Then what's the point in pointing it out, India lost because they weren't good enough, so why not just state that ?_?

Wicket of Raina definitely changed the game.Credit to Ajmal really, after bowling a few good length deliveries he pulled out a yorker length ball outta no where and had him plump. Was a very exciting game till Raina's wicket could've gone either way.Ind got a tough match ahead!

Here's the original quote. If Raina were really out, then all credit does go to Ajmal but since he wasn't, he doesn't deserve it fully. Moreover, I did say Harbhjan screwed us over big time too. So yes, partly its our fault for not playing to our best, but not entirely.

But Ajmal did get deserve the wicket, because it was out ?_? Also, a bowler can be congratulated for bowling a wicket taking delivery even if the batsman did manage to keep it out (which was not the case this time.) The cricketing community does not appreciate bowlers nearly enough.

Good luck vs. Australia today, though, I'd love to see you knock them over.

I think he means that Raina was given out incorrectly. It was a wrong decision.

and fuck game was washed out ._.

the tourney is almost over for India. PAK PLZ WHOOP THE AUSSIES!!! =D

Australia batted well last night, even though they only got to bat for around 30 overs.
Ponting looked good again as did Hussey (Finally finding some form!).

Tim Paine is an up and coming wicketkeeper-batsmen too. He might be some contention for Haddin when he comes back.

Watson.. how can you describe it? 2 ducks in a row, thats just realllly bad.
It's understandable on the first one, since it was a beautiful delivery, but the second one was easy runs but maybe the nerves got to him?

If he doesn't perform well against Pakistan, he might be dropped for semi-finals (Clarke can open instead?). The thing he has over other openers is that he can bowl as well, so he can make up for his bad batting with a few vital breakthroughs with the ball..

Raina was out IMO.The ball definitely hit his boot before it went on to his bat. However, obviously not everyone would agree... commentary :
Saeed Ajmal to Raina, OUT, really quick delivery, almost a yorker gets Raina who is not too pleased. He reckons there is some inside edge. Pad or bat first. First quick replay is not too conclusive. He was trying to dig it out and it hit both bat and pad. What did it hit first? Will confirm after replays. Huge wicket. Raina was playing very well. This fascinating game continues to see-saw.

Replays in. Tough to call here. there was boot, bat and ball all close together! and then the bat and pad jammed almost simultaneously. Very close call .. Bob Willis reckons there was no boot and it hit the bat marginally ahead of pad. Not every one is sure. Very tough call.

Either way though, I really don't think it mattered.India was down to their last two batsmen with almost a 100 runs to go, highly doubt they would have pulled through.

I honestly don't care if it was out or not. It happens in cricket. And as you said it was really close to call if it was out or not. So Im not using that as an excuse for the loss. But I disagree with you on the last part. Had Raina been there 100 runs in 15 overs chould have easily been achived.

Btw isn't clarke Injured? Im pretty sure he won't be opening. Infact I don't think he will be in the Aus XI when they face Pakistan. If Pak get to bat first I think they will win the match.

I know he is injured or something, but it wasn't anything serious.
So he could be playing in the Semi Finals, if Australia make it :)

A question I have been meaning to ask.
Do you think it's fair for an injured player to play their whole innings with a runner? Then they don't Field for the other innings?

This is referring to Jesse Rider, as he smashed 70 odd the other night and I felt it was a bit unfair that he didn't have to run for any of them..

I dont think so no. If you injure yourself during the game you get a runner.. I dont see why you'd take exception to that.

Have a nice day.

It depends. Was Jesse Ryder already unjured before the match began? If yes then I don't think he should have been given a runner. If he got injured early during the match then yes.

No he hurt himself taking a run early in his innings.

Kulasekara to Ryder, 1 run, full in length, moving towards off and middle, deflected wide of midwicket for a single
Ryder seems to have pulled some muscle .. he is limping a bit .. and he is down on the ground now. The physio is in .. Ryder seems to be in some pain ... hamstring? Groin? He is not taking any treatment on the field from the lady physio! I wonder why! I wonder how! I wonder .. fuggedaboudit! Ryder has called out for a runner. And it will be Tuffey who will run for Jesse

Also NZ in a semifinal against pakistan. I wonder what possible outcome this could lead to..

Have a nice day.

yeah NZ vs Pak curse is probably gonna continue for NZ.You never know though, NZ's team is very underrated, definitely don't count them out. They are a good unit, that's why they made the semis.

Bowling-wise I think NZ have the edge over Australia, the only concern for me is the bowling of Franklin/Elliott. Franklin is slow enough that players can get after him. But he is tall, so it can reduce your easy scoring options. IE he is good if you arent attacking him..

Really the keys for Australia are Ponting and Hussey, whereas for NZ it's Vettori and Bond.

Also the better a batting wicket it is the better it is for NZ.

Have a nice day.

Oh damn, I sense a nailbiter, slight advantage to NZ. They usually do well against Aust, especially with Vettori clamping down the run rate in the middle overs. Still, the Aust batters have done fairly well this tournament, one or two big scores from Watson/Ponting/Hussey and it could be anyone's game.

I'm suprised that everyone is tipping NZ, especially after Australia's 9 wicket win against England. I think Australia will win, but I would not mind if NZ won as they don't win tournaments to often.

Also i wouldn't say that NZ is better at bowling than us. I would say we are at least even.

Everyone loves underdogs. And Australia have had plenty of cricket glory, its time their island neighbours got some too!

Yeah, obvious win is obvious! ^^;

Nice work rate by Watto (Even though I kinda don't like him as a player)
Cant believe our team got back to back... honestly didn't rate them much of a chance.

Watson is a good player, but he's not a good opener..

He got back to back hundreds, but he got them by managing to not getting out to the new ball and then starting to score in the middle period..

Have a nice day.

The champions league starts today... I have tickets for the opening game! (Cape Cobras vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore)
