Okay due to the downtime I'm just going to extend voting for around 20 hours since there weren't many votes. So keep voting y'all. :)

okay w/e I give up I'm posting this in case Smogon goes down again. It was basically a war with NU's current and NU's ex-leader, however current takes the crown (even with including tennisace's vote for himself!)

Missy (Misdreavus) (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 220 Def / 40 Spe
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Mean Look
- Perish Song
- Confuse Ray
- Protect

[23:54] <skylight> you can

GSC set from eons ago. Basically it's just Perish Trapping to eliminate an enemy, but you use Confuse Ray and Protect to get free turns to take minimal damage before you switch out. EVs for Missy are standard with 40 Spe outspeeding Rampardos and slower and 248 HP and 220 Def giving it the optimal physical bulk. With Nasty Plot + Inferno not being legal and therefore making Demon Missy not usable, I had to go with this :]. Shout out to RoyalFlush for using this during SPL and sniping a Roar Raikou thanks to confusion. (iirc. tennisbum will need to confirm)

Misdreavus @ Eviolite
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Substitute / Protect
- Curse
- Shadow Ball
- Pain Split

Basically this set is used to kill... well, anything. Whatever wants to switch into it will get 25% of their HP taken away each turn, which can really screw over some pokemon. Pain Split is useful for recovering the HP lost by using Substitute and Curse, with the added effect of draining the foe's HP at the same time. Protect can be used over Substitute to help drain the opponent's HP faster, but there are pros and cons of each which I'm sure everyone should know already, so it's your choice which you use.

So yeah good set vote for me whoop

Misdreavus@Eviolite
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 36 HP / 236 SAtk / 236 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Taunt
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Will-O-Wisp

I use always this set in LC, but has a good result even in NU. It can used as leader team, thanks a sufficient speed (with timid Nature), with a decent combo like Taunt/Will-O-Wisp against SR; Shadow Ball is classic STAB move, so Thunderbolt is most powerful, with decent neutral coverage with SB.

Misdreavus @ Eviolite
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 220 Def / 40 Spe
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Pain Split
- Will-o-Wisp
- Magic Coat

I was running this Misdreavus awhile ago and it was pretty effective. A lot of Pokemon few Misdreavus as hazard fodder so they'll attempt to set up Spikes or Stealth Rock in front of it. They are very easy to predict as most of them can't damage Missy otherwise. It can also reflect Toxic's aimed at Missy back onto things like Alomomola. It can also reflect Taunt onto Skuntank so you can burn it, that is risky though. So Magic Coat is a pretty cool move on Missy and a solid choice for the 4th move.

hi, this is a Misdreavus I used to use a lot
I'll tell you about it sometime soon

Misdreavus @ Eviolite | Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spe | Bold Nature
Shadow Ball / Will-O-Wisp / Taunt | Pain Split / Destiny Bond

For the record, I ran Taunt, but Pain Split's a chill move.

Basically, the idea of this set is giving up a bit of vitality in order to beat out Misdreavus's checks and counters. Since Misdreavus is easy enough to wear down as it is, Destiny Bond is a last ditch effort to take out your foe that would otherwise give your team problems. The reason why Misdreavus runs Destiny Bond so well is simple: it has great Speed for a bulky Ghost-type, and no one really expects it to run the move. It's not like Haunter or Drifblim where your opponent will try to scout for it/play around it. Most people get so fed up with Misdreavus and the fact that it doesn't even die that they'll just keep attacking it until it does. Moreover, Skuntank, which otherwise poses a pretty huge problem, even if it is burned, can be disposed of quickly this way. It definitely comes with advantages and disadvantages over the standard set, but one thing it definitely does it beats it counters.

Misdreavus @ Eviolite
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Spd / 252 Def
Bold Nature
- Substitute
- Pain Split
- Shadow Ball
- Will-O-Wisp

Not really very much inspiration, I always just got sick of being toxiced by Wartortle while spinblocking. As spinblocking is the main goal of Missy, living is a big deal, and I am not a fan of clerics. I think that SubSplit Misdreavus is the best spinblocker in the current NU. Feel free to change some HP EV's to speed to creep on whatever you please. Sorry for little details, I'm literally about to leave on my trip. :)

Misdreavus @ Eviolite
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
-Nasty Plot
-Destiny Bond
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt/Hidden Power Fighting

Nasty Plot Misdreavus is not used very often anymore and it can catch opponents off guard easily. This Missy can muscle it's way through the opponent's team while still maintaining good bulk and hitting decent/good-ish speed. Shadow Ball is for obvious STAB and Tbolt and HP fighting are your main coverage. Destiny Bond is a great fuck you for slower mons and if your opponent is faster you pull one out if you are at low health and it will make your opponent hesitate. Sometimes ending up not killed since they make a bad play and still taking out the opponent.

Misdreavus @ Eviolite
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 124 HP / 252 SpA / 136 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt / Taunt
- Memento

Since Misdreavus usually draws Pokemon like Charizard or Ludicolo on the field, this set aims to prevent it from being considered setup fodder to the aforementioned Pokemon while also supporting its own team members from setting up, like Carracosta or Samurott. This set also serves another purpose, to break down walls with accumulated boosts from Nasty Plot while still serving as a secondary check to certain physical attackers like Scolipede and Primeape thanks to its decent bulk with the added EVs. The Speed EVs are to outspeed Modest Ludicolo and anything lower. Taunt is slashed because Pokemon that Misdreavus can't touch with its STAB are going to be crippled heavily by Memento; Thunderbolt allows it to hit Swellow hard without resulting into knocking itself out with Memento.

Misdreavus @ Eviolite
Ability: Levitate
Evs: 252 HP, 252 defense, 4 speed
Torment
Will-o-wisp/Mean look
Foul Play
Protect
Torment is an underrated move, especially on ghost types. Misdreavus can Torment a switch, and when Samurott gets Protected on Waterfall and is forced to use a weak Megahorn as you Burn him, it can get annoying. You can speed creep on this set, but I prefer maximum bulk.

Misdreavus @ Eviolite
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 32 SAtk / 24 Spd
Modest Nature
- Substitute
- Pain Split
- Thunder Wave
- Hex

This misdreavus set combines SubSplit and T-Wave + Hex.
The way it works is, you set up a sub on a predicted switch / status thing like toxic or twave, and then you paralyze the foe (or you could just paralyze them if you know they won't be doing damage to you.) Then you keep subbing down till you can 1) effectively pain split or 2) get the lucky parahax, whereafter you use hex, which is now even more powerful than shadow ball, since it is 50*2 after the paralyzation, hitting 100 Base Power and 150 after STAB

This set has worked quite well for me, and if you get lucky with some full paralyzation, you can beat a massive handful of pokemon one on one.

When it comes to counters, there are plenty though :( Ground types are immune to T-wave, and then can't be hit as hard by hex, and Normal types cannot be killed. Though it has it's counters, it not only works well by itself, but provides some support for the team. Paralyzing fast special threats that like to switch in on Missy can be very useful for later on.

The EV spread and nature allows Missy to maintain good, balanced bulk in both stats, while being able to do good damage to opposing pokemon. 252 / 200 / 0 allows Missy to reach bulk of 324 HP and 309 in both defenses after Eviolite. A little speed creeping, because speed creeping is important. The rest goes to SAtk to hit stuff a bit harder :]

All the annoying features of SubSplit Missy-D, now with an even more powerful STAB move and paralysis ^_^
