im sorry but whats your disinclination towards the patriots. i realize im being a homer, but you're literally giving them no credit when its likely they'll be improving rather than regressing, as the season goes on. also i wont speak on philly 12-4, baltimore 3-13 and nyj 11-5 but lol..

man I wanted to read the rest of that post but I couldn't get past the first two sentences

did you watch the end of the game? did you see how wide open every single receiver was on the final drive? Atlanta's linebackers (of whom two were/are undrafted rookies) got absolutely no depth, and the corners played way off - there weren't defenders within 5 yards of any receiver, and a high school quarterback can make those throws.

add to that the two Jets drives that started in Falcons territory (fumble/blocked punt) that gave up 14 free points, the Falcons had no chance that game. they actually had the lead in basically every offensive category except rushing yardage and still got outscored. the two biggest factors in that game were the jets defense and the falcons' lack of defense.

Believe me, the rest of that post just gets worse and worse. You probably did yourself a favour.

2. idk if im even allowed to make an alt, but if not then i guess this is my last post ;/

3. falcons. fucking injuries / shitty lines have killed any shot at a winning season (if we make the playoffs it would only cement us as the fucking atlanta hawks of the nfl, good enough to make the playoffs but not enough talent to win anything), feel bad for tony g but oh well. idk how matt ryan is still alive, offensive line is the first ever human revolving door (which is an amazing invention but isn't really good for protecting a qb). also defense blows. thomas decouldnt has forgotten how to tackle and his best skill, intercepting passes, has fallen off as well. season prediction = 6-10 at best. preferably lower so we can have a shot at clowney/barr/matthews.

746 likes, 475 members in our group,50 of them pretty active. It's not much but, by my math, it's way more than the quantity that would make me 50%

He still needed like 250 yards coming into the final game, which you know is no guarantee with him in the first place. He was also playing against a good defense hungry for a playoff berth, so even if he had played the whole game he was definitely not "almost certain" to make it. I'd say, honestly, the chances were 50/50.

But no matter, point is I don't want you to have to sell your kidney :)

YTP2 - I really can't say I have much sympathy for your team's O-line woes--I'm a Steelers fan.
 
when you actually look at this game, you realize the giants squandered a 100 yard 2 td performance from BRANDON JACOBS (who i didnt even know was in the league this year) i have no words for how bad you have to be to have that happen and still lose

This makes no sense at all. Almost every week theres a RB who rushes for 100+ yds and still lose the game. This isn't some kind of hidden cheat code bad, it's fucking normal and happens all the time. Youre acting as if his line was something like 230 yds, 3TDs and 78 rec yds. Also to the offense it makes no difference who gets those yds. Jacobs putting those stats doesnt somehow have a bigger impact than say doug martin.

If anything the only bad sign we take from this is that the Bears let BRANDON FUCKING JACOBS(who i didn't even know was in the league) rush for 106 yds and 2 TDs. It takes a special kind of bad to let that happen.

what deschain said, you completely missed the point. the fact is that brandon jacobs is absolutely awful and to get a 100 yard performance out of him in this point of his career and still lose the game is absolutely ridiculous. unless he surprises us and has made a turn around, he will likely never have a game this good again and for the giants to still lose is embarrassing
 
fwiw I saw some improvement in the Giants' play, especially at the offensive line. They made Jacobs look like a swift gazelle once again and elINT was the sole reason they lost
 
really sad story, just read about it now RIP

got cut off, also a very strange story hopefully we learn more, is it true this is a son no one knew about? peterson also went back to practice while the boy was on life support apparently? not really sure how to even address this story
