Pens and Caps both lose to a team that people thought they should beat. Said team will go on to get blown out by winner of Bruins/Flyers series.
Bruins up 3-0 on Flyers. Backup goalie starts next game and you know what happens next.
Sharks up 3-0 on Red Wings. Will go on to choke in WCF to a lower seeded team.
All that's left is a 2nd round loss by Vancouver.

You realize if they moved back to winnepeg, that team would be a freaking disaster next year right? Bryzgalov hates the 'peg and won't return to the jets/yotes if they move. I can't help but think there'd be others that will leave.
If the teams move, i'd pick a place like Seattle.
If the Coyotes go anywhere, it has to be Winnipeg. They sustained a team before and only lost it to the poor dollar conversion, which is a non-issue now. Who cares how well the team plays, that arena will sell out for each of the 42 home losses.
If Seattle wants a team (which isn't very likely, considering I've never heard of them having a market for it there), they can have the Thrashers.
Just going to say first and foremost that I live in Winnipeg.
For the first season every game will undoubtedly be a sell out. But the thing is, the MTS Arena can only fit about 15000 people. A sell out every game is, according to Wikipedia, about 23rd in the NHL accounting for one team moving and 7 teams having worse attendance.
That's the first season alone. I was at a Manitoba Moose Playoff game this Tuesday and last night (Friday night). The attendance for these Playoff games (emphasizing Playoff) was horrifying. The first game didn't even announce the attendance, but I'd guess it was, at best, 8000 people or so. They didn't even sell tickets to the upper level (300 level). The game on Wednesday went into double overtime, so I thought the game last night would have more people. The upper level was open, but me and my friends were able to buy tickets together half an hour before the game started. The announced attendance was about 9800 for a Friday night game, and the tickets were 23 dollars and 29 dollars respectively.
This is the NHL though, so maybe more people will be willing to buy tickets just because it is the NHL. But that attendance for an AHL Playoff game scares me. I want an NHL team about as much as anyone in the city, but I'm not thrilled at the possible idea of it failing again.
I'm not sure about some of these comparisons.
First, AHL attendance doesn't mean much. For years, neither Toronto nor Montreal (both obviously large hockey markets) could sustain Junior teams because people weren't interested in a sub NHL product... and I'd buy tickets to a Junior game much before I'd buy tickets to an AHL game. Winnipeg tasted the NHL, it is likely not interested in anything less. I know I wouldn't be. Besides.. 10k for an AHL game doesn't seem that bad at all to me.
15000 tickets sold in Winnipeg is probably going to get them more money than 15000 tickets sold somewhere where tickets are nearly given away. Some teams do use very desperate tactics to boost their attendance - I remember the Kings earlier this decade promising the playoffs or money back for season ticket holders.
15k seems right for Winnipeg and aren't there plans to enlarge the MTS Arena anyway?
Just wanted to post and say that earlier this decade was 1 year ago.
