New Abilities:
Commander - When the Pokémon enters a battle, it goes inside the mouth of an ally Dondozo if one is on the field. The Pokémon then issues commands from there.

Pros:
- High Special Attack stat, backed up by several high-power STAB moves and access to Nasty Plot
- Can learn Rapid Spin, allowing it to remove hazards and boost its Speed

Cons:
- Frail, especially on the physical side
- Limited offensive movepool. Besides Tera Blast, the only non-STAB special attacks it gets are Icy Wind and Hyper Beam.
- Mediocre speed
- Commander is completely useless in a Singles environment.

Terastalizing Potential:

: Same-type Tera boosts Tatsugiri's already respectable power to formidable levels. It also gives you more resistances to work with, which is useful on a Pokémon that's this frail.

: Electric-type Tera Blast is Tatsugiri's strongest option against bulky Waters that can comfortably take a Draco

: Similar to Electric, but you gain a resistance to Ground, which can be important against some hazard setters

: Tera Blast hits Gholdengo super-effectively, while also still hitting Toxapex. You also gain a resistance to Rock, which may come in handy.

: Tera Blast hits most spinblockers super-effectively, allowing you to maul them after they block your spin. At least in theory, anyway. Tatsugiri might be too frail to actually pull that off.

Terablast-Psychic Tatsugiri is a possible option. Immune to Water and resists Fighting and Psychic so it can stop some Palafin, and Psychic coverage lets it hit Clodsire regardless of ability and Toxapex. Leaves you wanting against Dondozo though

Yeah but Tatsugiri CANNOT attack once the two "fuse" and you cannot send in another doubles partner so Dondozo will be on its own in doubles once it gets the boosts, which sucks because I would really love the idea of Tatsugiri launching Dragon Pulses from the safety of giga catfish's mouth or setting up Nasty Plots and Rapid Spins while totally safe from enemy attacks. You also cannot switch out once Tatsugiri gets in Dondozo's mouth. Though there have been some strategies that involve setting up Tatsugiri to faint just as it pops in big fish's mouth so you get omni +2 Dondozo and can still send out another partner.

This mon is a cool offensive spinner. I wish it had a little more bulk though.

It kind of reminds me of SpecsDra in the previous generations but even more powerful, but on the other side slower and frailer and no SS. It's not OU material, but it is really powerful and can function as a decent wallbreaker. Its great STABS make it be able to 2ko almost anything except Blissey and Azumaril. It also gets the coveted Rapin Spin which make it quite a bit better

The new item mirror herb has a secondary effect on cart. When in a picnic, if a pokemon is holding this item and has an empty move slot, another party member can teach them a move that is their egg move, ignoring breeding restrictions.

works with any and all mons that know the move, regardless of egg groups.

Anyone with the move will do. So far the most relevant issue with the set-up has been Blissey, because literally nothing in Gen 9 learns Heal Bell to Mirror Herb onto it despite her having it as an Egg Move

I have the been using this as a offensive LO spinner with HP, Dragon Pulse and Nasty Plot and it is actually pretty decent. It doesn't really last very long but once you get the speed boost it can do massive damage to the opponent's team. There are only a few pokemon that can withstand its attacks, but priority moves really knock it down fast.
