did you watch the end of the game? did you see how wide open every single receiver was on the final drive? Atlanta's linebackers (of whom two were/are undrafted rookies) got absolutely no depth, and the corners played way off - there weren't defenders within 5 yards of any receiver, and a high school quarterback can make those throws.
add to that the two Jets drives that started in Falcons territory (fumble/blocked punt) that gave up 14 free points, the Falcons had no chance that game. they actually had the lead in basically every offensive category except rushing yardage and still got outscored. the two biggest factors in that game were the jets defense and the falcons' lack of defense.
