Technical Support (read OP before posting!)

It keeps telling me disconnected from server connection closed. My firewall isn't blocking anything since all other servers work for me...my username Lord Skywalker if that helps. Oh and I run windows 7, if that helps.
 
The name Lord Skywalker is not registered on Smogon University. You are not banned. There must be some other issue that is preventing you from connecting to the server.

Are you using the Windows or OS X version of Pokémon Online?
Do you have malwarebytes or another security program running?
 
Windows and it works for every server I have no idea why I am banned, I only went on smogon server about few weeks back when server finally came back online and i was 'Lord Skywalker' and Arlong;p
 
OK, I didn't bother asking about this at first because I thought it was just a random occurence, but even if it is it's starting to really irritate me. Over the past few days I've been playing on PO, sometimes at pure random I'll get disconnected from the server while in the middle of a battle. It doesn't matter what server I'm on, because I'll be in the middle of a battle (regardless of whether I'm losing or about to win) and the next thing I know PO seems to freeze, then after a few minutes or waiting (just because at first I assume my opponent's just taking forever to make a move) I'll get a message in the chat area saying I've been disconnected. I can easily reconnect to the server afterwards and it'll go on as though nothing happened (other than me losing points on the ladder). Has anyone else had this problem or know how to get around it? It's starting to become a pain trying to ladder when I get through a few battles perfectly fine then end up in one where the server disconnects me right in the middle of it.
 
Because it occurs on every server it seems this is a problem with your internet connection and not a problem with our server or the Pokémon Online program. The only advice I can give you is to make sure firewalls are disabled while playing Pokémon Online.
 
HELP! AGAIN!

Hey stellar I have the same problem as that other guy. I can't go on smogon but I can go on any other server. I have done nothing to be banned and I really want to play on smogon because PO doesn't have RU. My IP is 75.154.244.194, and when I join the server this comes up (12:49:09) Connected to Server!
Error while connected to server -- Received error n°1: The remote host closed the connection
(12:49:09) Disconnected from Server!

My name I use is Bigblu3_12 on the game and I tried disabling my firewall and stuff and that didn't work. I also run it on Windows 7, thanks!

Please Help me, I have been without RU for a week!
 
That is a different problem than the one he described. Currently there is a problem with our server; the server crashed for some users but not for others. The ones who got disconnected are unable to reconnect to the server for some reason. We have people trying to figure out what the problem is. If they figure it out, I will let you know in this thread. If you are still unable to connect after the problem has been resolved we can try to figure out another solution.

I will check to see if your IP is banned just in case that is the problem though.
ETA: Apparently I'm also one of the users who can't connect to the server, heh. I'll see if someone else can check your IP for a ban.

EDIT: The name bigblu3_12 (IP: 75.154.244.194) is banned on the server. Let me check to see if anyone remembers banning you.
EDIT2: Sarenji says he experienced the same problem and there is no mention of your banning in our record. After someone used the text reversing character in the chat he was unable to reconnect. I'll unban you on the assumption that this was a technical problem, you seem like a genuinely nice user. Have fun on the server!
 
I tried to download it and the download screen said "Your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded." Help?
 
Are you using Internet Explorer? If so, go to the security settings and lower the security level (this can be done by setting everything to default).

If not, we need more information.
 
I went into the security settings and my permissions were set at Full Control, I went back and it still wouldn't download.

I believe the system is Windows 7 Starter
 
You could try disabling your firewall or installing Firefox and downloading it using that. This thread is for Pokemon Online tech support; I've never used Internet Explorer so you are better off searching for answers on Google.

password for server?

let me clarify, i have never had to type in a password before to get onto the server and therefore don't know what it is - i've never even been asked for a password and still don't get asked on PO server.

Either you're banned or you typed in your password wrong.

This means someone has registered the name you are using. You can change your name in the Team Builder. Once you change it to something that isn't registered, you should be able to log onto the server.

Whenever new stuff comes up in the log, the chat scrolls up and I have to scroll down after each move to see what happened. This never occurred on my old computer, does anybody know what's wrong?

edit: problem seems to be solved. I didn't do anything, it just stopped...
 
That happens sometimes when you highlight the text in the chat or scroll up. You can usually fix it by clicking somewhere in the chat and holding the down arrow key.
 
Hey somehow I've tried to log on to pokemon online, smogon and other servers, but they all say Received error nA°0: Connection refused
