That was the big announcement? I'm thoroughly both unimpressed and annoyed. The outdoor game is a yearly event, just announce it. Don't make it sound like something actually important is about to happen.
Terrible officiating in that game. The disallowed goal, 2 missed tripping calls, missed interference against Chara then a questionable interference called against him...then in the second half it was clear the refs had no control over the game. Terrible game for the zebras.
I agree, but I didn't think it was as skewed as you make it out to be. During that one scrum, Thornton pretty much jumped Mike Weber, who had no intention of fighting but couldn't back down. Thornton got the instigator minor, but Weber somehow ended up with a roughing minor, and we got no power play out of it. And really... missed interference against Chara and then questionable interference against him???

Obvious bias of the NBC shitbags aside, Kaleta
tapped Chara on the shoulder right after he passed it, a completely legal hit. It's not his fault Chara fell off his skates into his own goalie, and then got pissed off and charged up ice and demolished Kaleta in open ice without him ever playing the puck. One is
blatantly interference, one isn't.
If I were a Sabres fan I'd be talking playoffs, or at least thinking them. They've been tearing shit up at home lately and they have a huge homestand coming up. 11 points to make up with 30 to go, the East isn't so strong that I'd count them out yet. Now if only they could start getting 2 points instead of 1 at home they'd be in the picture already.
You're right, but I'm from Buffalo, I've watched this particular episode of "THE SABRES SHOW" before. I'm not going to talk about playoffs until our ticket is stamped.
I'm saying we lost every fight, but by standing up to your bigger, tougher players, we fired up the crowd and the team. Small victories that played a huge part in the overall win.
