Tatsunoko vs. Capcom confirmed for North America

That is awesome, but I think it was a real mistake to not get this out before the Marvel versus Capcom 2 XBox360/PS3 port news.

The name is going to be Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Star. They're looking at adding characters and an online mode if possible. Release date is targetted for winter (so probably November).

We are seeing a lot more announcements than I'm used to seeing the month before E3. Hopefully that means they have such amazing things for June that they're just announcing the stuff that would get lost in the noise now =)

I played the Japanese version and it was insane. I thought I had decent Capcom knowledge but Ryu and Chun-Li were the only characters on the game that I recognised. The final boss was a giant ball that sprouted circular saws and rained lasers and fireballs.

And before that you had to fight some giant Lego-esque man.

It's just such a quirky, crazy game full of obscure unknown characters (in this side of the hemisphere anyway) that I'm not sure how wise it is to set a US release date.

On the bright side the game engine was very solid...felt just like a tuned up Street Fighter II.

Hopefully there'll be a PAL version in the works. Cant wait for that, I'd be definitely getting this if that ever happens.

I am Lego-Man (Black Sabbath epic riff here)
Ok.....Capcom seriously has some....obscure characters, I can see Vega or Bison getting their ass kicked.......by some kiddos toy. Lol, and what the ***** is that ball? I mean, in Final Fantasy they had CPU(which seemed like a bastard, by the way) but what moves could a ball with arms have? Was it a hard boss,Lee?

But the giant ball is a Capcom character. Here's an origin photo for you.

Note: Why this is on www.canada.com is beyond me. I'll take it.

Spoiler: Yami, the final boss of Okami, is the giant ball thing.

I've played the Japanese version with some friends, and I must say it was pretty fun. I don't know any of the Tatsunoko characters, but it was still a great game regardless. Viewtiful Joe is too good, though.

Sonuis, www.canada.com is the URL of the largest media company in Canada (CanWest Global) which owns most of our newspapers and a large tv station. It's probably from an article.
