I agree that they deserved it more, up until the last game at least. After today's games, however, I believe Pittsburgh is the better team. Further, saying we have been bad for "so much of the season" is a bit exaggerated, as they were really only bad for the first four games. Since the bye they have played well, much more like a playoff caliber team. In the end though, the early hole they dug was just too deep. As salty as I am at present, I can't blame anyone but my own team for not making it in. This is the price you pay for giving up control of your own fate.

I still have respect for rivers and the season he's had though, I hope he continues to do well :)

Technically the playoffs are for the teams with the best shot at winning the superbowl to duke it out.
From what I've seen lately, the Steelers were the most deserving team in the playoff bubble. I'm a Ravens fan, but Flacco and Rice suck so hard and are supposed to carry the team, Dolphins suck, Chargers all but lost to back ups.
Plus Roethlisberger's toughness has always been I guess sort of a guilty pleasure of mine as a football fan. Flacco freaking bends over when he gets a boo boo, but Ben can have 10 injuries, be the only talent on the offense and flip defenders over his back.

Please someone take the keys to the Ravens franchise away from Flacco and Rice. All the team needed was a quarterback that didn't throw gimme picks for free and an RB that doesn't go backwards, so that the defense+Tucker could do it all. That's not much to ask. And I hate Rice+Flacco's "idgaf I still futbal legnd bro stfu lemme alone, nbd I cost u jus 1 gaem I am beest" attitude.

Our defense is a sb quality d, but words cannot describe how fucking mediocre our offense is. I hope we draft nothing but lineman and wideouts and a quarterback

Wide outs don't help if your quarterback isn't even under pressure and throws it 10 yards behind them while they are wide open to the defender instead at medium range. But yea every spot on the line other than RG needs work

It wasn't showing up but now they are haha.

Yea true, I don't understand why Flacco has regressed as badly as he has. He was on the upward swing even during the regular season last year and he had a dominant postseason, and was always a low INT QB.....now he has taken 5 steps back

Anyways Browns fire their coach, a touch surprising to me. Considering he didn't ask to be stuck with prior management's horrid roster and the cycling of QBs back to Weeden at times, I thought they at least looked lively when they were briefly at the top of the division. But considering the front office are all former Patriots management and the whole buddy-buddy thing, they probably will hire O'Brien or McDaniels.
 
honestly none of the four teams vying for the 6 seed in the AFC "deserved" to make it. the Chargers have one of the worst defenses in the league, the Ravens have one of the worst offenses in the league, and the Steelers and Dolphins are mediocre on both sides of the ball. hell, of the four, the Ravens then the Steelers "deserved" it the least based on their records against playoff teams (MIA: 4-2; BAL: 1-4; SD: 5-2; PIT: 2-2), and the Dolphins got shut out by the fucking Bills. it won't really matter much, though, because the Chargers can't stop anyone and won't make it past the first round because of it.

the Ravens have relied on an above-average run game for as long as Flacco's been there, always in the top 10 or at least close to it. Ray Rice has regressed, due to injury/age/blocking/other, and Flacco's suffered for it. you can survive an awful run game if you have weapons on the outside (ie 2012 Matt Ryan) but when you're rushing for 3.1 yards/carry and your list of weapons consist of "Torrey Smith" and "???" it's not surprising at all that Flacco was so bad this year.
 
Orton played so well too. :( And honestly, if he hit that throw it was probably a TD because there was absolutely nobody behind Austin.

whatever san diego has already won the super bowl anyway, good try Romo-less Cowboys

Anyone as pumped for the draft as me? Terry Bridgewater needs to go to the Vikings. Someone make this happen. Cordarrelle Patterson is shaping up to be the elite Wide Receiver based off the end of the season, give him Bridgewater and it'll look like an NFC North offense for once. Maybe.
