Pokémon: Moltres
Mod of Origin: Sylvemons
Stats: 90 / 100 / 90 / 125 / 85 / 90
Type:

Abilities: Pressure / Drought / Flame Body
Air Current |
| Status | BP: -- | Acc: -- | PP: 16 | Summons the new weather Air Current for 5 turns. In this weather, Flying-Types take 0.75* damage from Electric, Rock, and Ice-Type moves (kinda like Solid Rock), and the move Hurricane has perfect accuracy. Weather Ball doubles in power and becomes Flying-Type.

Jetstream |
| Special | BP: 40 | Acc: 100 | PP: 48 | Has +1 priority.

Storm Strike |
| Physical | BP: 50 | Acc: 100 | PP: 16 | Does double damage in weathers and becomes the same type of the weather

Mirror Move |
| Status| BP: --| Acc: -- | PP: 24 | Copies last move used by the opponent and uses it immediately; the move replaces Mirror Move in user's moveset until it switches out
Description: While Moltres would be a good physical wall (if everything didn't have random Rock coverage), its main niche in Smash would be a sun setter to be used along side Thundahi. Both their typings work pretty well together, and having two sun setters would make sun a much more viable archetype. Also pairs well with spinners like Water Vehm and Mega Garbo.

gonna go find another fire type brb

Pokémon: Gladiaster
Mod of Origin: Roulettemons
Stats: 118 / 110 / 79 / 119 / 69 / 105
Type:

Abilities: Rock Head, Drought, Unaware
Viable Moves:
- Cross Chop, Ice Punch, Icicle Crash, Iron Head, V-Create, Volt Tackle
- Dazzling Gleam, Eruption, Final Gambit, Flash Cannon, Ice Beam
- try one, I dare you
Absorb, Ally Switch, Aurora Beam, Block, Bubble, Bullet Punch, Burn Up, Charm, Crabhammer, Double Edge, Dynamic Punch, Flame Burst, Gastro Acid, Gunk Shot, Hammer Arm, Head Charge, Ice Ball, Ice Burn, Inferno, Lunge, Magnitude, Pluck, Pursuit, Rock Blast, Silver Wind, Slam, Spider Web, Steamroller, Teeter Dance
Welp, as has been brought up by a few people now, sun isn’t in a good place in the meta and would REALLY benefit from a secondary setter. After this mon didn’t go over too well last slate, I tried to find a different setter and found a few good options like CFM Moltres, Sylve Moltres (I started writing this before zxg posted, I swear it isn’t directed at them) and FEV3 Torko Bulu, but they would all just outcompete and invalidate Thundahi. Gladiaster is the only viable Drought user I can find that would consistently be the secondary setter alongside Thundahi on sun rather than replacing it entirely, so I’m resubmitting it. The explanation for Gladiaster’s usefulness is spoilered below, but it’s copy/pasted from the last slate, so if you’ve already read that, there’s nothing new here.
Fuck em walls. This thing is a great breaker that abuses Drought and one of its dummy strong Fire-type moves alongside a choice item to punch holes in teams. It can go physical or special, though physical is generally preferred so it can hit Water-types that otherwise wall it with Volt Tackle. A scarf set also allows it to function as a potent revenge killer. If for some reason you don’t want a fire move, Rock Head lets you break through SpDef Pyukurchin with banded Volt Tackle (thanks to its own terrain) and Unaware can be a good anti-booster tech. This thing is usually going to be walled by Physically Defensive Raj-Forge and Pyukurchin, though it can sacrifice a moveslot to beat each of them if it really wants to, with Cross Chop for Raj or Final Gambit (as long as it’s fairly healthy, it doesn’t need any HP investment) for Pyuk. This thing is held back by its typing both offensively and defensively, especially with Drought making it die to any fire move.

Also, there‘s the obvious question of whether this would outcompete Thundahi’s role on sun teams.
Short Answer: No, it would actually make Thundahi more viable.
Thundahi isn’t looking to be a good mon in this meta. Between its subpar stats and severely limited movepool, it will only really see use as a sun setter, so its viability is directly chained to how viable sun teams are. Sadly, it’s not even that great as a sun setter. I think it’s best compared to Politoed. They have extremely similar levels of both physical and special bulk, a crippling status move (Thunder Wave/Hypnosis), and a non-volatile status disruption tool (Taunt/Encore). Thundahi has Volt Switch, sure, but Politoed has a better defensive typing, Scald, Toxic, and Perish Trapping, not to mention that Scald in Rain - not Hydro Pump, not Surf, SCALD - hits exactly as hard or harder than literally anything in Thundahi’s movepool does in Sun, and all of its moves that hit equally hard either drop its special attack or literally kill it. Now, for those of you who were around in Gen 6, you’ll remember that Rain was unviable in OU, despite having the literal best rain abuser of all time (Mega Swampert) introduced, and that was largely due to how bad Politoed was as a setter. Thundahi is in the same boat. Unless our sun abusers are borderline banworthy, it’s not going to cut it alone. With all of that said, Gladiaster is ever worse as a sun setter for sun teams. It has worse bulk, zero utility, and an abysmal defensive typing. It also really doesn’t want to give up a stat or damage-boosting item for Heat Rock, since that really hurts the mon’s performance. So, where am I going with all of this? Gladiaster and Thundahi actually have some decent synergy. Thundahi can come in on the waters and fatmons that want to come in on Gladiaster and annoy them with Taunt and Twave, while Gladiaster deals with the Fairy, Ice, Dragon, and (if you catch them on the switch) Ground mons that come in to OHKO Thundahi. Gladiaster also appreciates the speed control from TWave and easy switch-ins from Volt Switch. This doesn’t make Thundahi a good mon by any means, but having a backup sun setter also allows you to use an item that’s not Heat Rock, and allows you to take advantage of Sparksplosion without losing your team’s wincon. As mentioned earlier Thundahi’s viability is directly chained to the viability of sun teams as a whole, and if there’s any way to make sun teams viable in this meta, double sun is the way to do it.

:swsh/Entei:
Pokémon: Entei
Mod of Origin: CFM (asterisks indicate CFM-modified mechanics)
Stats: 120 / 120 / 90 / 95 / 75 / 100
Type:

Abilities: Flash Fire*, Sheer Force
Viable Moves:
- Bulldoze*, Crunch*, Extreme Speed, Flare Blitz, Inferno*, Iron Head*, Rock Slide*, Sacred Fire*, Thunder Fang*
- Fire Spin*
- Agility
New Moves: Energy Ball, Hone Claws, Inferno*, Rock Slide*, Thunder Fang*
Returning Dexited Moves: Flash, Frustration, Hidden Power*, Natural Gift*, Return, Secret Power
Removed Moves: Detect, Giga Impact*, Hyper Beam*, Incinerate*, Protect, Toxic, Weather Ball

In addition to this, Flare Blitz and Extreme Speed are no longer event-exclusive moves.
Ability Modifications:
Flash Fire - When this Pokemon is hit by a Fire-type move, it’s higher offensive stat is raised by one stage; Fire immunity.

Move Modifications:
Bulldoze - 80 base power, 90% accuracy, 50% chance to lower the target(s)’s speed.
Crunch - 30% chance to lower the target‘s defense.
Fire Blast - 120 base power.
Fire Fang - 70 base power, 100% accuracy.
Fire Spin - Special Fire-type Pursuit clone.
Headbutt - Changes type to match the user’s primary type.
Inferno - Physical, 120 base power, 80% accuracy, 20% chance to burn the target.
Iron Head - 90 base power, 20% chance to flinch the target.
Iron Tail - 85 base power, 100% accuracy, 20% chance to lower the target’s defense.
Natural Gift - No longer consumes your berry when used.
Overheat - 140 base power, 10% chance to burn the target.
Rest - Normal-type.
Rock Slide - 80 base power, 100% accuracy, 20% chance to flinch the target(s).
Rock Smash - 60 base power.
Sacred Fire - 16pp, power is not reduced by rain.
Shadow Ball - 90 base power.
Sleep Talk - Cannot call Rest.
Solar Beam - No charge turn. Base power halved in any weather except for sun.
Stone Edge - 85% accuracy, 16pp, always hits in sandstorm.
Thunder Fang - 70 base power, 100% accuracy.

Currently-Irrelevant Move Modifications:
Hidden Power - When used by Unown, base power becomes 100. (Irrelevant as Unown-M has no way of copying or calling this move)
Rest - When used by a Pokemon with Comatose, functions identically to Recover. (Irrelevant as we don’t have a Comatose mon)
Sacred Fire - In Primordial Sea, this move still deals full damage but cannot hit super-effectively. (Irrelevant as we don’t have a Primordial Sea mon)
You want a Fire-type breaker for sun? Here you go, Darmanitan 2.0! Entei’s always struggled due to it’s severe lack of coverage, but CFM more than remedies that by giving Entei some new tools and buffing many of its old options. Sheer Force is HUGE for this mon, letting your choice of physical Fire-STAB shatter walls and buffing up just about every coverage move you could want to use; Rock Slide and Bulldoze are a harder-hitting EdgeQuake, Iron Head bodies Thick Fat Miltank, and Thunder Fang can beat down on any bulky Waters introduced down the line. PhysDef Water Vellumental is a fairly safe switch into this thing, but unless it’s RestTalk it can be worn down quickly. Entei also brings some welcome utility in Extreme Speed and, more importantly, CFM Fire Spin. Even with uninvested base 95 Special Attack, with Life Orb, this Pursuit-clone can be a real nuisance to the many Fire-weak mons in the tier, most notably Escavalier, Unown-M, and Joltry. Its speed, while good, isn’t as high as it could be, leaving it a tough choice between speed with Scarf or power with Band or Life Orb.

Pokémon: Tyragor
Mod of Origin: Fusion Evolution Alpha
Stats: 90 / 102 / 75 / 102 / 95 / 123
Type:

Abilities: Sand Filling - On switch-in, this Pokémon summons Sandstorm. This Pokémon has its status cured at the end of each turn if Sandstorm is active.
Viable Moves:
- Earthquake, Drain Punch, Ice Punch, Iron Head, Knock Off, Leech Life, Stone Edge, U-Turn
- Bug Buzz, Earth Power, Energy Ball, Final Gambit, Flamethrower, Focus Blast, Giga Drain, Ice Beam, Sludge Bomb, Thunderbolt
- Dragon Dance, Encore, Recover, Spikes, Stealth Rock, Taunt, Toxic Spikes, Yawn
Full movepool is just Tyranitar’s movepool + Accelgor’s Movepool

Since we’re trying to make sun viable, I think it needs some competition, so here’s a start for sand. Tyragor is a crazy mon capable of filling just about any niche you could want it to. It’s a sand-setting status absorber with stupid amounts of both coverage and utility. Want a suicide lead? You have access to 3 hazards, Taunt, and Final Gambit. Want a setup sweeper? Dragon Dance up and win the game. Want a pivot? Take advantage of Knock Off, Recover, and STAB U-Turn. Tyragor also gets a lot out of its SpDef boost in sandstorm, making it one of the rare mons that actually benefits defensively from its Rock typing. This thing is held back by some of the most severe 4MSS I’ve ever seen and the weakness to Stealth Rock generally forcing it to run Boots, but its speed, versatility and unpredictability make it a force to be reckoned with, and make it stand out from the other bugs in the tier.

Pokémon: Incineroar
Mod of Origin: Z-Revival
New Move: Moonsault Press - Dark, Physical, 90 BP, 100% Acc, 10 PP | Applies Heal Block to the target. Makes contact.
Overview: Moonsault Press has potential to screw with the tanky side of the meta by thwarting attempts to Roost, Recover, or Milk Drink. However, this move is the only difference from standard Incineroar, which ironically has no recovery of its own (besides Rest, of course).

Pokémon: Crowceror
Mod of Origin: Regional Evolutions
Stats: 70/75/57/130/57/116 (505 BST)
Type:

Abilities: Cursed Body, Electrician (Electric Steelworker), Prankster
Movepool: Honchkrow's (minus Assurance, Foul Play, Sucker Punch, Snarl, and Payback) + Mystical Fire, Ice Beam, Aurora Beam, Blizzard, Fire Blast, Thunderbolt, Freeze-Dry, Thunder, Hurricane, Teleport
Overview: Speedy special attacker with a knack for sun. Can run Nasty Plot with Electrician for a fearsome Fire+Ice+Electric STAB trio, or act as a stallbreaker with Prankster Taunt. Either way, it's frail and reliant on Heavy Duty Boots (and a momentum sink unless it wants to risk the negative priority of Teleport).

Pokémon: Klefki-Kanto
Mod of Origin: Regional Variants
Stats: 75/100/96/60/82/57 (470 BST)
Type:

Abilities: Prankster, Cursed Body
Additional moves: Shadow Bone, Bone Club, Bonemerang, Bone Rush, Shadow Ball, Will-O-Wisp, Taunt, Destiny Bond, Stealth Rock, Pain Split, Bestow, Skull Bash
Removed moves: Dazzling Gleam, Draining Kiss, Crafty Shield, Fairy Lock, Fairy Wind, Flash Cannon, Iron Defense, Magnet Rise, Metal Sound, Mirror Shot, Psyshock, Lock-On (I imagine Steel Beam should also be on this list)
Overview: It stands to reason that some of us are aware of the lack of Rock-types in Smash Mods. But did you know that Ghost is also absent? Meet the epitome of utility, sporting Prankster with Taunt, Stealth Rock, Spikes, Will-O-Wisp, Thunder Wave, Defog, dual screens, Switcheroo, Torment, Pain Split, and even Destiny Bond. (If it runs anything offensive, it will probably run Shadow Bone and/or Foul Play.)

Pokémon: Dropbeye
Mod of Origin: The Pokédex Redone
Stats: 85/85/65/115/65/115 (530 BST)
Type:

Abilities: Torrent, Prankster
Movepool: Inteleon's (minus Air Slash, U-turn, Dark Pulse, Ice Shard, and Icicle Spear) + Will-O-Wisp, Flip Turn, Hex, Disable, Shadow Sneak
Overview: Similar to the above, but while not as utile, it has a pivot option and a mean Hex alongside a second type and genuine offensive presence.

09 - Blastorch.png

Pokémon: Blastora
Mod of Origin: Roulettemons
Stats: 63/126/102/99/136/79
Type: Fire
Abilities: Light Metal/Forewarn/Aerilate
All Moves: Attack Order, Autotomize, Behemoth Blade, Blaze Kick, Coil, Defend Order, Defog, Dragon Claw, False Surrender, Flamethrower, Glare, Healing Wish, Iron Head, Parting Shot, Psystrike, Shadow Punch, Spectral Thief, Sticky Web, Swords Dance, Synthesis | Attract, Captivate, Confide, Endure, Facade, Frustration, Hidden Power, Protect, Natural Gift, Rest, Return, Round, Secret Power, Sleep Talk, Substitute, Toxic | Branch Poke, Burn Up, Confuse Ray, Follow Me, Hold Hands, Iron Defense, Lock-On, Magnitude, Metal Claw, Metal Sound, Mind Reader, Mist, Mud Sport, Night Daze, Payback, Peck, Phantom Force, Pluck, Slash, Wring Out
Description: Basically does almost whatever role you'd really need a physical attacker to. It has Parting Shot to pivot, it has all of Autotomize, Swords Dance, and Coil for setup options, and it can even set Sticky Web or use Defog to remove hazards. It also has great special bulk, but unfortunately an awkward Speed tier, much worse physical bulk, and reliance on Heavy-Duty Boots. There are also things like Water Vellumental, Pyukchin, and if it lacks Behemoth Blade, Miltank that pose a threat to it so they can keep it in check. Side note: Aerilate Frustration is only barely weaker than Blaze Kick (approx. 122 vs 127), but it has no miss chance, so there's probably an argument to be made for it being a better "STAB" option.

Pokemon: Lycanroc-Dusk
Mod of Origin: Z-Revival
New Move: Stormshard Slash- Rock, Physical, 90 BP, 100% Acc, 16 Max PP, Contact. High Critical Hit Rate. Removes Terrains.
Description: Lycanroc mainly does two things. Firstly, it adds a Rock type to the metagame (Rock and Ghost are the only types without a rep). Secondly, it is able to prevent Pyukchin + Joltry offense, as well as future Terrain setters, with its signature move, Stormshard Slash. It will probably use a combination the following moves, depending on what your team needs to beat: Stormshard Slash, Accelerock, Close Combat, Crunch, Drill Run, Fire Fang, or Play Rough. It also has the ability to Swords Dance, and can set up Stealth Rock. It also notably speed creeps Mega Vanilluxe. Its biggest answer is probably Miltank, as it would have to run Iron Head in order to get SE damage on it.

Pokémon: Torgeist
Mod of Origin: Restrictions
Stats: 55 / 75 / 90 / 115 / 100 / 105
Type:

Abilities: Clear Body / Cursed Body / Merciless
Aditional moves: Shadow Ball, Hex, Hurricane, Air Slash, Weather Ball, Heat Wave, Icy Wind, U-turn, Poltergeist, Pain Split, Trick, Taunt, Nasty Plot, Calm Mind, Toxic Thread, Tailwind, Defog, Rain Dance

Overview: The metagame currently lacks Ghosts and has a bunch of Toxic spikes setters. Introducing Torgeist! It has a terrifying combo of Hex and Merciless, allowing for a very powerful STAB move that when coupled with Toxic Spieks support, always crits. Torgeist pairs well with Mega Garbodor, Trubbish or Pyukchin, as they are our main Toxic Spikes setters. It also pairs well with Pyukchin for its status-spreading possibilities, and has a very interesting relation to Thundahi, as Drought boosts Heat Wave's power and Sparksplosion leaves a crippled target and brings in Torgeist safely. Despite its terrifying power, Moltres still has a very favorable matchup, and Forgerajah shuts down Togeist's status abuser gimmick by being immune to both Burns and Poison.

Pokémon: Floraflare
Mod of Origin: Regional Evolutions
Stats: 85 / 135 / 75 / 90 / 90 / 60
Type:

Abilities: Chlorophyll / Leaf Guard / Water Absorb
Aditional moves: Sunkern's movepool + Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Burning Jealousy, Incinerate, Ember, Fire Lash, Fire Spin, Solar Blade, Fire Punch, Flare Blitz, Earthquake, Dazzling Gleam, Leaf Blade, Power Whip, Fiery Boost

Type: Fire
Category: Status
PP: 32
Target: Self
Effect: Raises Attack and Special Defense by 1 stage

Overview: Floraflare is an awesome wallbreaker capable of breaking through the Pych reliably, due to its power not relying on stat boosts, Water Absorb to eat Scalds and Super-Effective STAB. It can also easly cripple Forgerajah with Earthquake and has overall neat wallbreaking potential because of Fire Lash. Lastly, adds another viable Sun option, as max speed Chrolophyll under sun outrspeeds the whole Non-Beheeyem meta. Covering Ground and Ice types also means synergy with Thundahi, who in turn can spread paralyzis to further help with Floraflare's low speed.

Pokemon: Vi
Mod of Origin: Crossover Chaos V2
Type: Bug/Flying
Stats: 78/117/65/55/70/115
Abilities: Skill Link/Harvest/Long Reach
Signature Moves:
Hurricane Toss
- Type: Flying
- Classification: Physical
- Power: 25
- Accuracy: 100
- PP: 10 (max 16)
- Effect: Ignores the target's Defense boosts. Hits 2-5 times, does not make contact.

Turn Relay
- Type: Normal
- Classification: Status
- Accuracy: --
- PP: 40 (max 64)
- Effect: +1 priority. If used on self, switches out to an ally of your choice. If used on an ally, acts as Instruct.
Pin Missile, X-Scissor, Bug Buzz, Twineedle, Fury Attack, Spike Cannon, Bullet Seed, Seed Bomb, Fell Stinger, U-Turn, Acrobatics, Aerial Ace, Fly, Recycle, Stockpile, Refresh, Drill Run, Parting Shot, Covet, Pollen Puff, Fling, Sky Drop, Work Up
Vi is a fast mon that can clean teams with STAB moves boosted by Skill Link. With Hurricane Toss and Pin Missile, Vi can take on a decent amount of threats, and having Ground coverage in Drill Run prevents Copperajah-Forge from ruining her day. She'll likely run Choice Band, Life Orb, or Heavy Duty Boots, and the moves Pin Missile, Hurricane Toss, and some combination of the moves Drill Run, U-Turn, and maybe Bullet Seed (if defensive mons with a Grass weakness become notable in the meta) or Fell Stinger (could be useful for boosting her power if she's not running a boosting item already). She has a Speed tie with fully invested Joltry, but uninvested outside of Sun or Terrain is taken down by Pin Missile. With a Choice Band, she can OHKO fully defensive Claydol and Unown-M with Pin Missile, 2HKO fully defensive Miltank, Water Vellumental, and Mega Garbodor with Hurricane Toss, and has just above a 50% chance to OHKO fully defensive Copperajah-Forge with Drill Run after Rocks. She is, however, notably weak to hazards, and if she runs Heavy Duty Boots, she needs to forego a boosting item, so she really wants hazard support if she's going with a Band set. She is also outsped and OHKOed by Mega Raichu and Joltry in Sun or Electric Terrain. Finally, while she can deal solid damage with her powerful moves, her frailty means she cannot take down teams by herself, requiring the opposing team to be weakened before she can come in to clean.

Aww yeah baby Grimace is in smash!

Anyway I think Magmacroak will be a good addition due to its wide movepool and good offenses. It'll probably end up being overshadowed later on though, which is a shame because I do like Magmacroak. IDK maybe it'd be better in a lower power level.
