Is it just me, or is this the least hyped Super Bowl in years? It seems like all the Patriots hype in the regular season incredibly enough has made it so this Super Bowl, which seems to be the best matchup since Patriots/Panthers and Patriots/Eagles, is not getting hyped up at all!
Are you joking? My statement was ridiculous? The Giants outplayed the Packers in every facet of the game, whatever the score may reflect, whereas the Giants versus Cowboys match was a back and forth slugfest that was not decided until the very end (and an awful intentional grounding penalty which the NFL has officially stated was an incorrect call!) I am NOT saying the Cowboys or Packers were better, because the Giants, via making the Super Bowl, are the best team of the NFC of the postseason. The Cowboys were the best in the regular season, the Packers were the second best in the regular season, and that is supported by their records and the Cowboys winning head to head, in spite of any arguments you might have of 'they were injured!' and whatever other excuses you want to make. The only way to compare who was better of the Cowboys and Packers in the postseason is to compare how they lost to the best NFC team of the postseason, and the Cowboys come out ahead, but it is not as if it matters since they still lost!
Well don't sit here and tell me that the Packer's weren't in the game you idiot at least we only lost by 3 points and in OT, not to mention we actually won a playoff game. The only way to compare them is not to look at how they played the G-men...Come on who's better the team that loses a first round game or the one that wins it? come on here lets get serious and think.
I really do not want to get into the third-we shut down this bastard- arguement because what happens is people gang up on me and then by default evidently I lose. BBM, by saying grant was shut down you are also saying that in week 10 AP was shut down. I believe that you and your anti-Packer fans were very much agaisnt the fact that AP was shut down, yet when it comes to Grant, oh no he was definately shut down. SO LETS JUST NOT TOUCH THIS.
BBM, losing to the bears twice has nothing to do with this argument at all. If anything, it shows how much mroe talent Green Bay has. How is this possible? Well when you look at the 2 horrid bears games you look at how and why we lost. The first one was james jones and his fumbles. Otherwise we win, which would make us 14-2. The second one we did play bad, but it was just our special teams and 40mph winds sort of nullified anything we were able to do. Then the dallas game, enough said that was bs. Both of those aside, then you look at our wins...none of which were as close as that bills or lions game for the cowboys in which they JUST sneaked past. BBM, your fairly lucky you have fans behind your back because you really can't prove a point.
Judgement, perhaps i didn't make myself clear. The Packers were "trying" but they just didn't call enough running plays, it wasn't in the gameplan. My gameplan was basicly PA and run outside which they did not try at all, which bothered me. The screens were terrible and GB needs to remeber that this isn't 2002 where we would throw 80 yard screens to Ahman Green.
Look, its time to face the music. The cowboys just aren't as good as Green Bay, or the g-men. They are a close third, maybe 4th (lol). The real team here is the giants. On paper, both teams are far better than the g-men. But look who is in the superbowl? Seattle can prolly say the same. Now i understand, everyone is just all pissey including myself because the giants are in the superbowl, even though they suck lol. Lets face it, the best team is not in the superbowl. The giants got very lucky in the fact that both dallas and Green Bay killed themselves in their games. Nevertheless, I proclaim GB as the better of the top two NFC seeds. Why? well plain and simple, it's the dreadlocks. TBH, I can not wait to see the Packers\cowboys game next year to prove who is better.
