Ahh shit. Sedin is in my pool. FUUUUUU-

And Elias is also injured... great.

Other than that, anyone hear about that book Theoren Fleury's releasing? Sounds intriguing =/

Funny how losing one Sedin makes the other Sedin play half as well ;) As for the deals for Ovechkin, I like the 2 deals I have right now, more so Teifu's (I don't like that goalie Psycho, otherwise it would've been coo). I have to sleep on it =]

Actually Henrik was pretty awesome tonight as usual!

L>trade with injured Sedin. :(

And wow, Carey Price, slow start. 3 goals on 19 shots.
Hopefully Giguere gets kicked out soon, and Hiller becomes main ^^

Looks like my Sens are doing better than expected, hope I didn't jinx it! It pains me however to see Heatley leading the league in points. Oh well, I hope he enjoys his points and money, since I don't think San Jose will be going very far in the playoffs.

How about the Islanders though with no wins and 3 OT/SO losses. Poor poor Tavares.

It's not like everyone expected the Islanders to win every single game. In fact, I was expecting the Islanders to tank the first 5 games lol, even with Tavares.

Tavares might be a force to be reckoned with in the future.

and feel free to counter offer.

counter offer

except don't in my case because you waited too long and it isn't feasible to make a move now, but see: my smack

Also seriously the Islanders have looked pretty decent, they've had a tough schedule so far and young teams typically do better in the second half of the season since the experience from the first half is more valuable and things are still meshing. I think in a weaker division they could be playoff contenders, but it's probably not going to happen in the ridiculous Atlantic. Okposo has been pretty studly and Tavares has been good so far, those two will be a scary duo before we know it.

i hate to say i told you so

all right

but yeah i'm not going to start celebrating the future yet as i came into my own as an islanders fan during the milbury era

not to mention being a fan of the team with the most man-games missed last year kinda jades you against any glimmer of hope

Thanks Rinne, you just fucked me over in my other pool.

On the other news, Knuble moves on to the 1st line, and really shined there. Chicago comes back from a 5-1 deficit. Wow.

Yeah..Knuble and Ovechkin seemed to have good chemistry. I think he should stay on the first line. He provides the net presence that they were missing.

Also, Parise blew 3 shots in a row. He had the entire top half of the net every attempt...2 blocks and 1 over the net :(

That was a really good game though. I enjoyed Brodeur highsticking somebody in the face and the Clarkson shift that completely destroyed Washington's morale.

So, my San Jose Sharks are 3-2-1 (losing to the AVALANCHE, the Coyotes and the Kings). Not good when you have a massive east coast road trip coming up :(, so much for us repeating Presidents Trophy winners I just want them to get back to the Tank alive.

There have been some really good signs such as the chemistry of our first line (Heatly has meshed really well!) and Nabakov's form but ill disciplined penalties have resulted in too many power plays.

As a Sens fan, I truthfully say that I hope Heatley doesn't pull a fast one on you guys like he did to us. He really screwed up our team, especially with the crap involving Edmonton lol

Injuries adding up for the Nucks:

First Daniel now Salo. Who's gonna step up?

EDIT: Lol Jackal, I'm sure they'll pull through XD

I lol'd at my friend for taking bryzgalov instead of price. Now he's loling at me. =/ Bryzgalov is doing very well right now.

Holy smokes, whatever will they do without Sami Salo's mediocre defense and 1 point?

itt I take the troll bait and announce that Sami Salo is Vancouver's best defenseman.
I didn't realize that, but yes he is...good think Luongo is there because otherwise I would be real scared for that team. That D core is pretty mediocre at best and most of those D wouldnt even fit in on other teams second lines! Also, Salo isn't great and none of the D really have any value in fantasy hockey either outside of Bieksa maybe.

I was aware the Québec mayor and ex team owner and president Marcel Aubut met Gary Bettman last week and everything went superbly. Plans are now all but confirmed for the building of a 400 millions new arena, which should be officially announced soon (within a week). There is talk of Red Bull buying the arena's name for as much as 100 millions (which is probably blown out of proportions), and a serious potential buyer in Québécor (multimedia Canadian monster that just lost the bidding to buy the Canadiens). There is openness on the three government levels to help funding and Winnipeg's example demonstrates the arena could be profitable even if we don't right away get an NHL team (although Québec's arena intends to be larger and already fit to host a NHL team).

From what I heard, what was presented to Gary Bettman was very solid and corporative support is already there, already guaranteed. There is also already plenty of season tickets sold.

I used to believe it would likely get at least 2 teams to move back to Canada before Québec makes a move to do the same. But that was before this chain of recent developpements and now Bill Daly just said Québec was likely to be on top of the list should the NHL ever need to relocate (or expand).

I might be overexcited about it, but it just recently went from a fantasy to something that sounds incredibly realistic in short/medium term. I'm psyched.

Québec (province) is much too big a hockey market for one team alone. Bring back my Nordiques.

Erhoff says hi. 5 points already. Even though he's sometimes a defensive liability, with Salo gone, he'll see more PP time, already adding to his pp minutes. Oh and so does Willie Mitchell. Interesting article I read today about how his offense is about to step up.
