I'm going to honest with you: This does not in any way shape or form look like a Pokémon. It looks even further from the evolution line it supposedly belongs to, if that's even possible. That's not to say it looks bad, but there is the issue of you still needing to improve the quality of your actual lineart. This design is far fetched enough to cause me to refrain from pointing out possible technical errors. Apologies, but this one strikes me as mediocre.
P.S. You know you guys can critique my scratches any time you want. Contrary to the impression you may have of me, I won't blow up in your face :].
 
No no, you got the order wrong. It goes critique, then I blow up. I'm serious, though. I would like some feedback here besides compliments. 'Course, I can't complain about them too much.
 
I left for a week and all the scratching spirit go into everyone here? :P

I hope this is in the Pokemon style. I used actual Pokemon colours:
Green from Breloom, Pink was a lighter version of Cherubi and Yellow from Skiploom. The Complete Sprite is a scratch, only the colours were taken.
I dont think I can do better than this. Not now atleast!
 
I can't simply explain the Pokémon style; it's something you have to learn for yourself. Study the official Pokémon sprites' eyes and typical anatomies to get a better idea of how to make your scratches look more like Pokémon in general. I would suggest studying the eyes first, though. Your eyes are usually just simple two pixel lines.
 
I think he means the vertical lines on the flower Pokémon sprite. The only Pokémon I can think of with eyes like that is Wingull.

If you look at Dragonzrule's sprite, you'll see that it has round eyes with bright highlights. This is common to a lot of official Pokémon, including Pikachu (Pikachu's eyes are bigger, though).
 
Yes I know what you mean I made it like that because it is supposed to have very small eyes. I like slit eyed pokemon too.....
Do you like the sprite in general? like the shading or design?

Coudnt get the eye quite right though...
the dark shading on the forehead makes it look like its got anger issues hehe................

you screwed up the spoons..... fix the spoons NOW!!!!!
and, alakazam is screwed up in all these ways: the stache, spoons, armor, the ears, the eye, and a lot of other things :/
stop copy and pasting so much, custom a little, then come back to this thread
 
Excuse me faze but the spoons are bent and the purple lines are duskazams psychic powers. Similar to the way haunter's hands are attached. I cant make Duskull hold spoons, he doesnt even have fingers!! And the hands would make him look weird.
Besides HoundoomDude and GOO think differently.....
 
ahahaha, i don't care what they think (no offense guys) and metalgar, mew's hands are too small to hold spoons, I made it's tail and it's stache hold them, so I have a tip for you, get some more creativity, or stop making a dex

The belt is hard to scratch diagonally,the circle is really small.....

I think Mew is easy to work with. It has only one colourtone and the only feature is the tail which is pretty easy to edit.
