Relicanth @ Wacan Berry
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 84 HP / 252 Atk / 20 SpD / 152 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rock Polish
- Waterfall
- Head Smash
- Earthquake

Relicanth has an unfortunately low Special Defense stat; however, it has just enough to pull off a Wacan Berry set. Thunderbolts from common electric-types in PU do about 60% on average with Wacan, which gives you a nice opportunity to set up a rock polish. From there, you can tear through offense with the combination of Head Smash, Waterfall, and Earthquake. Earthquake is here to have a way to consistently OHKO the electrics you set up on, as it is more reliable than Head Smash. Here are some defensive calcs:

252 SpA Life Orb Zebstrika Thunderbolt vs. 84 HP / 20 SpD Wacan Berry Relicanth: 191-226 (52.7 - 62.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Electrode Thunderbolt vs. 84 HP / 20 SpD Wacan Berry Relicanth: 208-247 (57.4 - 68.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Raichu Thunderbolt vs. 84 HP / 20 SpD Wacan Berry Relicanth: 207-243 (57.1 - 67.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Ampharos Thunderbolt vs. 84 HP / 20 SpD Wacan Berry Relicanth: 306-361 (84.5 - 99.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

And Earthquake OHKOes all of these mons with Stealth Rocks up (except Ampharos, which is bulky af.)

However, something to take note of is that all of these mons can OHKO with some form of coverage (Raichu's Focus Blast, Zebstrika's/Electrode's Hidden Power Grass.)
Luckily, the PU ladder isn't so cancerous that people will try to style on you by landing all of their inaccurate moves, and HP Grass isn't that common with HP Ice being so popular. You also have to weaken bulky Grass-types like Tangela as well, but that's true of any Relicanth set.

In summary, this is a nice little Relicanth that sets up on the electric-types you would think would force it out.

Relicanth @ Chople Berry
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Head Smash
- Rock Polish
- Waterfall
- Zen Headbutt

Lures Monferno early game if you think you won't sweep later in the match, helps with Mach Punch against said Pokemon, does very well against Stoutland.
Zen Headbutt is also cool to get extra on Machoke since i don't like EQ.

Relicanth @ Leftovers / Lum Berry
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 156 Def / 104 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Scald
- Rock Tomb
- Toxic / Rest

A Mixed Defenses set that lets it survive a Thunderbolt from Zebstrika while still tanking against physical attackers. Rock Tomb slows down faster attackers that switch in. Stealth Rocks are easier to set up if an opponent switches out due to Rock Tomb

252+ Atk Life Orb Monferno Close Combat vs. 248 HP / 156+ Def Relicanth: 257-304 (63.7 - 75.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Zebstrika Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 104 SpD Relicanth: 338-400 (83.8 - 99.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Relicanth @ Leftovers
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Head Smash
- Earthquake
- Waterfall / Aqua Tail
- Yawn

I thought Yawn would be an interesting option on Relicanth, and it actually seems pretty viable! Relicanth can use Yawn to force switches, which is a quality that is greatly appreciated. With this, Reli can somewhat handle its checks and counters. The rest of the moveset is its standard offensive moveset, with Head Smash dealing lots of damage while a foe is asleep (if they decide to stay in). Overall, Yawn acts as a unique tool for Reli that can definitely surprise foes.

If sleep lands-
52 Atk Relicanth Head Smash vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Meganium: 190-225 (52.1 - 61.8%) -- 98% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Relicanth Head Smash vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Avalugg: 222-264 (56.4 - 67.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Relicanth Head Smash vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Bouffalant: 199-235 (50.6 - 59.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

However, this is assuming they do not switch.

If a move lands on switch-
252 Atk Relicanth Head Smash vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Jumpluff: 510-600 (175.2 - 206.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Relicanth Head Smash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Zebstrika: 279-328 (95.8 - 112.7%) -- 75% chance to OHKO
so much head smash

Relicanth @ Choice Band
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Waterfall
- Head Smash
- Zen Headbutt
- DoubleEdge/Earthquake

A Banded Head Smash offers you 2HKos that are not possible with items such as Stone Plate and makes Relicanth a nightmare for defensive teams that rely on Tangela or Gourgeist-Super as their check:

252+ Atk Choice Band Relicanth Head Smash vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Gourgeist-Super: 196-232 (52.4 - 62%) -- 98.8% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ Atk Choice Band Relicanth Head Smash vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Tangela: 136-162 (40.7 - 48.5%) -- 67.2% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252+ Atk Choice Band Relicanth Head Smash vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Quilladin: 156-184 (47.8 - 56.4%) -- 85.9% chance to 2HKO

As you can see, these 2Hkos are not possible to achieve with a Stone Plate.

As for usage tips, against defensive teams just bring Relicanth in and click HeadSmash and nuke everything, Waterfall and EQ/DoubleEdge are kinda fodder while Zen Headbutt hits Machoke harder than any other move.

Oh and this thing can still do work against offensive teams with the right support (sticky web, tailwind...)

isnt cb reli standard?

Not standard per-say but fairly underrated it has been getting more popularity lately however but Aqua Tail isnt the 4th slot it generally uses that usually goes to something like Double-Edge.Earthquake or Stealth Rock.

Edit @Below is is actually in Other Options at the bottom of its analysis

Just because it's not on the main analysis doesn't mean it is really a Next Best Thing worthy set. Both Yawn Reli and CB Reli are too standard to be posted here in my opinion

Relicanth @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Head Smash
- Earthquake
- Waterfall / Aqua Tail
- Double Edge

Do you hate how slow Reli is? Well... A Scarf and a Jolly nature, while still not fast enough to outspeed the whole meta, it can reach 343 Speed which is over positive natured base 106... Meaning it can still outspeed a few troubling things like Simis, Rapidash (to destroy it before it burns) Cryo and Kadabra...

Head Smash will still be hitting hard enough to make it scary against some offensive or supporting Bulkymons:
* 252 Atk Relicanth Head Smash vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Leafeon: 153-180 (56.4 - 66.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
* 252 Atk Relicanth Head Smash vs. 152 HP / 104 Def Gourgeist-Small: 147-174 (50.8 - 60.2%) -- 86.7% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery (Sub Seed Gourgeist S)
* 252 Atk Relicanth Head Smash vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Grumpig: 271-319 (74.4 - 87.6%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

So... I think it might work xD

See ya!
