Um, okay. That Jags bashing is some of the most baseless nonsense I've ever read. The Titans are just a terrible matchup for them, both games between the two last year went the same way: close slobberknockers.

As a Bills fan, I'm pissed Brady got hurt. Yes, the AFC East is wide open, and yes, I will love beating the Pats, but it won't be the same beating a Bradyless team. It will be a W, but it will be a hollow one.

Predictions (I might miscount some games, I'm just giving general impressions)

Cowboys: 13-3 (ugh - "best team in football hands down")
Giants: 11-5 (they're so loaded at d-line they lose strahan and osi and they arguably still have the best front 4 in football)
Eagles 9-7
Redskins 5-11 (our lines are absolutely terrible right now and we might as well trade campbell and most of our skill positions now because they're 3 years away - 5 wins is optimistic)

Packers: 10-6 (Rodgers is the real deal imo though this first game will tell a lot)
Vikings 10-6 (best running game in the NFL but I still don't trust Jackson)
Lions 7-9
Bears 7-9 (Bears D will be good if they stay healthy)

Saints: 10-6
Panthers: 9-7
Buccaneers: 8-8
Falcons: 6-10 (they'll be very competitive - this division will become a terror in a year)

Cardinals: 9-7 (their defense will catch up to the offense)
Seahawks: 9-7 (don't like them at all for some reason, don't trust their running game, good lines though)
49ers: 7-9 (brian st. pierre wtf but gore is a beast and their d is good)
Rams: 5-11 (seriously what the fuck is wrong with them)

Bills: 10-6 (honestly I don't know who their QB is now but Lynch is a superstar in the making and their defense is awesome)
Jets: 9-7 (Favre won't be enough but they'll be improved)
Patriots: 7-9 (they would have to work for the division even with Brady; their defense is absolute shit except for their front 3 and their line is suddenly shaky)
Dolphins 3-13 (not for long though)

Steelers 11-5
Browns 8-8 (O.V.E.R.R.A.T.E.D. Quinn will be the starter by the end of the season)
Ravens 7-9 (unless Flacco is really good really quick)
Bengals 4-12 (they're a mess)

Jaguars 12-4 (second best running game in football, great defense, Garrard is a beast - they are a very complete team)
Colts 11-5 (they'll get it together)
Titans 8-8 (Young injury will set them back for at least 5 games until he gets back to full strength)
Texans 7-9 (that division is too tough)

Chargers: 12-4 (this division is terrible, which makes up for Norv's mediocrity)
Broncos: 8-8 (their lines suck and they won't work magic with random RBs this time)
Chiefs: 6-10 (next year they'll be okay, assuming that Johnson can still run)
Raiders: 5-11 (see the chiefs, assuming McFadden is the real deal)

Super Bowl winner:

Cowboys > Jaguars

I think people are jumping to more than a few conclusions here.

Yeah, alot of weird shit happened in week 1, but we really can't count people out until week 2 or 3 when we see how consistent they'll be.

The Pats will still make the playoffs because of their pathetically easy schedule.

The Bills might have ANNIHILATED the Seahawks, but Trent Edwards needs more consistency to lead his team to the playoffs. As for the Hawks, lol, but I think they'll do fine.

My prediction of the Colts fading into the background is beginning to come true, but as I said before let's wait til week 2.

Too lazy to analyze everything now.

no the problem isn't schaub its your shit-ass secondary and lack of a back seven save for ryans

and the fact that ahman green is your best running back

seahawks lose burleson. right after dj hackett left the team, their receiving corp is now declining. Courtney Taylor and two practice-squad-material receivers are the only players in town. the hawks will not be the same this year, i think. They are so desperate that they may convert Seneca Wallace into a WR. That's all that has to be said.

jags also lose their RT for the season. I believe that will affect MJD and Freddy significantly.

and another crazy injury. Drew Bennett out for six weeks... As if Torry Holt couldnt have been double teamed much more.

oh and Tim Rattay and Chris Simms may not actually take the backup QB from Cassel. They were sent back to the airport. So, does this mean they could bring back Matt Gutierrez? or... could it also be Randy Moss stirring up a comeback for the one and only Daunte Culpepper? :O

wow so much injuries...

sounds like somebody was watching the 2 hour monday night prep show or whatever it's called..

actually as proven from the last game, we let willie parker go off for 3 tds and like 150 yards, hines ward was an afterthought and only got his as a result of parker doing so much damage.

not to mention after schaub threw the first pick, he started making scared ass pussy throws and then start holding it onto the ball for far too long, making the oline suffer even more than it already does. last thing i want is another david carr.

and that still doesn't mean that sage rosenfels isn't a bad ass. 4-1 for a reason!

haha I live in Indy and my friend ordered a Houston hat and Shirt and I got xROSENFELSx embroidered onto it.
Rosenfels needs to get the start!

The Cleveland Browns are going to win the super bowl this year

We may not have Tony Romeo or Gayton Manning, but we have The D.A.. He' not afraid to take shots down the field, and with that mansize 6'6" he towers over the line and makes manly broad shoulder throws to Our Soldiers Kelen and Braylon. Maybe Quinn will be good down the road but The D.A. is this season.

And fuck you for saying The Cleveland Browns are overrated, you are

Texans > AFC

but really...San Diego has it.

edit: Green Bay fucking rapes.
People who think Minnesota has a chance at the Super Bowl, let alone the playoffs better get this reality check.

The Vikings are retarded. AP has been solid all night, he picked up a 3rd and 6 completely on his own. Jackson has had to pass 30 times, and the only thing he should be doing is just enough NOT to lose the game (Ryan or Flacco anyone?). They got behind and abandoned the run game, which is their overwhelming strength.

Rodgers doesn't look like an instant Hall inductee, but he looks solid. Smart and efficient.

tbh I didn't actually watch the game, but I know you lost Robinson, and I don't know any of your other DBs at all (Faggins? Brown? I dunno if they're still there), and I know you have Okoye (on paper Landry's better but we needed an actual lineman) and Williams (who might be the best player in his draft considering that vince young can't throw and reggie bush can't hit a hole to save his life, though he looked better against TB)

honestly by that logic we should start todd collins over jason campbell (if saunders was still here you'd have somewhat of an argument because todd collins has been in that system his entire career)

Ignore Schaub's 2 INTs and look at his completion percentage. 15/22 is like what, 68% or something? That's not bad at all.

I still don't understand why people keep insisting Derek Anderson is this amazing QB. Clearly he is one of those "peak and valley" Quarterbacks, meaning he has big plays, and shitty plays, without a whole lot of consistency. He is not (and never will be) a prolific quarterback, and his career is doomed to be marked by numerous miracles and chokes.

the steelers do that to people, sorry texans :(

i used to be a texans fan until they got rid of domanick davis and crap. and couldn't get a good o-line together. i wonder how much tony boselli would have helped if he'd actually played for the texans.

lulz browns. the only thing is hoping that anderson gets enough time to drop bombs all over the steelers "decent" secondary. the only thing that scares me is their ability to put up points in bunches. i've heard the defense for the browns is supposed to be improved but...we'll see.

Well I won handily in 2 of my 3 Fantasy Football leagues!

That's all I'm pleased about in week 1. Last nights game confirmed my worst fears: the Vikings are absolute shit. My high schools football team could have done a better job covering punts, their pass defense was terrible (not to diminish Rogers' play, I would say he looked quite solid but it should be taken with a grain of salt because we was in fact playing the piss-shit Vikings), and they couldn't pass the ball at ALL. They might as well have run every goddamn play because it would have ended up gaining them more yards than passing, even against an 11-man front. I loved T-Jack's outstanding spiral at the end of the game... right to Atari Bigby! To be honest, I would be VERY surprised if the Vikings won more than 6 games this year. They are just that shitty.

And fuck you for saying The Cleveland Browns are overrated

your defense is still crap (worst in the NFL last year IIRC), rogers misses half the plays just because he's out of shape and gets tired, you traded your best corner btw, and anderson is just another guy with a big arm who happens to have great targets
