How to beat Cynthia's Garchomp...don't! Anyway, I've been wanting to say that I'm sorry for not being very active with the thread, it's just that I've been very busy by having to do 3 reports in 2 weeks. Thankfully this is my last week of school, so I'll be much more active with the thread. Hopefully you understand, also thanks for being patient.

Endure SD Salac Chomp

Garchomp @ Salac Berry
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Endure
- Swords Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake

This set takes a different stance from SubSD Salac, as this is tailored more for fighting offense. Say you're up against a +1 Zard-X, whereas SubSD can't do anything if it hasn't gotten a Sub up, you click Endure, get the speed boost, and then go to town. Sadly prio moves suck, but at least you have Endure to whittle them down a bit more than if you were running another set.

Garchomp @ Choice Band
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Fire Fang

This set is similar to Kyu-B's band set, and although its Outrage is a lot weaker, STAB EQ gives it a way to actually hit Steels, and it also benefits from outspeeding base 100s and having a better defensive typing. Its advantage over SD Chomp is that it doesn't need the setup turn to be super threatening, and also breaks Unaware Pokemon more easily.

Garchomp @ BrightPowder
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Substitute

Have you ever dreamt a metagame in which WoW has not 85% accuracy anymore? Do you really like sand teams? This Garchomp says yes.
This is a classic Sub + 3 attacks Garchomp in which Substitute's utility is enhanced by the combination of Brightpowder + Sand Veil.
Brightpowder is useful to avoid outright OHKOs from opposite Draco Meteors or some annoying attacks without perfect accuracy even when you can't set up a Sub. Not only this, but the hightened evasion allows Garchomp to switch into the battle more safely if needed.

The basic support of Tyranitar or Hippowdon is always a good thing, not to mention that now you can use even the opposite sand setters which are so used at the moment.

Odd HP to make 4 Subs instead of 3.

Some notable calcs factoring in only Brightpowder (without the Sand):
Steam Eruption: 95% acc ===> 85,5% acc
Draco Meteor, Leaf Storm: 90% acc ===> 81% acc
Will-O-Wisp, Hydro Pump: 85% acc ===> 76,5% acc
Stone Edges: 80% acc ===> 72% acc
Focus Blast, Hurricane without rain: 70% acc ===> 63% acc

Garchomp @ Roseli Berry
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Rush / Dragon Claw
- Fire Blast / Swords Dance

Roseli Chomp is a set designed with two goals in mind: to beat Diancie in the lead matchup, and to successfuly lure+KO Diancie after netting a kill. The set itself is the same thing as Lum+SR Chomper, although I've slashed Dragon Rush in because EQ is the primary attacking move anyway and I don't like my unboosted Dragon-type moves to be weak as shit and, given the nature of how the set functions, being locked into Outrage is completely detrimental to achieving its goal.

Choice Band Garchomp (if you are able to get rid of Flying types/Levitate users to spam Earthquake, it is very difficult to handle this thing)
