Damn I'm in need of goal scorers and some guy said he'd trade Kovalchuk for a top goalie. Should I trade Miller for Kovalchuk (assuming Miller is good enough for him)? Other goalies are Toskala/Ward (as always ;D).

If you could get Kovalchuk for Miller you'd definitely be winning the deal, although Toskala/Ward is pretty weak. It's probably still worth doing if you can, but I'd probably want to get back up to 3 goalies without a bona fide top tier goalie in your lineup, if the deal goes through I'd check waivers and hope someone like Steve Mason is still available, or even one of the more serviceable backups like Conklin or Halak.
I'm gonna discuss NHL 09 here a bit, and talk about what position you guys want me to play.
I wasn't used to the face offs, and Carl played a great center, so I'm definitely not wanting to play that.
I didn't think the game that we played with me on defense was that bad. We kept on being aggressive, and shouldn't of even needed to go into over time (i mean that was the flukiest angle ever)

the canucks will be a force come playoffs imo.. i'd say vancouver has a better chance to win the cup than his other choice (the rangers) and it's a better fit too position wise. NY is stacked at center and doesn't really have any wingers as is whereas a lot of the canucks wingers figured out how to score this year so just imagine sundin feeding them the puck.
i mean they'll still have to get past san jose and/or detroit but odds are you'd have to face one of them in the in the finals anyway if he signed with an east team

also, sundin actually voluntarily took less money than was offered to him so that the canucks had some more room to sign another player if the need arises.
The fans love Joseph, that's the only reason he's still on the team and Pogge is still with the Marlies. I don't even think Pogge is going to be good enough to be our future #1, fucking JFJ trading away Tuuka Rask.

Sens sucking is not all that surprising and why people thought they would improve from that terrible 3/4 of last year just because Emery who had become a scapegoat for all their problems was gone was beyond me. Absolutely no scoring depth beyond their big 3 and Auld is coming back to earth after that good start. If Spezza, Heatly or Alfredsson were to go down long term with injury I could easily seem the in dead last before the end of the year.
Although Spezza can you get off your lazy ass an do something for fantasy he is just wasting space and is undroppable. There better choices for C on waivers currently.
I speculate that Spezza will be traded to Florida for Bouwmeester.
Ya it would be, but there will be an impact trade (maybe not as much) in order to bring such a defencemen over to Ottawa.
Well, tickets for the Winter Classic will be on sale tomorrow at noon (central time). Everything on StubHub is ridiculously overpriced, so the $75 tickets that are available would be likely to be my best option. Really, I don't like the setup for the arena at all, with none of the seats looking like they'll have a good view.
I'm just going to forget it about it unless any of you (Carl, Synre, anyone else?) plan on going. Any thoughts?
