Discussion about Tough Claws Drapion is now over, thanks for the participation. This slate will include the suggestions that made it to the second place on the past 4 voting stages. Here is our slate:
- Simple Slowking (Chesnaught)
- Water / Fairy Milotic (Sevifar)
- Drizzle Bronzong (Minnakht)
- Psychic / Normal Reuniclus (Magma)
You have 24 hours to vote. Only vote for one theorymon, and the theorymon with the most votes wins. Don't forget to bold your votes, otherwise they won't count. In the case of a tie, we will vote again for the two theorymon that tied, with another day time limit. Start voting!
And here is the competitive merit behind each theorymon:
Simple Slowking: Trick Room + Nasty Plot can act as both a terrifying sweeper and wallbreaker, and physically defensive with Calm Mind and Slack Off combine utility with sweeping potential.
Water / Fairy Milotic: Not much to say here other than a single list of what Milotic checks or counters with this new typing: Mega Charizard X, Keldeo, Latios, Latias, Greninja, Dragonite, Mega Gyarados, Terrakion, Conkeldurr.
Drizzle Bronzong: Bronzong would be the perfect Pokemon to make balanced rain teams really viable again, with its useful defensive typing and good support options, such as Stealth Rock, Trick Room, and dual screens.
Psychic / Normal Reuniclus: This addition would allow Reuniclus to counter any Aegislash except from Iron Head + SD sets. Being so slow actually helps Reuniclus in this case, allowing it to hit Aegislash in its Sword Forme and OHKO it with Shadow Ball. Countering Gengar is great too. Also, with this new typing, Reuniclus might find some use for its other great but often overlooked ability, Regenerator, to act as a bulky tank that can counter Aegislash, hit hard, and set up Trick Room for itself and its teammates to take advantage of.
