Note to Blackhawks: Please stop icing an injured Toews, it's killing me in Fantasy.

And tell Crawford to get his ass in gear because that too is also killing me in Fantasy. He single handedly lost me last week in fantasy after leading with a < 1 GAA and > .930 SV% sigh.

I enjoyed this comment:

How sad is it that somebody actually spent this much time on a video to make fun of Scott Gomez??

It actually started as a joke of Dmitry Chesnokov he was joking on when there would be a history will be made video starring Gomez.

Didn't take long for that video to be put up youtube and send into the world by him.

I think he could have done a better job at making fun of Gomez though ;)

Blackhawks have been complete shit lately. 6 game losing streak.

Hey guys, apparently the League is going to make a major announcement at a press conference tomorow morning in Detroit. Does anyone have any clue as to what there going to say?

hopefully they're announcing that every city gets a Winter Classic, 15 Winter Classics every New Year's Day!!!! that way EVERYBODY gets to watch hockey

how bout dem Sabres

Oh yeah, that was totally a goal by Boston. Terrible call there. The rest of the game, though, was the Sabres standing up to the bigger Bruins and winning fights by losing them (and after the first, they weren't even CLOSE) and the Bruins getting pissed and trying to goon it up.

5-0-4 in last 9 at home, 4-0-1 last five overall (and the one loss was a 1-0 shootout loss to the Rangers). I'm not talking playoffs, but the Sabres are finally playing to their potential.

I'm not posting to say that the refs are always against Carolina, but tonight's game against the Ducks featured SEVERAL obvious missed calls on both sides. I've been seeing so much interference lately and it is just getting annoying. Players cannot chip the puck past a dman without getting flattened anymore. Defenders are basically grabbing forwards whenever they want regardless of where the puck is and there are no calls for anything.

Apparently tripping is fine now too as long as it happens behind the goalline:

Yeah after the Sabres chased Rask that game was over. It's one of those games where you just want to throw the tape away and start over tomorrow. Good to see Ryan Miller back in form though.

Terrible officiating in that game. The disallowed goal, 2 missed tripping calls, missed interference against Chara then a questionable interference called against him...then in the second half it was clear the refs had no control over the game. Terrible game for the zebras.

If I were a Sabres fan I'd be talking playoffs, or at least thinking them. They've been tearing shit up at home lately and they have a huge homestand coming up. 11 points to make up with 30 to go, the East isn't so strong that I'd count them out yet. Now if only they could start getting 2 points instead of 1 at home they'd be in the picture already.

winning fights by losing them

??

I think the hawks should go back to winning against noncentral teams because locking down 1 4 5 6 is pretty amusing

That was the big announcement? I'm thoroughly both unimpressed and annoyed. The outdoor game is a yearly event, just announce it. Don't make it sound like something actually important is about to happen.

I agree, but I didn't think it was as skewed as you make it out to be. During that one scrum, Thornton pretty much jumped Mike Weber, who had no intention of fighting but couldn't back down. Thornton got the instigator minor, but Weber somehow ended up with a roughing minor, and we got no power play out of it. And really... missed interference against Chara and then questionable interference against him???

Obvious bias of the NBC shitbags aside, Kaleta tapped Chara on the shoulder right after he passed it, a completely legal hit. It's not his fault Chara fell off his skates into his own goalie, and then got pissed off and charged up ice and demolished Kaleta in open ice without him ever playing the puck. One is blatantly interference, one isn't.

You're right, but I'm from Buffalo, I've watched this particular episode of "THE SABRES SHOW" before. I'm not going to talk about playoffs until our ticket is stamped.

I'm saying we lost every fight, but by standing up to your bigger, tougher players, we fired up the crowd and the team. Small victories that played a huge part in the overall win.
