Longcha (Regional Evos)
Having an Ares switchin is really nice, and I can see this being a solid addition to the meta, though I do have some concerns over its passivity. Poor thing doesn’t even get Toxic. It‘s also a much better dedicated cleric than Alcremie, for better or worse.

:donphan:Mastodent (Break)
Bias warning, I subbed this one in Break, so of course I love the mon itself. It’s a damn good breaker. Sadly, it faces competition from Mamoswine and Lemotic, and while it’s better than either imo, I don’t think we need another slow Ground breaker rn.

:pangoro:Pangoro (PG)
Another strong breaker. This one faces some competition from Red Riot as a Fighting-type and Drapion as a Dark, but the type combination and Parting Shot should be enough to allow it to stand out. Good pick.

:tapu-koko:Tikilohi (DLC)
This mon was subbed as a “Beheeyem counter”, which it can’t do. The sad thing is that if not for Beheeyem, this thing would be a really cool OTR or Trick Room mon with a unique catch-up mechanic, and an easy vote for me. However, the fact that an S-tier mon invalidates most of what it wants to do REALLY hurts it and kind of kills the mon.

:kommo-o:Komodond (DLC)
Another “Beheeyem counter” that can’t function because of Beheeyem‘s existence. Offensively, this mon really needs Trick Room to work, which isn’t viable with Beheeyem being so prominent, and as a bulky attacker it’s just outclassed by Water Vellumental.

:qwilfish:Sharpxine (TCPP V4)
I liked this mon a lot when it was subbed back in slate 5, and I still really like it now. That said, we have 2 bulky Waters and 4 bulky Poisons including megas, so it does feel kind of unneeded rn.

:ampharos-mega:Ramjestic (MegaRev)
We do have a good number of bulky special attackers, but this one stands out thanks to pivoting, and its bulk largely being on the physical side. Ram has poor matchups against some of the best mons in the tier, but it would still be a good addition imo.

:sableye:Sableye (Viabilities)
One infinite-speed mon is bad enough, we really don’t need another.

:orbeetle-gmax:Ufony (Break)
Funny UFO mon. We have a Steel Spinner, a Steel with Recovery, a Dark Spinner with Pivoting, and a Spinner with Recovery and pivoting, but having all of those rolled into one mon seems pretty nice for role compression, even if it does step on a lot of toes.

:gyarados-mega:Lordiathan (MegaRev)
A strong setup sweeper and much-needed offensive Water. Both abilities are great for it here. Lord isn’t great in MegaRev from what I’ve heard, but I can definitely see it being a force to be reckoned with in Smash.

:kangaskhan-mega:Kangatwo (MegaRev)
This one suffers from competition with Miltank and Claydol as a bulky ground and competition with the other three Grounds when offensively-leaning, but does have a place as a bulky offensive hazard setter.

:zarude:Hekrazor (TPR V3)
Hekrazor feels really borderline to me. It’s basically a Bisharp that trades Defiant for a ton of bulk and coverage, plus absurdly good stallbreaking potential thanks to Swords Dance + Jungle Healing. I think it’s just a bit too much for the meta to handle.

:zarude:Zarude (Sylve)
Dispersal + Sylve Seed Bomb is nice, Sylve Leafage is nice, and Sylve Synthesis is amazing. Of course, I might just like this one because I know what Aquatic plans to follow it up with, but it’s neat either way.

As for items, our winner is the Ditto Plush! Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to everyone who's participated this slate!

1615320430447.png

So, with that settled, we can immediately begin the new slate, a bit of a change of pace but the mod is approaching its end and I'd rather not have it slow down now. Might seem a bit of an odd choice, but we're already late on my planned schedule so I'd rather try to catch up on lost days asap. As for how long this slate will last, it will be open until Saturday Night, with voting occuring on Sunday, and then on Monday we return to the usual schedule. So, with that all settled, Submissions are Open! Having said that though, it would also be nice if you included sets for this slate's winners on the posts, maybe even separate them using the 1615320430447.png like I have on this post.

:ss/sunkern:
Pokemon: Sanddern
Pet Mod of Origin: DLCmons
Stats: 90 / 100 / 80 / 66 / 80 / 96 (512)
Type: Ground Water
Abilities: Sand Veil / Dry Skin (H: Sifting)
Sunkern's Movepool plus Tackle, Sand Attack, Dig, Bubble, Sand Tomb, Lunge, Dive, Rain Dance, Earthquake, Sandstorm, Scald, Explosion, Gyro Ball, Bulldoze, Surf, Waterfall, Water Pulse, Aqua Ring, Rapid Spin, Spike, Brine, Ancient Power, Aqua Jet, Recover, Iron Defense, Camouflage, Reversal, First Impression, Heal Bell, Block, Stealth Rock, Iron Head, Liquidation, Thousand Arrows, Hyper Beam, Torment, Giga Impact, U-Turn, Icy Wind, & Knock Off but also minus Curse, Double-Edge, Earth Power, Encore, Energy Ball, Giga Drain, Grass Knot, Leech Seed, Light Screen, Morning Sun, Seed Bomb, Sludge Bomb, Solar Beam, Swords Dance, Synthesis, Absorb, After You, Bide, Bullet Seed, Captivate, Cut, Endure, Flash, Grass Whistle, Grassy Terrain, Growth, Helping Hand, Ingrain, Mega Drain, Mimic, Natural Gift, Nature Power, Razor Leaf, Round, Safeguard, Secret Power, Snore, Sunny Day, Swagger, Sweet Scent, Uproar, & Worry Seed
When using the move dig or dive, the user may choose to switch instead of attacking on the second turn.
Reasoning: I may be biased but I love sunkern so in DLCmons when we did the regional variant slate I had to post a regional sunkern. I just love this little guy. I can't help but resub him.

:ss/turtonator:
Pokemon: Turtonator
Pet Mod of Origin: ViAbilities
Stats: 70 / 78 / 135 / 91 / 85 / 46 (475)
Type: Fire
Abilities: Shell Armor - ViAbilities (H: White Smoke - ViAbilities)
Turtonator's Movepool + Spikes
White Smoke - This Pokemon is immune to all stat drops, including self-inflicted ones.
Shell Armor - If the user has no status conditions, both Physical and Special damage are calculated with the user's Defense. Using Shell Smash will change the user's Ability to Weak Armor.
Reasoning: With access to moves like overheat, shell smash, and draco meteor with no stat drops, this thing is a menace. It hits hard and has no drawback from the moves. It can also run shell armor to hit using its huge 135 defense stat. A great sweeper.

:ss/moltres:
Pokemon: Flarenix
Pet Mod of Origin: DLCmons
Stats: 100 / 95 / 90 / 110 / 110 / 95 (600)
Type: Flying/Fire
Abilities: Magic Guard (H: Regenerator)
Screenshot_2021-03-15 DLCmons - Google Drive.png
Screenshot_2021-03-15 DLCmons - Google Drive(1).png
Flaming Decent - Fire / Physical / 100 BP / 100 acc / 24 PP / User becomes grounded after using this move
Reasoning: Flarenix is great. It hits hard and is quite decent. I has magic guard to ignore hazards or it can run heavy duty boots and have regenerator. All around a decent pokemon that was originally overlooked in DLCmons until its true power was noticed. Also it isn't a moltres, I just chose to put moltres there because they are both fire/flying types.

Item: Fishing Rod
Pet Mod of Origin: DLCmons
Description: Prevents Water types from switching out.

Item: Karma Mirror
Pet Mod of Origin: DLCmons
Description: When the opponent uses Knock Off against the holder, the opponent looses its item and the holder keeps the Karma Mirror.

More to come!

Viable Moves:
- Cross Poison, Night Slash, Psycho Cut, Sucker Punch, U-Turn
- Dark Pulse, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Snipe Shot
- Swords Dance
Movepool Additions - Cross Poison, Night Slash, Psycho Cut

Last slate, doing the sub reviews for mons like Lordiathan and Ramjestic got me thinking about mons that aren’t great in their home mods, which is how I got to this mon. Megamax Inteleon struggles due to a lack of power and a gimmicky ability in Megamax, but in Smash, with the lower power level and low speed tiers, this thing has a chance to be a legitimate threat. It can put a lot of pressure on offense through its uncontested speed tier, and annoy fat by pivoting around to support its team. However, there’s a lot of priority going around that bodies this thing, and its power is still relatively low, preventing its speed from being overbearing like Beheeyem’s Room. Base Inteleon is also cool here, providing a solid specially offensive water with a great speed tier.

Pokémon: Jewelode
Mod of Origin: Break This Team
Stats: 80 / 61 / 80 / 111 / 80 / 111 [BST: 523]
Typing:

Abilities: Sturdy / Clear Body / Neutralizing Gas
Viable Moves:
- U-Turn
- Energy Ball, Moonblast, Power Gem, Psychic, Psyshock, Shadow Ball
- Encore, Healing Wish, Stealth Rock, Taunt, Teleport, Trick
After You, Ally Switch, Ancient Power, Attract, Block, Body Slam, Brick Break, Bulldoze, Captivate, Confide, Curse, Dazzling Gleam, Dig, Disarming Voice, Double-Edge, Dream Eater, Earthquake, Encore, Endure, Energy Ball, Explosion, Facade, Fairy Wind, Giga Impact, Harden, Head Smash, Headbutt, Healing Wish, Hyper Beam, Iron Defense, Iron Head, Magic Room, Mimic, Misty Terrain, Moonblast, Mud-Slap, Play Rough, Power Gem, Protect, Psychic, Psyshock, Rest, Roar, Rock Blast, Rock Slide, Rock Smash, Rock Throw, Rock Tomb, Rollout, Round, Sand Tomb, Sandstorm, Shadow Ball, Sleep Talk, Smack Down, Snore, Stealth Rock, Stomping Tantrum, Stone Edge, Strength, Substitute, Sunny Day, Superpower, Tackle, Take Down, Taunt, Teleport, Toxic, Trick, Trick Room, U-Turn, Wonder Room, Work Up

A unique offensive pivot with an amazing speed tier that can mess with a LOT of mons thanks to Neutralizing Gas. Beheeyem is outsped. Mega Vanilluxe can’t activate Cold Sweat to hit you with a super-effective weather ball. Camomander can’t use Protean coverage to hit you as hard. The utility provided by NGas is just so good that despite being unable to touch Steels, this thing will definitely be a threat. Also the new sprite is absolutely adorable and I love it.

Pokémon: Pyroasta
Mod of Origin: The Pokédex Redone V3
Stats: 80 / 125 / 80 / 65 / 80 / 100 [BST: 530]
Typing:

Abilities: Blaze / Magic Guard
Viable Moves:
- First Impression, Gunk Shot, High Jump Kick, Leech Life, Pyro Ball, Sucker Punch, U-Turn
- nah
- Bulk Up, Court Change
(Full Movepool is Cinderace’s + First Impression, Leech Life, and Skitter Smack)

We don’t have a splashable offensive Fire at this point, so Pyroasta is here to take that role for itself. On paper this might seem to compete heavily with Unown, but I can’t see that being an issue. Whereas Unown plays the offensive support role far better, Pyroasta is just a hard-hitting offensive pivot, like a slower pre-Libero Cinderace with Magic Guard. It’s certainly strong, but there are plenty of faster mons to revenge kill it, and it struggles to break Ares, Thick Fat Miltank, or physically defensive Waters.

Pokémon: Hyakada
Mod of Origin: Generation X
Stats: 85 / 115 / 95 / 115 / 75 / 115 [BST: 600]
Flare Form - 85 / 135 / 55 / 135 / 105 / 135 [BST: 650]
Typing:

Ability: Solar Flare (This Pokemon changes to Flare form while Harsh Sunlight is active.)
Full Movepool:
- Century Blade, Explosion, Flare Blitz, Rapid Spin, Sacred Sword, Solar Blade, Stone Edge, Triple Axel
- Aura Sphere, Focus Blast, Ice Beam, Meteor Beam, Power Gem, Solar Beam, Weather Ball
- Morning Sun, Rock Polish, Stealth Rock, Swords Dance

Century Blade: Rock type, Physical, 120 base power, 90% acc, 8pp. Raises user's Defense by 1 on turn 1. Hits turn 2. No charge in sunlight.

Hyakada is just a very versatile fast attacker, something we surprisingly lack right now. It’s a good option for sun teams, being stronger outside of sun than Joltry or Floraflare but benefitting from it far less. Of course, it’s also solid on non-sun teams. 115 / 115 / 115 offenses are nothing to sneeze at, especially when they come with some amazing coverage, utility, and setup potential. It may have an awful defensive typing, but when it comes in, Hyakada can do some real damage.

Pokémon: Mega Bastiodon
Mod of Origin: Megas for All
Stats: 60 / 102 / 168 / 47 / 168 / 50
Type: Ground / Steel
Abilities: Settle
When using a given special move for the first time in at least three turns, this Pokémon uses its Attack stat, and the power is increased by 100%. Has no effect if the same special move has been used in the last three turns. (If you're familiar with Smash Bros, think stale move negation)
Additional moves: Earth Power

This Pokemon... this Pokemon right here was made for me. I don't think woworiginal knew they were making it for me when they made it, but this Pokemon was made specifically for me, and I love it as if it were my own.

Do you like being stylish? Do you like flexing on your opponent with hard-ass reads? If you answered yes to either of those questions, then you and Mega Bastiodon will get along swimmingly. Mega Bastiodon has the potential to pack a powerful punch with moves like Earth Power, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, and Thunderbolt, but it can't just spam these moves willy-nilly. Once it spends a special move, that specific special move will deal diminutive damage for the next few turns. This limitation forces Mega Bastiodon to predict when the opponent will switch, and what they will switch into. Let's say you predict your opponent to switch to Cradon, so you go for Flamethrower. If you're right, Cradon is super dead.

252+ Atk Settle Bastiodon-Mega Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Cradon: 508-600 (132.2 - 156.2% ) -- guaranteed OHKO

However, if you're wrong, Cradon is safe to switch in on the next turn.

0- SpA Bastiodon-Mega Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Cradon: 92-112 (23.9 - 29.1%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

Pokemon Name: Pangoro
Mod of Origin: Perfect Galar
Typing:

Stat Changes: 95 / 136 (+12) / 98 (+20) / 54 (-15) / 86 (+15) / 68 (+10)
Movepool Changes: +Mach Punch, +Sucker Punch, +Sky Uppercut
*Sky Uppercut - 95% accuracy, super-effective against Flying-type Pokemon, can hit Pokemon during semi-invulnerable turns of Fly and Bounce.

THe people have been craving a Dark type. And not just any Dark type - one that ain't some tank. Thus Pangoro was born. A Swords Dance Wallbreaker with access to useful priority options and actual switch in opportunities thanks to its bulk not being a wet noodle.

Pokémon: Yanmega
Mod of Origin: OptiMons
Type:

Abilities: Speed Boost / Tinted Lens | HA: Frisk
Stats: 96 / 76 / 86 / 116 / 56 / 95 [515 BST]
Added Moves: Dragon Pulse, Draco Meteor, Focus Blast.

Cool special bug type. Offensive Dragoon. It do be the mon. With a bunch of defensive Dragon types scouring the metagame, having a cool offensive one to check them is prettt darn useful

Pokémon: Golurk
Mod of Origin: ViAbilities
Typing:

Abilities: Iron Fist* / Klutz** | HA: No Guard
*Regardless of Type, Punch moves are always Super Effective (as in, deal 2x) against Fairies. Can be 4x is the other type is weak to that type (ie. Fire & Drain Punch would be 4x vs Magerna)
**The user's contact moves will remove the opponent's items, but it will lose its own item upon being hit by any attack.
Stats: 89 HP / 139 Atk / 80 Def / 50 SpA / 80 SpD / 70 Spe
Added Moves: Shadow Sneak, Shadow Claw, Swords Dance

Golurk is a cool wallbreaker with a bunch of funky abilities. Klutz can utilitize Shadow Claw as a pseudo Knock Off, while it can use No Guard Poltergeist. While Ground types do exist in the tier, they are primarily defensive Pokémon, and most definitely wont be breaking past god wall Pyukichin anytime soon. That's where Golurk comes in, to bust them up. Shadow Sneak also helps versus Beheeyem. Defensively, almost every Dark type resists its Ground STAB, making it difficult to spam its STABS freely. Several Ground reaists and generally defensive Pokemon also exist that gives it trouble. Having a Ground type that can attempt to break Mega Altaria seems like an important tool in general.

Pokémon: Vikavolt

Typing:

Stats: 77 / 70 / 95 / 145 / 80 / 58 | BST 527

Movepool: Same as in Standard

A powerful Volt Switch Pivot that can double as a niche SpD tank thanks to how Battery works.

Pokemon Name: Draxplosion
Mod of Origin: Break This Team
Typing: Fire/Dragon
Ability: Illuminate / Mold Breaker
Stats: 70/120/107/60/70/92 (519)
Moves: Blaze Kick, Roost, Earthquake, Dragon Dance, Dragon Claw, Swords Dance, Fire Blast, Draco Meteor, Magnitude, Hone Claws, Dragon Rush, Outrage, Work Up, Solar Blade, all universal TMs

Aerial Ace, Attract, Bite, Blaze Kick, Body Slam, Breaking Swipe, Brick Break, Brutal Swing, Bulldoze, Captivate, Confide, Covet, Crunch, Curse, Cut, Dig, Double-Edge, Draco Meteor, Dragon Breath, Dragon Claw, Dragon Dance, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Rage, Dragon Rush, Dragon Tail, Earth Power, Earthquake, Ember, Endure, Facade, Fire Blast, Fire Punch, Fire Spin, Flame Charge, Flamethrower, Fling, Fly, Focus Blast, Frustration, Giga Impact, Headbutt, Heat Wave, Helping Hand, Hidden Power, Hone Claws, Hyper Beam, Hyper Voice, Incinerate, Laser Focus, Leer, Magnitude, Mimic, Mud-Slap, Natural Gift, Outrage, Overheat, Payback, Protect, Rest, Return, Roar, Rock Smash, Roost, Round, Safeguard, Scale Shot, Scary Face, Secret Power, Shadow Claw, Shock Wave, Sleep Talk, Snore, Solar Beam, Solar Blade, Strength, Substitute, Sunny Day, Swagger, Swift, Swords Dance, Tackle, Thief, Thunderbolt, Twister, Will-o-Wisp, Work Up

A strong Fire type wallbreaker, something that surprisingly is lacking in this metagame. Mold Breaker makes it able to ignore Unaware and proerly break past Stall. Its defensive typing leaves it something to be desired however, and its reliance on low base power STABs in Dragon Claw and Blaze Kick keep it in check.

I'm throwing the meta out the window here, and into a ditch where it should stay. I want one thing in this mod and it's pretty clear as to what it is.

Pokemon: Goose
Mod of Origin: Crossover Chaos
Type: Normal/Flying
Stats: 70/100/66/88/62/85 (Total: 465)
Abilities: Prankster/Pickpocket/Relentless (Metronome but as an ability)
Signature Move: Goose Honk
- Type: Flying
- Classification: Special
- Power: 45
- Accuracy: 100
- PP: 30 (max 48)
- Effect: Sound move. Has a 50% chance to flinch. With each consecutive use, adds 15 to base power, up to 120, and reduces flinch chance by 10%, down to 0%.
Movepool: Fake Out, Double Edge, Quick Attack, Hyper Voice, Fury Attack, Peck, Wing Attack, Drill Peck, Gust, Air Slash, Fly, Brave Bird, Knock Off, Thief, Fling, Play Rough, Surf, Astonish, Switcheroo, Nasty Plot, Feather Dance, Roost, Defog, Taunt, Torment, Encore, Heal Bell, Work Up, Block, Spikes, Teeter Dance, Stockpile, Spit Up, Swallow, Bestow, After You, Copycat, Mirror Move, Spite, (all universal TM moves from Gen 7 and Gen 8)
Oh dear, it looks like the Goose has wandered into Smash Mods. While it's not the most powerful mon in terms of stats, it happens to have access to Prankster and a variety of ways to abuse it, such as Roost, Taunt, Defog, Switcheroo, Heal Bell, Spikes, Feather Dance, Substitute, Toxic (Untitled Goose Game was released prior to Sword and Shield, and thus its universal move list matches that of the Gen 7 list and up), and Copycat for potential offensive priority options. It can also hit people with Fake Out to stall a turn, remove their item with Knock Off, or perhaps set up on the special side with Nasty Plot. This is where another set opens up thanks to its signature move, Goose Honk. While it starts out weak, it gets stronger each time it's used, with the high flinch chance making it more likely to happen. At +2 and with the Metronome item, it can potentially wreak havoc upon the metagame, but it's still not terribly bulky, meaning it will take some doing to get to +2 safely in the first place. But if you get going, you can chain it into Copycat against foes without priority to slap the meta with a barrage of honking, and maybe edge your way past checks with flinching. Will you annoy your foes to no end? The Goose will certainly try.

Pokemon: Leif
Mod of Origin: Crossover Chaos
Type: Bug/Ice
Abilities: Ice Scales/Oblivious/Aftermath
Stats: 78/60/85/117/95/95 (Total: 530)
Custom Moves:
Ice Coffin
- Type: Ice
- Classification: Special
- Power: 100
- Accuracy: 90
- PP: 10 (max 16)
- Effect: No additional effect.

Turn Relay
- Type: Normal
- Classification: Status
- Accuracy: --
- PP: 40 (max 64)
- Effect: +1 priority. Can target the user and their allies. If targeting the user, switches out. If targeting an ally, acts as Instruct.
Other Moves: Bug Buzz, Silver Wind, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Icicle Crash, Icicle Spear, Ice Shard, Ice Punch, Freeze Dry, Shadow Ball, Hidden Power, Quiver Dance, Acupressure, Memento, Work Up, Barrier, Amnesia, Curse, Ice Ball, Haze, Mist, Safeguard, Light Screen, Reflect, Stockpile, Swallow, Spit Up, Confide, Baton Pass, Ally Switch, (Gen 8 universal moves)
Leif acts as a dedicated Quiver Dance sweeper, with access to a few notable options that help him, such as Hidden Power for coverage. His access to Ice Scales to reduce the damage taken from special attacks is good to help him set up his QDs against various Special mons in the metagame, including Beheeyem (Psyshock is also reduced in damage from Ice Scales, as it is a Special move). When he's ready to go on the offensive, Leif can use the strong, reliable Ice STAB of Ice Coffin or go with Freeze Dry to hurt Water types. He can also pack Bug Buzz, Shadow Ball, and Hidden Power Ground or Fire to help him edge his way through other mons in the meta. If you want, you can also run Screens with Turn Relay, possibly with Oblivious to protect against Taunt mons (though Ice Scales is likely still better). Bottom line, Leif will be able to pull his weight.

Activity’s low again, so it’s time for a sub review. I’m going alphabetically this time so that it’s easier for me to navigate as people edit in new subs. Still not reviewing my own because bias.

:bastiodon: Bastiodon (Megas for All)
I love the idea behind this mon, it seems hella fun to use. That said, ignoring forms we already have 3 m4a mons, tied for the most of any mod, and factoring in forms we have 6, twice as many as any other mod. If it were earlier on this could have been an incredible pick, but with only 3 slates left including this one and so many mods sitting at 1 or even 0 reps, I just can’t justify voting for it at this point. If this doesn’t get in, sub it slate 1 in Brawl whenever that comes around and I’d love to support it.

:cacturne: Cacturne (Megas for All)
This one’s mostly outclassed by Beheeyem, outside of beating Beheeyem itself in some cases and not getting trapped by Tomb. Same thing as I said about m4a subs when talking about Bastiodon applies here too.

:haxorus: Dinodily (Roulettemons Ubers)
Roulettemons Ubers isn’t on the list of mods you can submit from, but this thing’s in Factory so it’s probably legal. I still have concerns over the obscene speed tier, amazing typing, stupidly good coverage and utility, and its ability to invalidate weather teams with Delta Stream, but the sub’s reasoning is very well put together and makes a good case for why it should be in. Well done.

:dragapult: Dragapult (Sylvemons)
This one seems pretty borderline ngl. It’s also a similar case to the m4a subs where it would be the fourth mon from its home mod ignoring forms, so I just can’t vote for it on principle.

:centiskorch-gmax: Draxplosion (Break This Team)
Great pick for a splashable offensive Fire, and from an unrepped mod at that. Easy vote for me.

:golurk: Golurk (ViAbilities)
Oh hey, the funny item remover is back. I never really got into playing Via because Run Away spam ruined it for me, but I remember this being one of the most fun Pokemon in the mod. Does it compete with Mamo and Lemotic? Yup. Do I care? Nope.

:swanna: Goose (Crossover Chaos)
This thing’s signature move and ability are both super weird, I have no idea what to make of them or how they’d function in play. That said, even if they both prove to be useless, Prankster sets would still give this a unique niche.

:vivillon-tundra: Leif (Crossover Chaos)
Special Bug hype. This is a really cool QD sweeper, basically Frosmoth if it were an actually good mon. Last time this was subbed it was the last mon I cut when deciding what to vote for and it lost by one vote, so I’m not making that mistake again. This thing deserves in.

:pangoro: Pangoro (Perfect Galar)
This one‘s got a bit more competition than last slate now that Spiritomb and Zarude are in, but it still stands out as a breaker.

:archeops: Rampaops (Fossil Mashups)
I don’t know if this thing’s utility and STAB Brave Bird are enough to warrant using it over Lycanroc or Red Riot with its middling speed tier. It’s either really cool or really bad, and I honestly can’t tell which.

:sunkern: Sanddern (DLCmons)
Decent bulk, an amazing typing, good attack, plenty of utility, recovery... it’s hard to go wrong with this one.

:torkoal: Torkoal (ViAbilities)
This thing’s speed is just low to abuse White Smoke Shell Smash without recovery, so its main niche will just be as a Drought mon to run over Ahi. If you’re looking for a Shell Smash abuser in Via, maybe check out Turtonator or Barbaracle?

:orbeetle-gmax: Ufony (Break This Team)
Unlike Pangoro, this is a defensive Dark, so the additions of Tomb and Zarude don’t compete with it too much, and I can just copy/paste what I said last time: Funny UFO mon. We have a Steel Spinner, a Steel with Recovery, a Dark Spinner with Pivoting, and a Spinner with Recovery and pivoting, but having all of those rolled into one mon seems pretty nice for role compression, even if it does step on a lot of toes.

:vikavolt: Vikavolt (ViAbilities)
Special Bug hype. Battery is nutty, and it still has Levitate if it really wants it. Strong pick, not much else to say.

:yanmega: Yanmega (Optimons)
Special Bug hype. That ability selection kind of scares me, but this thing has plenty holding it back, should be fine.

and Aquatic’s forcing me to do items too so

:zarude: Heart of Oak (Item Factory)
Bias warning, I made this one, but IF’s not playable yet and this idea hasn’t really been explored in other mods I’ve been involved in, so I have no idea how well an item like this would work in-battle. Sylve Synthesis does significantly reduce the downside, for better or worse. Anyways, if you want to give Sylve Zarude another niche as an extremely unique BO mon, this is the item for you.

:clamperl: Shell Bell (Sylvemons?)
Shell Bell’s just a really hard item to balance, it generally either ends up too good on BO mons or outclassed by Lefties. I’m sure there’s an optimal percentage to make it work, but I don’t know if 25% is the magic number here, it’s hard to say with such a common yet situational mechanic.
