Australia 3-1 England

England will only win a match if everything clicks. On paper, our only advantage is spin. Australia should dominate. Look out for Philip Hughes and Mitchell Johnson.

This reminds me of that game where sidebottom smashed into elliott and collingwood didnt call him back with england failing to do anything remotely resembling fielding in the last over..

I think Sri Lanka have a strong chance of winning this, horrific batting collapse against South Africa excepted x(

Jayasuriya really needs to find some form, but if he and Dilshan and the middle order batsmen fire, we can beat any team in the competition easily. We have one of the best bowling attacks too.

But yeah, with the IPL, the Indian team looks formidable. I wouldn't mind if India or Pakistan won this.
 
England lacked a bowling option. No way should Rashid have bowled out, and neither Collingwood nor Wright are reliable enough. It was an ok decision to give the leggy a game, but England should have had another all rounder to turn to if he was expensive, which was pretty likely (wet ball? short boundaries?). Mascarenhas was the obvious option and should have played ahead of an out of sorts Key.

Wow... Gayle (and Fletcher) just demolished Australia.

If Australia slips up against us on Monday, it's going to be tight. But yesterday's loss didn't help their net run rate at all.

Anyone thinks England could be knocked out today?
 
Of course England would lose to Netherlands but still manage to beat Pakistan by almost 50 runs...
 
Pakistan would have to win big against Neatherlands to have a chance of making it to the next round. I can't believe Shahid Afridi has lost his hitting ability,lol
 
Pakistan were awful when England were bowling averagely and average when the bowling was good. There was nothing special about that match except the result.
