The Official "Complain about being beat by Seattle Defense" Thread

that team is pretty dang solid, daniel tomas is weak but waiver wire and boom u got a new guy

my team is very different from years past.

first year with no MJD and it makes me sad.

he was there when i picked, but i just don't think he's a smart pick this year.

I'm slightly nervous about my money league team. I'm taking a LOT of risks, but if most of them work out I feel like I should win the league.

As you can see, I have most of the high risk, enormous potential players in the NFL lol. Newton, Jackson, Richardson, Lynch...haha...I'm nervous.

And yes, I got Tebow as a joke with my last pick.

ESPN Money League. Ya and this year our commish decided to let it be a 16 team league... -_-. Let's just say w/ the 13th pick is was brutal....

10vBa

and then Smogon League B (MJD is only sitting temporarily until week 1 gets closerrr)
10vDn

Our money league teams are pretty similar! We both have Newton and Lynch. Let's hope they kill it this season haha

how does this even happen haha you must be terrible at drafting!!!

Scobee is a good kicker, but he's also on a miserable team and probably won't be getting you many points.

well first off, the Jags are going to do much better thisyear than most people think.

second off, Scobee has a tremendous leg, so even if a drive fizzles out he can still make points from 45 yards out easily.

Here are my two fantasy teams. Both are 10 team leagues, the first team I list will be from Smogon B league and the second team will be a league that I'm in with some friends!

Smogon B League:

QB: Cam Newton
WR: Hakeem Nicks
WR: Dez Bryant
WR: Miles Austin
RB: Matt Forte
RB: Steven Jackson
TE: Jermichael Finley
Flex: Rashad Jennings (assuming MJD's holdout lasts)
K: Justin Tucker
DEF: Houston

BN: Robert Griffin III
BN: Donald Brown
BN: CJ Spiller
BN: Malcom Floyd
BN: Lance Moore
BN: Jacob Tamme
BN: Mikel LeShoure
BN: Laurent Robinson

My bench for this team doesn't really excite me, but one of my fantasy talents has been finding really good players off the waiver wire so hopefully that + my starting strength (I think I have one of the strongest starting lineups in the league assuming health) will get me a good season.

Friends League:

QB: Tony Romo
WR: Greg Jennings
WR: Dez Bryant
WR: Torrey Smith
RB: Arian Foster
RB: Ahmad Bradshaw
TE: Jimmy Graham
Flex: Darren Sproles
K: Matt Bryant
DEF: Jets

BN: Joe Flacco
BN: Ben Tate
BN: David Wilson
BN: Kenny Britt
BN: Greg Little
BN: Jacob Tamme

Yeah I like this team a bit more, mainly because of the bench. I've got possibly the two best handcuffs in the fantasy game for my RB's and I have a few high upside players that could easily outperform their ADP for me this season in Kenny Britt and Greg Little.

What do you guys think of my teams? Man I'm excited for fantasy :)

Edit: How deep is your league Deschain? Michael Bush and Rashad Jennings as your two primary starters doesn't really look good in 12 team or less leagues!

Love the starters for league B, but like you said there aren't many exciting players on your bench... I love Brown, and Floyd/Moore/RG3/Spiller should be decent, but as it stands I don't see them making a big impact on your team.

In both leagues, I feel like Tamme is unnecessary because you have one elite and one above average starter. I've never liked the idea of holding either a backup TE or QB unless I had an injury risk at QB (I'd grab one behind Romo, Vick, and Peyton) or TE was an option at flex (though lots of standard leagues have added that this year) but I guess he does have some sleeper potential.

The bench on your second team is much better, though the starters are a little less so. Even if it's not PPR, you should consider leaving Sproles in as your 2nd RB if you want to run someone else out of the flex spot.

well first off, the Jags are going to do much better thisyear than most people think.

I've got them down for 1-7 over the first 8 games... are you implying they could go 2-6???

Lol....you're riding your fantasy chances on the Cowboys training staff?

You can't ever assume good health otherwise I could've done a draft and picked like...

R1 Darren McFadden
R2 Andre Johnson
R3 Ryan Mathews
R4 Michael Vick

Healthy that 4 person line up can put up about 80-90 points a week -_______-

Welp, draft was last night for my 12 man league. I want the fuckin trophy this year. I have a nice place for it in my room.

It's a keeper league first off. And also I held off until round 9 getting a QB since most were taken right when I would try and get one. I was pick 2 on the snake draft.

QB Ben Roethlisberger
WR Brandon Marshall
WR Marques Colston
RB LeSean McCoy
RB DeMarco Murray
TE Aaron Hernandez
W/R Reggie Wayne
K Rob Bironas
DEF Seattle (my last over all pick, did decent last year...but not a top tier, but idrc)

BN Andrew Luck (11th round, could be a good keeper)
BN Cedric Benson
BN Kenny Britt
BN Michael Floyd
BN Jacob Tamme
BN I was 1 second late on draft and it drafted me someone who was injured, so I had to drop and will prob get Ronnie Hillman of Denver as another back up RB.

That is extremely solid, I expect you to go far in that league if you don't win it all outright. Not a single starter is a filler there!

Just saying, Stallion may be paper champs, but my starting lineup will far outscore his I guarantee it ;)

Well here's my team for my ESPN 8 team league (yes I know 8 teams makes getting good players so much easier):

QB Eli Manning
RB Jamaal Charles
RB Darren Sproles
WR Calvin Johnson
WR Larry Fitzgerald
TE Antonio Gates
FLEX Steve Smith
D/ST Texans
K Stephen Gostkowski
BENCH Benjarvus Green-Ellis
BENCH Steve Johnson
BENCH Jay Cutler
BENCH Michael Bush
BENCH Fred Davis
BENCH Cowboys D/ST
BENCH Garrett Hartley

We all agreed to get backup kickers and defenses.

@ Stone. There was very little value in those spots compared to these three, especially Jackson - unless I wanted to roll with Ahmad Bradshaw I didn't really have much of a choice at RB2. Gotta take risks sometimes to put yourself in a winning position!
