FUCK I am so sick of this fucking moron. Yeah, we'll have a GREAT team if all the washed up players play like it was 5 years ago, but I doubt that will happen. Watch the end of next year he allows Giordano to walk...idiots!

Pardon me... I thought those were the penguins... They have similar home jersey's... (Black and Gold)
 
J-man, the colors aren't the same nor is the design. Not to mention Burke has nothing to do with the penguins. For a person who trolled in cong pretty obviously you're making a nice run at it here.

Bite your tongue there, i'm not trying to troll here (nor do it try anywhere else, i can get pretty heated and do dumb stuff in debates). I admitted it myself that it was my bad. I thought since we were arguing stanley cup threats for next year, the black and yellow translated into the Pittsburgh Penguins. I justed started watching this in march, give me a break!
 
OK superfriends since this is kinda the combo NHL series thread, demo out on the 17th (2am.) confirmed. To have an Ultimate Hockey league demo where you can do a tournament with a random team they give you playing only the third periods or Battle for the Cup Game 7(which never happened ?_?) period 3 with Chicago vs. Philly in the vein of last year's demo. Stuff you do in UHL doesn't carryover, but:

Here are some ways you can earn some free HUT packs through the demo. 1) Play the demo. 2) Win the HUT tourney in the demo 3) Invite a friend to the NHL11 demo. To be clear, you will NOT earn 2 packs if you play the demo and win the HUT tourney. You will either get 1 free pack for playing the demo, or 1 free pack for winning the tourney. So when you play the demo, you have an opportunity to get 2 free packs for your actual HUT team in N HL11

I'm not really sure what that actually means maybe you guys can figure it out.




For those of you who haven't been following it, UHL is their attempt at an online franchise mode. You get player "cards" and training cards and contract cards and throw shit together and good stuff happens eventually or something.

Nabokov said something similar about going back to the KHL(specifically mentioning the Oilers). They have some crazy image issues...
 
NHL to review various contracts. It's legal, in the current CBA it directly says that they can go back and review contracts that are circumvent the salary cap. With a new CBA deal coming soon, I suspect we're going to see a flood of players go to the KHL for a while.

Well, i'm officially the pre owner of NHL 2k11... Not much to choose from and it didn't help when a youtube review said that the other option (NHL Slapshot) was not very good....

Hey, wait a sec. Niemi isn't coming back to SM-liiga, or then it's not sure yet. I'm from Finnland and i'm sure if Niemi tells his coming back to SM-liiga Finnish media will make a big fuss about it. So, i would like know source for this information.

i check my baseball pools every day, so once I see that fantasy hockey signups have opened i will create the league asap. We can decide on a date once we figure out who is actually playing and what works for everyone.

the keeper question will forever be there, and I am kind of starting to think it would in fact be a good idea, say 3 keepers.
 
I know Paul and aldaron mentioned they were opposed to keepers last I talked to them... I think we're split fairly evenly.

Though only doing 2 or 3 keepers isn't really much more appealing than 0 to me; if we do that few I don't really have an opinion about doing it or not.
