someone should trade me all of the rangers, philadelphia, and anaheim fantasy relevant players so they go on IR within a week or two IMHO

gomez, semin, nabokov, rolston, horton, and pitkanen before i dropped him have NO PITY for your injuries, jerkwad.

I'll counter with bieksa, fleury, ryan whitney, sakic, mike van ryn, andrew ference!

I'll give you Paul Mara for Green. We both get something we want (and in my case I get two things I want). =D

sakic and whitney were injured when you got them and van ryn and ference blow tbh

edit: also as previously mentioned add green to my list. fortunately versteeg and ryan will carry my team (lol)

at least on the plus side for you.. green and semin will be back at some point

on the plus side for me, i don't have to sit around forever waiting for my star players to recover from mysterious "lower body injury"

I had to stop watching the Islanders-Devils game because the officiating was fucking laughable. First, the Devils crash the net during an Isles power play on a delayed penalty call against the Isles. Despite the fact that several Isles defensemen touched the puck, Elias is allowed to put it in for another backbreaking goal.

I'm used to this kind of shit because I'm an Islanders fan, but the next gaff really got me pissed. I don't have a video of it, but basically as Nielsen tried going around Mottau on a scoring chance, Mottau delivered an elbow to Nielsen's head, knocking him to the ground and causing his ankle to twist awkwardly. Hunter, the closest Isle to this, skates up and throws him against the boards to hold him accountable for the hit, and Mottau starts throwing punches.

Now, considering this is the kind of shit Bettman seems to be trying to stop (hit to the head WITH HIS SKATES OFF THE GROUND, NO LESS), you'd think Mottau would be penalized for this. He does get two penalties: a MINOR elbowing call and a major for fighting. Hunter, however, gets two minutes for Instigating, a major for Fighting, AND a game misconduct. What the hell, refs?

edit: holy fuck campbell is he even still alive

I feel sorry for you.

its ok i feel your pain i live in toronto

and here I thought you were better than that, Jackal. Living in Toronto...sheesh. What is it like cheering for arguably the most popular team that is hated by the rest of your country? Weird dichotomy, but we're all sick and tired of toronto games every saturday for HNIC.

im not a leaf fan until they fix this mess and it starts in the front office

maybe I will reconvert once burkey gets in, i mean we already got rid of mccabe which was step one, and luke schenn is a sign of hope :)

but for now goooo wild

I'm looking forward to Calgary getting their ass kicked by Detroit today, and yeah... the wild look like the team to beat in the Northwest.

Olie I hereby revoke our friendship. Firstly, nobody should look forward to calgary losing to detroit. Secondly, Minnesota isn't that great. They are the most consistent in the division to date though, since all the other teams are quite streaky (cept colorado who has dropped the ball this year so far).

Oh no.... Stevo :(
Well if it makes you feel better, Edmonton repetedly keeps losing to detroit cause we are sucky, but you guys *might* have a chance of winning today cause your team hasn't been sucking balls lately.

With the way Vancouver is playing these days they're by far the team to beat in the North West. The only concerning thing is the number of games in hand Minnesota has on us.

Though Luongo getting injured today is a major thorn in the Canucks sides but as long as the PHD line stays on fire, The defense stays healthy and the thid line does what it does than Vancouver will be fine for the next couple of weeks if Sanford/Schnieder play well enough. Good chance for us to show the league that we can win games without our captain. Did it today in Pittsburgh.

Vancouver will be just fine playing through this. Maybe now people will realize that Luongo isn't the only player on the team.

PHD? Who's the P? Not Pyatt again, is it?

I officially hate my life as a Buffalo sports fan.

Somewhat frustrated by the fact I had Nabokov/Turco slotted in since Nabokov SAID he was going to be ready to play and like the schmuck I am I BELIEVED him and then it was Boucher instead and by the time I got home it was too close to the game and the roster was locked and I couldn't fix it ~_~ Costs me a point(Tie/Loss instead of Win/Tie depending on if Carl plays Smith and if Smith wins) at least... still a good week for my team considering the injury trouble though.

Toskala was just dropped in my league, so I'm wondering who I should drop for him. I'm thinking either Fabian Brunnstrom or Aaron Voros.

I'm not sure I'd want Toskala tbh but I wouldn't want iether of those LW either, Voros is money if they leave the Voros-Dubinsky-Zherdev line alone but they haven't wanted to do so this year. I'd wait for Gomez to come back to see what that does to the lines and see how the Morrow injury messes with Dallas's before I do anything... I don't think Brunnstrum has much fantasy value this year but if he ends up with Ribiero or Richards because of the injury he might be worth hanging on to, likewise if the "Playstation line" is kept together Voros is valuable. Line assignments are fluid so it's tough to drop/add based on them but it's about as much advice as there is to give I think...

They're both a little too dependent on their line assignments for my tastes, might want to look into other options if there's decent ones available.
