Heatran and Ninetails are a nightmare for most hail teams. This set makes them both cry. Predict their switch-in and use Icy Wind (Also important for breaking potential balloons!) and smack them with an eathquake.

252 Atk Abomasnow (+Atk) Earthquake vs 252 HP/0 Def Heatran: 93,26% - 110,88% (62,5% chance to OHKO)

252 Atk Abomasnow (+Atk) Earthquake vs 0 HP/0 Def Ninetales: 83,62% - 98,95% (2 hits to KO)

Enough speed to outspeed 96 spe Timid Ninetails after the Icy Wind drop. You can, of course put more speed evs if you wanna outspeed max speed Ninetails but who runs that anyway..
Ice Shard or Protect is a matter of preference. Both are equally viable. Oh and you can use an expert belt for certain KOs but I like the increased longevity.
 
I don't see Icy wind having too much use in that set, you're better off going straight for the EQ.. Icy wind just gives them a chance to switch.

Specially Defensive Christmas Tree is definitely a real thing. It puts jack over all those stupid Politoed's, takes on Dragonite like a troll, and destroys bulky water-types which are so prominent in this metagame. Blizzard hits like truck and can give Ferrothorn a beating who is immune to Leech Seed. Since this set can stall out lots of things, it's great for weakening things for a late-game sweep. Hidden Power [Ground] Volcarona loves this for example because Abomasnow can destroy Salamence and Dragonite who wall Volcarona's coverage and Volcarona destroys Heatran with HP Ground which is Abamosnow's worst enemy. This set will definitely be more effective if Keldeo is gone, since rain teams have only a few tricks up their sleeves to get got rid of the Frostbite.

Physical Aboma, protect being main option since it allows you to ease prediction against scizor (like hes gonna SD on a non lefties 'snow). SAtk EVs allow for you to OHKO scizor after 1 protect 100% of the time, while still having enough speed and attack EVs to outspeed common BandTar set, and uninvested toed. also has 50% chance to OHKO def politoed and 81.25% chance to OHKO 180/0 TTar.

Edit: Just noticed almost same set is on the website, oh well this has slightly different EVs to reflect on HP fire and speed creep from TTar. Hilariously the websites set is outpaced by toed with 4 speed while only tieing 0 speed.

Disregard set for voting then, perhaps websites set should be updated to match this set.
 
No Rain Dance sets anywhere? Aww, c'mon guys. Abomasnow is an excellent rain abuser.

I really can't come up with a legitimate good set for Abominationsnow, but I would like to point out that voting probably should've started. We don't want this thread to die, do we?
 
i don't want to "stole" this thread to my bro joeyboy but if you guys want (and if mods give me the approvation) i can host this thread for a while, at least until joeyboy gets back (he's active but seems he forgot this thread).
 
Wow I'm really sorry. I could've sworn I had posted here before now.

I'm actually really busy at the moment so certain things have had to been put off: this thread and my smog writings. Anyway I'll be busy for the next couple weeks so if alexander. Wants to continue it till then he has my full blessing :)

Sorry again, I must have dreamt I made this post instead of making it, good to know I'm dreaming about posting on smogon 0_o
 
George Eliot, from experience after protecting every good play switches out expecting hp fire or WH, this set just wrecks everything that would switch in.
