It'd be a bit more obvious on a roster screen since more than just the last name is visible green, heh heh.
I don't see too much of the Oilers to compare(although I've been enjoying them embarrassing the ducks lately!) but while I don't see more than three or four of their games a month it seems like I see something that I find particularly dirty in at least half of them. I expect it from people like Iginla and Phaneuf at this point, which is unfortunate since they're both really good at hockey and should probably focus on that instead of doing stupid shit. I'm still pretty annoyed about that whole 'send out the backup goalie to fire a cheapshit with the goal stick' in the playoffs last year, but at least the coach got axed since I think it's fairly obvious it was his fault. I'm not big on Tanguay or Huselius either though(looking at skill rather than class), but I'm a bit biased on the former since he is one of those players that has been on my shit list for about a decade now.
On a lighter note, in spite of being in 12th place in the Eastern Conference, the Thrashers have both the Player of the Month and the Rookie of the Month in Ilya Kovalchuk and Tobias Enstrom. Obviously I am enjoying this because both of them are on my fantasy team currently, but I'd check out Enstrom if you guys get a chance. I'm not sure how much the mostly Canadian smogon hockey fanbase gets to see of him since he plays in the Southeast, but I'm really impressed by him. I watch the Thrashers a lot since they tend to have pretty interesting games, and I've really liked what I've seen from Enstrom. Statistically he looks good(leads team with 25 minutes of ice time per game, 10 points in november and 16 in 26 games on the year), but I don't think that really tells the whole story for him. He's pretty sound defensively but the main thing I like about him is his passing - on more than a few occasions I've seen him string it through multiple defenders in a single pass to get his teammates great scoring chances. I think as long as Atlanta manages to keep Kovalchuk and Hossa in town for him to work with he'll be a one of those perennial all stars assuming he continues to improve.
On one more random note - evidently the NHL set a record for average attendance in November. I guess that's at least somewhat reassuring with all the negativity about the game's lost popularity(somehow I doubt there were any TV records set), although for the most part it looks like it nearly goes up every year so I don't know how impressed I am.
