well, i just want to say now before everything gets decided on what should be an epically important fantasy sunday that this year was the best yet for the smogon hockey league and i'm glad you guys made this extremely competitive. to think that this week is still determining not only who makes the cut but even who gets a bye is pretty amazing. and the fact that the score will end up mattering for us bubble teams is even more outstanding. i'll be rooting for whoever makes the final cut for 5th and 6th seeds to win it all (sorry teifu) so hopefully the best teams make it in. best of luck tomorrow paul and vin. but not you jackal i wanna win xD

If that was a head shot, that would be a great way to ciment the NHL's new approach concerning them.

He's the league's top star, perfect occasion to send the right message. Suspend for 4 games imo!

My team needs all the help it can get!

Eh, the slight against Canada was mainly because the one (or was it 2?) assholes wanted to buy them and ship them off to there.

I'm glad that this season's success of you local hockey team has spurred you into posting a comment about it. Your loyal following of the Coyotes can be seen in all 3 of your posts in this thread prior to the last 24 hours and it is just heartwarming to see your patience as a die hard fan pay off. The temptation to brag about Phoenix's success earlier in the year must have been unbearable but you managed to restrain yourself until the final seven games of the season. Nice job! Yes, only a true hockey fan would be able to say so little for so long and could ignore the fact that boasting about it now gives the impression he was just hopping on the bandwagon around playoff time.

Good luck in the playoffs, you'll need it. A matchup with Nashville or Detroit is gonna be tough.
 
Uh, if that was intended to be insulting or mocking, you have your facts a bit wrong. I've always supported my Coyotes team ever since they first came here, I remember happily attending their playoff games many moons ago and am more than happy to be attending one this year as well after so long (though of course, fucking Gretzky managed to ruin that). So what if I don't feel the need to post in this thread as much, I can't enjoy watching my team's success before bothering to make a post now stating how dumb people were who thought ice hockey couldn't succeed in the desert? Besides, I've never been super active in this thread, though I will point out I've posted in the past years as well, so it's not something super new.

So yes, kindly gtfo my back, we'll make it past the first round for sure. I dunno if we're quite there yet to go all the way, but any return to the playoffs regardless of how they do in them is a major improvement over the last how many years of futility?
 
it was intended to be funny. laugh. i wasn't trying to offend you.. just poking fun at the fact that you rarely post in this thread, the coyotes have been the success story of the season, and out of the blue you're like 'yeah coyotes!' as the playoffs are starting. phoenix doing well is good for the league and yeah making the playoffs alone is a huge morale boost especially with the ownership issues looming.

too bad flying to phoenix and back and watching a game is more expensive than watching a leafs game =/

I was hoping to watch a canucks game before i left for toronto, but seems i'm gonna be stuck with the leafs for the next 4 years lol.
