Team Fortress 2 - Join us at #lol

That link doesn't tell about the new items. They have continued the tradition of giving all of the best hats to the Pyro, with two great new options plus an amazing misc item consisting of "Pyro Angel" and "Pyro Devil" dolls that hang on either side of him. Must have.

There is also a perplexing new set for the Demoman. It makes him into a pirate with a misc item (bundle of 18th Century grenades), a pirate hat, an alternate bottle weapon (rum), and a peg leg with the same stats as Ali Baba's Wee Booties. Of course, to get the bonus from the Booties, you need to equip a shield. So then you have no weapons except the bottle. Is Demoknighting with the plain bottle something they really expect people to do? Or are you just giving up your Grenade Launcher and your good melee options to run around with the Sticky Launcher and 25 extra health? I checked, and there's no set bonus. Huh?

I'll use the bottle and bootie reskins the same as I use the other skins of them; seperately. Or I may just not search for them at all.

:D Strange Degreaser, Machina (crate 30, only a few have it at the moment) and Mad Milk were added, yay, I can annoying people even more with my degreaser, not only killing them but also ranking it up
. _. Hale's Own Mad Milk sounds wrong btw

so uh, pyro got himself the reserve shooter i hear?

that's... that's pretty neat. considering the reserve shooter minicrits if you're anywhere off the ground, from what i hear. definitely a sidegrade to the regular shotty, at worst. probably an upgrade if you're not terrible (i am bad)

Yeah your pretty much going to be changing weapons almost 1.5x as fast with the degreaser alongside it, so it's really good in tough moment. I'm trying to figure out what the best Pyro melee is, help me out here?

axtinguisher/mailbox is used fairly frequently, though if you're staying on defense homewrecker could be used for being even more of a dick to spies. since i rarely do it on any character sans spy, i rarely think of melee so i hardly care.

if you're bad at remembering melee exists, the rake that gives you more health from packs and less from medics could be helpful. sometimes i like to just run around being an idiot, or sometimes we have no medic. the rake is perfect for these scenarios !

Pyro melee choice hardly comes into play (less often than Ubersaw or Equalizer) in a serious game, unless you're considering set bonus vs no bonus. Not to say that Puff and Sting isn't worth practicing.

Also, Reserve Shooter Pyro is definitely something to be reckoned with in close range, even if you're an amazing Scout or Soldier. Airblast + 120 damage meatshot is enough to kill a light class right there or at least from fall damage.

Also, reporting in for TF2 Fridays !!

Keeping this brief because SMOGON TF2 FRIDAYS!

Reserve Shooter da bomb.
I use Postal Pummeler and Homewrecker depending on situation.
HATS HATS HATS update is alright.

Got a Sticky Jumper.

Freaking love it. Just flying all over the place and getting behind lines and doing stupid amounts of damage is fun.

Sucks that everyone kept crashing, lol... seems like they've got a patch for the patch for the patch today, with some bugfixes.

It is fun -- I'd definitely reccomend getting a trial for it if you can't find one otherwise!

actually with the degreaser + reserve shooter action going down id lay down cash that the powerjack becomes the primary pyro melee weapon

you're already one shotting 125 hp classes with a ranged puff + sting so why not pack some health regen too

Actually, the Powerjack only gives you health when you kill somebody with a melee weapon, I.E. the Powerjack, and since you will almost be never using that, I would use the Backscratcher, but if you have the attendant, its a tough choice between the two as run speed can help in a lot of situations (Grenades, Rockets, not falling behind Scouts).

can someone explain rate #30? does it need keys or not?
and all i got fromt this update is crashes, loadout bugs, still buggy hitboxes and overpowered nubpyros

Does anyone play lobbies? Be it 6v6 or Highlander? I'm trying to get into it on tf2lobby.com but so far it's pretty hard work... I mean to get good you need experience, and to get experience you need to actually PLAY.. but because I have like two previous games and my reliability is N/A, I just get kicked for being a 'troll'.

I've been trying to play medic all weekend but I've literally gotten into two matches. It does seem that EU lobbies in general are much harder to fill up and I don't trust my ping for a US server incase I drop out and then it'll be even harder to get a match -_-

Yeah, I have a couple hundred lobbies played... It's definitely good experience, but it's impossible to avoid whiny teammates.

I'd play a few, but I lag in EU lobbies, so..
