Higgins and Lapierre were awesome late season acquisitions.

Go Canucks!

Yeah that elbowing looked like elbowing to me. Torres` head was on the glass, and Heatley turn around and hit him with the elbow. Not saying it was intentional, but it didn't look that weak.

That blown offside call was definitely weak though. Wasn't a break away though, but regardless.

And Stallion, I didn't see the Sharks controlling the play for 40 minutes. First 10 minutes was Shark sided, and the last ten minutes of the first was even. First half of the second was Sharks, and the last half was Canucks, with Niemi coming up huge with great saves all around. Third period was just Sharks playing the disappearing act, and Canucks jumping in to cash in on it.

And Thornton looked beastly out there, except for that last 10 minutes of play. Gave our D alot of trouble, especially with his huge ass reach. He was good along the boards, and made the small plays that mattered.

Never said we controlled it, but for the most part we were either outplaying them or at least hanging in there in the aforementioned periods of Canucks ascendency. Brb making a cool Canucks related JPEG for when they hopefully lose a game to us :)

Hitler video would've been better without so much unnecessary cursing.

As much as I hate the Bruins, I love Seguin's play. "Bench me in the playoffs, will you?"

Seriously where the hell has this guy been all year? He was so mediocre in the whole regular season and man he's just gone nuts in the conference finals, maybe the two prettiest goals of the playoffs with his first two. Gotta respect that, kid's rocking in the spotlight.

gosh is eraddd viewing the officiating from a canucks biased lens? im just not sure.

edit: though that board at the end of the period should have been a major so i guess now it really IS even

Point taken about refereeing. Didn't see the high stick on Thornton but saw the nasty gash on his face. Definitely should have been a penalty on that.

And for the love of the Sharks, please don't play Eager. His penalties just cost you guys a lot of the momentum and pretty much the game. He also is a bum.

I thought Niemi was fine in the first two periods. He made good stops on alot of the Canucks and held his team in there. The offense was terrible though, with all the turnovers in the neutral zone, and the defense just looked flat footed.

Waiting for a GIF of Lapierre's face when Clowe went to the penalty box. Hilarious as shit.

Edit: Mclellan says that Eager will be dressed for Game 3. Awesome.

eager sucks lol but it's no wonder he was on shitcago what a douche hole

anyway go canucks and in ur face stallion

ps. wellwood is indeed a weasel good call bieksa

I dont know what's the most embarrassing, Ben Eager (both his general play or goal celebration), our PP kill or the fact that in the 3rd we were horribly outplayed by a bunch of divers (who are skilfull nonetheless but milking penalties throughout the period).

Yeah I know! Look at Daniel Sedin lay on the ground for 5 minutes after the Ben Eager hit... Oh.

No he got right back up. And the sad truth is, if he had laid down there, pretending he was injured, Eager probably would have gotten the 5 minute major.

Articuno64 laid it out perfectly also.

Edit: I'm pretty sure you can see the stick reach inside of his visor Mercy, if you watch carefully enough. And if you had watched Game 2, I don't think you can call Kesler the type to embellish calls. He took all of Thornton's slashes and didn't embellish them once.

Pretty sure when you get hit in the eye, you instinctively knock your head back to avoid the piece of wood flying to the sensitive parts of your eyeball especially if it's already touching it.

Thornton's dive was not as bad as Kesler faking getting high sticked in Game 1.

Also the refs missed 2 high sticking penalties in the 1st on the Canucks that both would have been double minors.

Edit: He threw his head back like he just got punched in the nose with brass knucks, like come on.

I don't think either team has a leg to stand on with the diving, but props to Daniel Sedin for not being a bitch about a board he could easily have milked into a major. I'm not a big fan of his brother but that was more what playoff hockey is about by him, there.

Also Thornton's dive was easily the individual worst don't even give me that, he intentionally cheap shot a player in an injured area and then dove like a soccer player after barely being given contact. It's possibly the cheesiest play I've seen these entire playoffs.
