What makes Hydreigon viable and used in the metagame ? I remember it being very good in SS OU metagame before DLCs
also not sure about if this the right place to ask this question since I don't really talk here
Hydreigon is a very big beneficiary of Tersatalization as a mechanic, Levitate + its typing is very useful with Hazard spam being strong this gen, coupled with the Meta having a severe lack of Fairy types. Ghost-Spam from Gholdengo and Dragapult gives some value to its Dark STAB (defensive typing more iffy due to their secondary STAB), and with Sub/Nasty Plot it can capitalize on an extra turn Tera buys it to get some very strong neutral Wallbreaking in. Tera Steel and Poison are the listed types right now, both resisting Fairy attacks while losing Ground Weakness to Levitate, and then either breaking Tera-Fairy users like Dirge and Garg via "fake STAB" Flash Cannon, or completely blanking Iron Valiant + Great Tusk STABs to exploit choice-locked variants for set-up.

The speed tier shifts are also interesting, as the game on the whole has some very fast sweeper/cleaners but then a lot of other bulky mons that Hydreigon breaks or can capitalize on slowed down like the surprisingly crowded Base ~84-87 Speed tiers for Tusk, Gholdengo, etc.

Yes, they are now separated in two archetypes, boots regen spam and more classic stalls.

The Pp hardly matter as you rarely ran out of it in most cases

They are used a lot, which is in part due to new unawares
Great, thanks!

On a lighter note, can someone help me out with a physically defensive set for a wishpassing Scream Tail under the benefits of grassy terrain?

I love that train so much.

Hi I'm new here and I was wondering how do I make a pokemon's icon big?

Like I can make icon's by doing this :greninja: and but how can I make them bigger or smaller like hose fancier posts I see?

And also how do I add 3d sprites in here as well?

so you're using :greninja: or : greninja : (without the spaces)
full sprites it would be :sv/greninja: or : sv/greninja : (without the spaces)

is there a place I can learn about text commands like the spoiler boxes or the blurbs beneath people's posts or how to blur an image so it only reveals if it's clicked?

The BB Code list would probably be helpful for you. The blurbs beneath people's posts are signatures, and you can add/edit your own here:

I usually use this phys def set with my scream tails:

Scream Tail @ Leftovers
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Poison/steel/water
EVs: 120 HP / 176 Def / 40 SpD / 172 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Wish
- Protect
- Encore
- Dazzling Gleam

Speed evs to speed creep bax and great tusk
I use a more physically defensive tail to help take on stuff like tusk, bax and dragonite better and there are just enough defense evs to provide a proto defense boost under sun.
Hp evs provide 13% recovery from both lefties and grassy terrain respectively.
Tera can be whatever I never really tera this mon.

Hope this set does you good :)

Are the sample teams constantly updated? I want to get back into the OU but I'm not sure if the sample teams are up to date with the current meta.

I have a question about the home update. There are rumors that the update is due soon, and with that, we would finally have access to the home locked mons. My questions is about the mons we have tho, more specifically, the ones banned to Ubers. Upon home’s release, will all the mons banned from SV OU ever since the start of the tier be brought back, or are there some mons that the council find unable to fit in the OU meta, even with the Dex expansion?

There are definitely some mons that are not going to be worth entertaining a retest, primarily the offense facilitators simply because they weren't playing clever in ways that made them tricky, they just busted through answers such that new answers aren't really going to be a thing.

Main no-retest Subjects I expect are Flutter Mane, Iron Bundle, Flutter Mane, Palafin, Flutter Mane, and Shed Tail.
