Ajax - PSV 1-3
Schalke 04 - Werder Bremen 1-0
Bayer Leverkusen - Bayern München 1-2
AC Milan - Fiorentina 2-0
Villareal - Valencia 3-2
Arsenal - Tottenham Hotspur 1-1

Predicting a big game at arsenal, wouldn't be surprised by 3-2 when all is said and done. Tottenham is definitely capable of finding a win at arsenal, but i think youd need Gareth Bale to go for a couple of goals for it to happen. RVP returning may be all arsenal needs to get past them and into first place (at least for a few hours).

Robin van Persie is overrated.

The difference between Arsenal and Tottenham is not that big. I see Tottenham winning there.

Ajax has to win now, supporters are complaining about Martin Jol and the chairman said "Jol will not be fired." If a football chairman says that, the trainer will be fired. But most players don't do their best. Ajax is 6 points behind the #1 spot and 4 points behind the #2. Ajax has to be in the top 2 to reach the CL. But I don't see it happen. Ajax - PSV 1-3.

Barcelona in the process of destroying Almeria, 5-0 within 37 minutes.

Messi has 21 goals in 17 games it took him till late January last year to get that many and still ended up with 47 goals.

Chelseas poor form continues.. this time a loss to birmingham
man utd beat wigan
now it is tight at the top

barca are better then madrid any day

I'm dreading next week because everything is perfectly set up for Chelsea to just explode on us and run out 4-0 winners or something like that. Chelsea is going to be desperate to send a message and remind everybody of what they can do and it just so happens that we're coming off the back of 3 poor results so we're there for the taking. I was hoping Chelsea would get it out of their systems today but apparently not...

or you could just assume their bad form as a positive thing and try to win the match instead of spreading your legs before the match

barca are better then madrid any day

we shall see.

Bolton just put 5 past us...I'm being realistic. Our goal this season was to avoid relegation so I'm not going to get delusions of grandeur about beating arguably the best team in the world. We had a few good results last month and there's been a lot of hype surrounding Andy Carrol so people were getting carried away but hopefully today's result will serve as the reality check we needed and we can give a good performance next week but I challenge you to watch the Newcastle/Bolton match on MotD tonight and then try hitting me with that same 'never-say-die' bullshit. It was the worst performance I've seen from any team this season.

Edit: and in spite of the result, Chelsea were fantastic today and if not for Ben Foster it would have been at least 3-1.

Well, arsenal are choking dogs apparently. I almost feel like they would have had a better chance if they had only scored one goal right away instead of 2, that way they would have stayed on the attack instead of sitting on their lead and letting tottenham win by racking up fouls. Both sides play the same Total Football, and the team that did the most attacking (and free kicking) won predictably.

PS: wtf was fabregas thinking on that handball no player of the year award for him imo.

Fabregas was the best player of the match and should have been MOM, but because all the football pundits and commentators want to suck Gareth Bale's balls at the minute he got it, for basically one very well taken goal and one run past a wrong footed Sagna who tripped up.

MotD did a special feature on Fabregas after the match highlights and practically worshipped him for a few minutes. It was well deserved too - he was sensational today.

Ajax - PSV 0-0

A miracle Ajax didn't lose. What a terrible match. Again, a lack of effort of all players barring Stekelenburg and Suárez (and substitute Lindgren).

Ajax was the worst for 90 minutes because of a lack of effort, and was lucky PSV didn't score because of our awesome goalie Maarten Stekelenburg. Especially the backs sucked, and De Jong and De Zeeuw.

Lindgren got an undeserved red card in the 92th minute (of 90 minutes and 3 minutes injury time) for "a horror tackle", the "victim" made a schwalbe. Lindgren didn't do anything like that and just a free kick would be too much. Ajax should've gotten a penalty when PSV player Marcelo pulled Jan Vertonghens shirt in own penalty area, when there was a corner for Ajax.

Lindgren is often in the starting lineup, he was not fully fit, but fit enough for the bench and playing for 18 minutes.

Luis Suárez hit the crossbar for the 13th and 14th time this season in the Eredivisie: a perfect free kick from 25m and a lob from own half!

For the ManUtd supporters, Gregory van der Wiel was the worst man on the field and Siem de Jong was invisible.

I hope I am wrong, but goodbye topcoach Martin Jol!

MOTM=Maarten Stekelenburg!

Ajax lineup.

RVP is ass because everytime he comes on he either sucks or does a great match and gets injured

at least chelsea losing doesn't keep them away from the title race, although i doubt they'll win it this year, rosicky and walcott came on later on the game and both sucked, especially rosicky, got the ball like 3 times, lost it all times

edit: Iaquinta and Jesus Navas' birthdays today hb hb

I have no idea what is happening with this Chelsea side. I can't believe how much those injured players are actually vital to the team. At least Liverpool won (3-0 against West Ham) =)

Well, what can I say, Bolton Wanderers ftw, no? Bolton 5-1 Newcastle pretty much says it all. Champions League here we come!

Ajax - Real Madrid 0-4

A humilliating loss. A lack of effort, except for Stekelenburg and Suárez. Stekelenburg prevented 0-10 (would be deserved) and Suárez worked hard, but is tired and he didn't play well.

Emanuelson, Anita (twice) and VD Wiel were responsible for the goals against.

The worst thing is, Mounir El Hamdaoui is injured, and Ajax misses Suárez next Sunday. And now? Overweight Mido and Sulejmani as the striker couple with De Jong behind them? A gurantee for not scoring goals.

ManUtd/Ferguson, please buy VD Wiel and De Jong, I want to get rid of them.

Player ratings.

Stekelenburg 8/MOTM
VD Wiel 1
Alderweireld 3
Vertonghen 5
Anita 1
De Jong 4
Enoh 4
Suárez 6
Emanuelson 2
El Hamdaoui 4

De Zeeuw 1
Lindgren 7
Eriksen 6

yay Real (two red cards were kinda lol but they had to do it I guess). It was fun to watch today's matches.. a lot of action happening

Braga 2 - 0 Arsenal was probably the biggest upset today

good show by Braga though, they finished the game with about 35% ball possession but Arsenal really didn't do much with it anyway, Braga was efficient in two counter attacks, basically

Braga keeps showing it's the 4th best Portuguese team! Great display and great goal from Matheus dribbling 2 of Arsenal defenders before a great shot.

I hope today Benfica wins against Hapoel so that Portugal can dream with 2 teams on the next round.
