For the Water/Poison HA, we could go with a new ability called Chemical Reaction which basically is If the Pokemon is hit by a Super Effective move, its defense and special defense increase by +1. It works pretty well with the stat layout and can possibly become a pretty bulky mon.

Hey guys, fakemon gogogo!
It's a Ghost / Magic type

So now a starter is faster and more powerful than Latios, interesting. Anyways I've created a movepool for the starters if anyone would like to review it.

Another suggestion by yours truly. For some reason I can never think of a name for a Pokemon. The learnset also needs to be trimmed down a bit

Name: Alchex

Sorry about the double post, here's my second revision.
Palagrim (it's a mixture of paladin and grim) appearance: a tall, bipedal tiger-like pokemon whith grey fur that wields a skarmory wing in its right hand
abilities: oblivious/technician (HA)
pokedex entry 1: it hunts down skarmory and uses their wings as swords, its skills are without rival.
pokedex entry 2: because it is extremely calm and cannot be roused, some think it's heartless.
pokedex entry 3: if not for its incredible restraint, it would be too powerful to comprehend.

I just want to take a moment to thank all of you for the huge amounts of support you're bringing in. This would've failed months ago if it wasn't for all of your support, ideas, and contributions. If I could give you internet dollars, I would. Here's a quick overview of what we've done:

NEW
Ability: 8
Move: 16
Pokemon: 28
Item: 2 (but a single item can change the meta, look at what eviolite did)

But I want to let you guys realize, that that's 28 new Pokemon. We're nearly a third of the way to our goal. Now, let's look at how many edits.

EDITS
Ability: 5
Move: 39
Pokemon: 112
Item: 0

Yes. .166 of existing Pokemon have been editted. I'll let that sit.

Everything should definitely be editted into the OP by 5/13/14. If not, email me. mlgstormofficial@gmail.com

mlgstorm wow, that's a lot of data, perhaps now would be a good time for the people who have are good with technical stuff to start on the sprites/coding, or are you waiting until we have all of the information you want? Either way, it would be good if you chose some tech wizards to help with the project.

Thanks for the reminder! I'd really appreciate if some people with some decent photo-editting knowledge and experience could start making sprites for the project. Keep in mind I said sprites, not models. So Gen 5. After we have all of the Pokemon added, and we have their movepools and abilities finished, and their sprites, then we will be finished enough to go and start coding. I'll add a lot of you into the balancing conversation immediately.

Cool Pokemon, would be an awesome sun sweeper with an effective 167 Atk and 174 Speed under sunlight, but it lacks crucial moves like Earthquake and Stone Edge

Also, as help to people creating learnsets, here's a list of moves that almost all Pokemon should have in their movepool:

I've been thinking about the magic type and its long term effects without my sister types.

For a reference, this is my type chart and for better reference, an earlier version that even predates Gen5.

TBH, with just one of those types in, it'd be interesting to see how things play out.

That said, a few thoughts on things...

Smite feels weird. I always saw it as a light (electric) type special version of Focus Punch where the user prays to some deity that might not be catchable, and if undisturbed, will deliver retribution.

A few of my versions of attacks:

Magic Missile, a special attack version clone of Water Shuriken.

Battle Regalia, splendors the user in a durable wizard robe, raising defense and SpAtk 1 level.

Wand Strike, 80 Power (Phys), 100 Acc. Has a 20% chance to burn or confuse the target.

Vanishing Act, if struck by the enemy, user takes no damage and can freely switch to a new target. This target will have the defense type that was struck at increased by 1 upon being brought in. Does nothing if enemy doesn't attack.

Card Strike The user draws a card from 8 - A, dealing more damage the higher the card's value. This, in short, is a magical version of Magnitude, meaning drawing a 10 (70 Power) is most common. Physical damage.

Null Zone - Clears your field of Hazards and ends the weather. 5 PP, no damage.

Poof - Special Magic type quick attack.

Simulacrum - Sets up a Substitute with 1/3 of the user's health instead of 1/4. 5 PP.

Non-Magic type moves:

Biproduct - Creates a rotting, putrid version of the user to take hits at 1/5 of the user's health. Until it's removed, all pokemon that aren't bug or poison types take 1/16 health per turn unless they have the Aroma Veil Ability to remove the odor. (poison type)

Thunderclap - Electric Clone of Earthquake in damage, PP, power and by being physical and hitting diggers really hard. Is blocked by Soundproof and has surprisingly diverse availability.

Pixie Sting - Physical Fairy type Quick Attack.

Gold Rush and Quicksilver - 2 Steel moves that are physical and special clones of Extremespeed respectively.

Boulderdash - Physical Rock Quick Attack

Liquid Limestone - Special Rock move with 90 Power, 100 Accuracy and 15 PP. Deals 50% more damage while it's raining.

Forest Fire - Special fire move with 75 power and 15 PP. When used by Grass types, deals 50% more damage. Has 10% burn chance. Note, Fire/Grass dual types don't get 2 STAB boosts.

Dragon Punch - Physical Fighting move with 75 power and 15 PP that does 50% more damage when used by dragon types. Dragon/Fight doesn't double the 'STAB.'

Spoon Bender - A clone of freeze dry, but Psychic type with Super Effective damage against Steel and a 10% confuse chance instead of freeze.

Shortcurcuit - Like Freeze dry, but water type with Super Effect damage against Electric. Has a 10% paralyze chance. (Surprisingly available to a number of electric types.)

That's all I have for now. Mind not my ramblings.

I'll soon post ideas from of my regions.

I meant not to give my ground/dark type earthquake, could you imagine a little snake causing a huge earthquake to obliterate its opponent?
but I will add those standard moves to my pokemon

Im on a tine restraint, heres a ubers idea

Magic/ Rock
100/130/90/130/90/110 (660)
Mold Breaker / something sorta useful (ha: something signature)

I thought of pokemon to be in a duo with palagrim
type: dragon/dark (dark form), dragon/fighting (light form)
pokedex entry (light form): if komofu keeps training with palagrim, it will one day become a master
pokedex entry (dark form): komofu once trained under palagrim, but was cast out because of the darkness in its heart
abilities: envy(dark form)/steadfast(light form)
stats: 95/95/95/95/95/125
movepool:
WIP

when palagrim is in the party with it it's in light form, but when palagrim is not on the team it's in dark form.

some details on envy:
  • if you switch in on an opponent who already has stat changes, you copy all of them (even the bad ones).
  • if an opponent's stats get boosted/lowered while you are out, you copy them.

How about something called Purify
Flavor Text: Removes the minerals from water and hits with a Rock type attack instead.
Effect: 1.3x boost to Water type attacks which become Rock type.

Guys, I'm extremely sorry about the late updates, I just really have had no time because I've been in Ohio with family, and I'm going to be in Virginia this weekend for a craft show. If someone could please put together a bit of the things I haven't updated, that would be amazing. Again, I deeply apologize about this. I will get it done as soon as I have a bit of free time.
