Caps should've been leading the SE from start to finish based on their talent level IMO.

At least in the realignment the divisions will be more competitive, with the two worst (TB, and FL) teams being placed in a high talent division. Even though stuff like talent varies over time, the south east is by far the weakest division, where the northeast is the strongest.

Maybe now that the wings lost CBJ, or the Oilers might have a chance to be the #8 seed.

lmao bruins have 4 shots on goal vs the canes... and theyve gotten a goal off of each one... two of them giving up rebounds stuffed back in when the goalie was paying no attention at all to the puck....
also ive been very unimpressed by jagr. Hes looked like the classic overrated star, constantly trying to get touches and making some flashy moves but being stupid with the puck alot and playing poor fundamentally... has he always been like this or has this developed with age?

You must not have watched him when he was younger. You think Crosby is a great puck possession player? Jagr DOMINATED. He looked like he was playing with high schoolers. Back in his heyday, he could get away with those shenanigans because it would end with the puck in the net.
Biased Oilers fan blahblahblah, but I honestly feel that Seguin is dragging that line down. He's been ineffective and not generating any scoring chances, and Jagr has to do too much himself. At least Marchand can finish though and the Hurricanes are terribad.
Marchand before today hadnt been finishing, hed had very little ability whatsoever to capitalize on chances... He seems to be coming back though...
Largely recently seguin has been struggling trying to move over to center which really isnt where hes at his best, but he had a very good game today getting back out on the wing

Yep. Jagr is arguably the greatest puck possession player ever.
I dont see Winnipeg or Columbus making the playoffs. Winnipeg has the better chance.
I think that Winnipeg definitely has a shot. Sens, Devs and Rangers have all been playing pretty poorly so if they can get some wins they'll make it. I don't think they'll get divisional lead over Caps since Ovie is on fire atm and they are playing really well.
I don't think Columbus can catch the other west teams, Detroit in 8th has a comfy 4 point lead over them and Dallas has played 1 fewer game with a higher row. Yotes are just a beastly team I don't think you can count them out ever, I hope they can make a push into one of the lower seeds, especially 8th so they face Shithawks R1 for a rematch :D
The real joke is how terrible the Devils are at the skills competition (2/9 on the year). Win a few of those and they're right in the middle of the playoff pack instead of on the bubble.
Columbus is working so hard, they deserve to make the play-offs. I hope they do good, and the Wings do bad.

I'm trying to make a bet with someone on who will win the Pres trophy, I want to say Pittsburgh so bad, but Chicago seems so formidable. Does anyone have any comments to this?

Whacky start to the bruins devils game... Nearly the entire game the devils have been on the power play from tickytack penalties, but the bruins are up 3-0 and missed a penalty shot on another tickytack penalty... And yet a hit on krejci that i expect tp see whichever devil it was suspended for goes uncalled... This is so weird... Krejci is very lucky hes not seriously hurt...
Edit: And now volchenkov tries to hurt marchand and this time the devils succeed in injuring the bruins... If volchenkov was who took out krejci he should be seeing an enormous suspension, and if not i think the question needs to be asked why two seperate players were trying to hurt sperate bruins with no apparent provocation....
