Another team I need rated. ^^
CHANGES IN BOLD
The Team
Here’s a team I’ve been using for quite a while now. It’s been working well, and so far I can only remember one loss out of the many battles I’ve had with this team.
The team is more focused on offense, as you’ll see later when you read through my RMT. I may need advice or suggestions from you guys if you think it’s a big downside to have only one capable wall in this team. But, I don’t know. Maybe the team looks like it could do good without an added wall. You be the judge.
The Details
Starmie@Life Orb
Timid
Natural Cure
EVs: 252SpAtt, 252Speed, 6Hp
Set:
~ Rapid Spin
~ Surf
~ Ice Beam
~ Grass Knot
= I switched TrickStar to this one, the anti-lead. With this set, I can spin away rocks from those suicide SR leads and at the same time render their focus sash useless. This Starmie serves another purpose as well, and that is to hit opponents hard. Thunderbolt was replaced with Grass Knot so I can kill enemy Swamperts.
Gengar@Choice Scarf
Timid
Levitate
EVs: 252SpAtt, 252Speed, 6Hp
Set:
~ Trick
~ Shadowball
~ Thunderbolt
~ Focus Blast
= I changed Mismagius to Gengar, since he's stronger and can utilize the same set my Mismagius had. Trick is to screw up walls, especially when I sense an incoming Blissey. Shadowball and Thunderbolt are sef explanatory, as they give me STAB and coverage respectively. I changed HP Fighting to Focus Blast since you guys were able to convince me. Lol. I just hope the 70 accuracy doesn't hit me hard in crucial moments.
Gliscor@Leftovers
Jolly
Sand Veil
EVs: 206Hp, 88Att, 216Speed
Set:
~ Stealth Rock
~ Earthquake
~ Roost
~ Fire Fang
= Sets up SR, counters Tyranitar (and abuses the SS), and counters Scizor with Fire fang. Jolly nature to outspeed Lucario and KO with Earthquake. This is the same Gliscor in my previous RMT. It pretty much has the same role here. It multitasks by acting as a Physical Wall, SR Supporter, and an attacker (to some extent).
Swampert@Choice Band
Adamant
Torrent
EVs: 252Att, 252Hp, 6Speed
Set:
~ Waterfall
~ Earthquake
~ Ice Punch
~ Stone Edge
= This Swampert awed me when I first used it. Most people suspect a Stealth Rock, but instead they eat a full powered Earthquake or Waterfall, which really places a huge dent on them if not a KO. Ice Punch is there for hitting the Dragons and Stone Edge for the likes of Gyarados. I usually switch Swampert in when I expect an Electric attack.
Scizor@Choice Band
Adamant
Technician
EVs: 252Att, 248Hp, 8Speed
Set:
~ Bullet Punch
~ U-turn
~ Pursuit
~ Super Power
= You all know Choice Band Scizor. He hits hard. REALLY hard. I use Scizor to clean up the weakened opponent Pokemon either by Bullet Punch or by U-turn. Pursuit hits Psychics and Ghosts hard and can be used if I predict that my opponent will switch. Super Power is there if I need to hit something hard if it resists Steel.
Vaporeon@Leftovers
Bold
Water Absorb
EVs: 188Hp, 252Def, 68 Speed
Set:
~ Wish
~ Surf
~ HP Electric
~ Protect
= My Wish Passer and waller. I replaced Umbreon for this since Umbreon isn't too viable in OU without proper support. Anyway, Vappy helps out Gliscor by absorbing Water attacks and resisting Ice moves. And Vappy can also counter Gyrados with HP Electric. Protect is the last move here, for scouting and healing purposes.
Summary
One wall. One “support-ish” special attacker. And four sweepers. Notice I don’t actually have a Rapid Spinner. Well, Stealth Rock doesn’t seem to bother me much since none of them are actually weak against it. I also have a number of immunities: Ground, Poison, Fighting, Normal, Electric, and Psychic.
Should I still add a Rapid Spinner? Also notice that all my EV spreads are just 252 on each needed stat. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, but it still worked anyway when I battled with the team.
So give me some rates please. And again, no Rotom forms because this team is again for Wifi. ^^
