The Everything NHL Thread

Bruins are the stone cold lock of the century to repeat as champs. You've all been warned. 22-3-1 over the last 26, and not a team in sight that looks like they could compete over a 7-game series. Goals are coming from everywhere and they have two of the best goalies in the league. +59 goal differential (edit- now its +60) and nobody is even close, and the only teams with more points have played more games. It's a long season but barring a massive string of injuries there's nothing in their way. And yes I just knocked on wood after writing this.
 
6-0 Bruins after 24 minutes. This is ridiculous, leading the league in goals yet they have nobody in the top 30 in scoring. Can't wait for them to fuck the Canucks on Saturday, I'm trying to get tickets real bad

Every time I wonder "how could the Bruins possibly be better than the team that won the Cup last year?" I remember that they got rid of Tomas Kaberle. Talk about addition by subtraction.
 
Not sure what to make of it. Could be the PA just flexing its muscles for the upcoming CBA. I don't buy the "we didn't have enough time" excuse.

Also, Schneider starting in net tomorrow. Going to be a good game.
 
PA gave the NHL the middle finger on that one... Eh, wasn't too happy with the playoff format, so IMO I guess that's cool. I really think they should have stuck with the simple team shift (Minny to Central, Peg to NW, and Nash/CBJ to SE).
 
There's a theory going around that they're just using this as leverage for the new CBA. I don't really care if it is, I just want to hear a good reason for them declining the CBA so they can pretend that it wasn't their true motive.

Fuck this season. The hockey gods must be getting the Oilers back for dealing with the hockey devil and having their 80s dynasty. First, Nuge is out an extended period of time, perhaps costing him his surefire Calder, and now Eberle is out, perhaps costing him his all star appearance. Fuck this, not watching the rest of this game. Fail for Nail.
 
I feel like my Eberle/Skinner/Crosby money league team isn't as strong at C and RW as I thought it was going to be...





Bad breaks for Edmonton, but hard to be too upset if you're an Oilers fan, I think -- it's not like THIS WAS THE YEAR! anyway, and they'll be pretty monstrous in two years if they have any semblance of a blueline at all. Time is coming...

Anyways, great we got the win, fucking pissed Salo is out for 2-3 months. What a fucking dipshit play of Marchand.
 
I srsly hope jrrrrrrr got tickets to that game, I bet his tears were delicious

Marchand is an asshole, etc, but Salo getting injured isn't exactly surprising lol...anyway, it's nice to be on top !
