toy, It's been mentioned several times that we are NOT assuming anything. So, NO spikes, NO SR, No Sandstream/Hail (unless using the poke's that bring that effect in play), NO Self destruct/explosion as a counter.

Do not worry on what this game NEEDS to be, focus on what this game IS.

Your best shot is draco meteor, which does 73% max before factoring in leftovers for gyarados. Gyarados eventually brings you down with ice fang.

That ain't got nothing on Tangrowth. Ice Fang doesn't do much; and it resists the 3 other attacks, including Stab Waterfall. This Tangrowth will knock off your leftovers, go for some parahax with Stun Spore[if need be], Leech Seed you to death[also helps for recovery] and continues to Power Whip you if all else has been completed.

My Gyarados had 394 hp and 328 sp. def, and the most sp. att his salamance would have would be 350. SO LIKE I SAID IN MY POST BEFORE, his salamance does 61 percent after 2 draco meteors and my gyarados's leftovers recovery.

So, ummm no 2HKO. and with each draco meteor his sp. att keeps on falling, and gyarados wins with ice fang.

I can write a paragraph on each of my counters if everyone wants me to, it doesn't make a difference too me.

my last three attacks don't mean anything, but the point is that Arcanine can switch in safely and proceed to OHKO with Flamethrower.

tell me how does this Skarm become a counter to Flygon besides Phazing which is not really a counter as it does not prove to be threat to Flygon in other words Flygon does not die from phazing.

My bad. thought of a better counter while I was in the shower. and I believe that Pokemon can be counters if they FORCE switches.

EDIT: Yes, read the very first post. A counter comes in with little harm to itself and either makes the other pokemon switch (or forces them to switch) or kills it before it is killed.
