Specs Empoleon

Empoleon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 76 HP / 252 SpA / 180 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Flash Cannon
- Ice Beam
- Grass Knot

Not much in Empoleon but there's specs which is pretty much sub petaya without a sub or speed. 180 Speed to Outspeed 8 speed defensive lando-t. Some basic moves with grass knot for sbro, keldeo, bulky waters, etc. Hydro + Torrent + Specs = Hurt.

252 SpA Choice Specs Empoleon Grass Knot (100 BP) vs. 252 HP / 24 SpD Mega Slowbro: 342-404 (86.8 - 102.5%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Torrent Empoleon Hydro Pump vs. 16 HP / 0 SpD Mega Gardevoir: 280-330 (99.6 - 117.4%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Torrent Empoleon Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 144+ SpD Mega Sableye: 256-303 (84.2 - 99.6%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Although HaxChomp is angry to be loved by so few persons :pimp:, this is the set I reserve:

Scarf Empoleon

Empoleon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe or 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature or Timid Nature
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Flash Cannon
- Earthquake/Grass Knot

This Empoleon reaches 360 Spe (240 x 1,5) and revenge kills some faster monster that were impossible to touch before being ruined by a super-effective hit.
Scald + Flash Cannon are the STABs, whereas Ice Beam is mandatory to hit the pokemons 4x weak to it. The same is for Earthquake: it revenge kills Magnezone (a traditional counter) and the Scarf allows Empoleon to attack first once more.

Grass Knot is also an option to defeat Kabutops, Mega Swampert and Omastar and let's you use a more efficient EVs spread with 0 Atk IVs and a Timid nature.

The Scarf enables us to net some KOs (one or even two per match) before the opponent figures out what our item is.
  • 252 SpA Empoleon Ice Beam vs. 240 HP / 0 SpD TankChomp: 404-476 (96.8 - 114.1%) -- 75% chance to OHKO (Garchomp is now outsped)
  • 252 SpA Empoleon Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Offensive Garchomp: 404-476 (113.1 - 133.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO (Garchomp is now outsped)
  • 4 Atk Empoleon Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def HP Fire (30 Spe EVs) Magnezone: 224-268 (79.7 - 95.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
  • 4 Atk Empoleon Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Lucario: 170-202 (60.4 - 71.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (now, you can revenge kill a Lucario)
  • 252 SpA Empoleon Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Serperior: 182-216 (62.5 - 74.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (nice thing because now Empoleon wins with Ice Beam 1 vs 1)
  • 252 SpA Empoleon Ice Beam vs. 244 HP / 200+ SpD Gliscor: 320-380 (90.9 - 107.9%) -- 50% chance to OHKO (the opposite Gliscor can think it can OHKO you with STAB Earthquake, but now the opposite happens)
  • 252 SpA Empoleon Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 8 SpD Defensive Landorus-T: 420-496 (109.9 - 129.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
  • 252 SpA Empoleon Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Thundurus: 212-250 (70.9 - 83.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (useful because Thundurus can simply click for Thunderbolt and not Thunder Wave thinking to KO Empoleon)
  • 252 SpA Empoleon Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Mega Diancie: 480-568 (199.1 - 235.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO or even 252 SpA Empoleon Scald vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Mega Diancie: 240-284 (99.5 - 117.8%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
  • 252 SpA Empoleon Scald/Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Terrakion: 254-302 (78.6 - 93.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Someone took the agility set from dpp analysis but I can't do the same?
That's the DPP analysis, meaning its not applicable to the ORAS metagame--making it okay; you literally posted the standard ORAS set, which isn't the purpose of the thread.

Small nitpick---I think just running max speed is best since Lando spreads tend to vary a bit, so max Timid would give you highest chance to outspeed.

Empoleon @ Salac Berry
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 12 HP / 244 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Flash Cannon
- Ice Beam
- Substitute

this set is really fun to use, with salac and substitute can activate Torrent making his shots even more lethal, i choose Hydro pump because hit hard , ice beam for dragons, mainly latios, garchomp, mega latias, and flash cannon to deal with clefable, mega garde, and for Kyurem-b

Empoleon @ Focus Sash | Shuca Berry
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest | Timid Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Hydro Pump
- Aqua Jet
- Grass Knot | Ice Beam

This is a crappy variation of the DPP Empoleon lead set with a few differences. Firstly, I changed the EVs to maximum Speed because the original one did not allow Empoleon to outspeed Landorus-T, which could just OHKO it with Earthquake, so going for maximum Speed allows it to outspeed and OHKO it instead with Ice Beam, but outspeed some other Pokemon as well. I also used a Timid nature because without one, Empoleon is one point behind 220, which is what defensive Lando-T usually runs, meaning it doesn't outspeed it. Grass Knot 2HKOes Suicune and Slowbro after Stealth Rock damage whereas Ice Beam takes out Landorus-T, a threat to Empoleon. Shuca Berry can be used, as it helps Empoleon tank an Earthquake, get Stealth Rock down, and then take Lando-T out. Chople Berry can also be used to counter Tornadus-T--there's lots of items you can run so just go wild :)

The Winner of Week 31 is actually a tie which goes to Recreant's Shuca Berry, and FrozenCold's Choice Specs Empoleon! Congratz for entering the Hall of Fame!

The Pokemon for Week 32 is Aggron!
/

I saw Mega Aggron at C Rank in the Viability Rankings wondering what movesets that it could perform in the OU Tier. Mega Aggron is a very bulky Pokemon and while gaining Mega Evolution causes it to lose it's Rock typing. It has a vast movepool being able to have multiple moves to give it coverage.

Offensive SR MAggron

Aggron @ Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 244 Atk / 12 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide / Avalanche
- Stealth Rock

This set's purpose is as a bulky glue for offensive teams, handling threats such as Azumarill, Weavile, Bisharp, Mega Metagross, non-Earth Power Mega Diancie, and even Talonflame if it carries Rock Slide, since Flare Blitz only does 35% at most. It does this while also maintaining good offensive presence thanks to its solid coverage and natural power, and acting as as a SR setter, a role which can be hard to fill on offense, especially when you want to run something like Dual Dance Landorus−T or Sub SD Garchomp and you don't want to stack weaknesses. Works particularly well vs offense since it can take a hit from almost any offensive Pokemon and deal massive damage back (for example, it beats both Air Balloon and Life Orb Excadrill 1v1). SpD EVs avoid an OHKO from MZam from full in case you're wondering.

Aggron-Mega @ Aggronite
Ability: Filter
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Impish Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Curse
- Rest
- Sleep Talk / Dragon Tail

This set is a wincon for defensive teams that takes advantage of aggrons good attack stat and out of this world defense to become a potent offensive and defensive threat in only one turn. Rest is for recovery obviously, sleep talk is to move while youre asleep. Dragon tail is an option over sleep talk to phaze pokemon that try to set up on aggron. Dragon tail is better than roar on this set as it already poses an incredible threat to fairy types as it is, so they wont be setting up on it.

The Impish nature lets aggron avoid the 3hko from mega lop, but careful can work too i guess. Max HP and spdef for obvious reasons.
