Challenge The Scramble Challange

Status
Not open for further replies.
I saw something about this randomly while searching something up on leaf green. I wanted a challenge to try out.

game: soul silver
Rules: no useless pokemon. trading is allowed only for evolution or to recieve an egg for an otherwise unobtainable pokemon, although i would like things to be kept as ingame as possible. team must not have a starter and must have at least one water type with surf and not be gyarados or lapras. must not have any evolution restrictions that are based on soloing a certain trainer thus evolving after chuck is ok although evolving only after soloing chuck is not. i would like to have it so i cannot use items at all on one pokemon but can on the rest. anyone have anything for me?

Edit: every pokemon must have at least one attacking move.

the pokemon:
shiny gyarados from lake of rage: has fire blast, thunder, blizzard, and surf
Must solo kill 4 gym leaders

Charge the Lanturn: has charge and stockpile at final (although it doesn't learn charge till lv 57)
can't hold any items
can only learn one tm/hm throughout the entire game

Regret the Dratini/Dragonair
can't evolve to dragonite
can only learn dragon type moves
must solo clair's kingdra

Green Day the Slowpoke:
Slowpoke is the epitome of Americans, as it is lazy, slow, and rather unintelligent. Its final moveset must be:

Laziness: Rest / Slack Off
Slowness: Yawn / Rain Dance (because rain is depressing to Americans)
Fatness: Substitute / Light Screen (TV, get it? hahaha)
Stupidity: Amnesia / Attract (because the only Americans who consistently attract other people are on street corners)

You may have noticed that this entire movepool consists of status moves. Now, as much as Americans care about status, they care more about power. As such, you may replace one move up there for every five Gym Trainers Slowpoke solos. However, every new move you use must have 120 or higher base power (including STAB), and it may not apply this cop-out until it knows (simultaneously) one move each from two of the above categories. It may not evolve until it has learned one move from each category at some point. Name it Green Day.

Memphis the Umbreon:
Take Memphis the Snea-- excuse me, I meant to say Umbreon. It must immediately evolve from Bill's Eevee. Memphis, being rather fond of the real-world city, wants to emulate Memphis as much as possible. As such, it must know four moves, each one representing something about Memphis:

Gang Wars: Mean Look/Moonlight/Swagger
Murder: Toxic/Payback/Dig
Prostitution: Attract (if female) or Captivate (if male)/Tail Whip
Bipolar Weather: Sunny Day/Rain Dance

It must also KO Morty's Gengar. (KO or solo?)

RandomEgg the togepi
able to have 1 damaging attack, 2 non damaging attacks, and metronome
must solo a gym leader's pokemon with metronome before the elite 4

sounds like fun.

I propose signature challenges among those who have them. Your first is the Shiny Gyarados, which must know Fire Blast/Thunder/Blizzard/Surf. It must get it by the Pokemon league, the first time. It must also solo four gyms.

Reserved for benlarson. Will come back in a few minutes with a challenge.

EDIT: You get Charge the Lanturn. It must know & keep Stockpile & Charge. It may not hold any items at all & you may only give it one TM/HM in the entire game.

Have fun.

DOUBLE EDIT: I now have a signature challenge for FR/LG: King Odin the Nidoking...

EDIT: Hmmm... Signature Challenge eh? I've decided to have my SigAnge stolen from someone, to be specific Treadshot A1. This was my first ever received Scramble Challenge...

Um, have fun at the Goldenrod Game Corner place, Igg. You have to buy a pokemon from there, the highest priced one. IIRC that's a Dratini. Guess what? Yours is defective. It can't grow arms or legs or wings. So it's stuck as a Dragonair. And also, it seems to have a glitch. It can't use anything but Dragon type moves. And it has to solo Clair's Kingdra, to prove that it is worthy to be a pokemon.

Name it "Regret".

@benlarson: You get a slightly altered GDS (Green Day Slowpoke).

It may not evolve until it has learned one move from each category at some point. Name it Green Day.

@benlarson: Edited my OP. Good Luck, Have Fun!

@Everybody else: Out of pure boredom, I've made a list my SigAnges (Signature+Challange. Creative, no?) thoughout the games.

R/B/Y:
Based off the Pidgey from this comic, Pidgey must learn and keep Gust and solo Erica. To evolve, it must solo 50 Zubats (trained or untrained), and to evolve again it must solo your rival's Squirtle/Wartortle/Blastoise 5 times.

G/S/C:
To maximise "WTF" factor among Pokemon, Wooper decides to learn the most WTF moveset ever! It must learn and keep a moveset of Ice Punch, Dynamic Punch, Amnesia and STAB of choice ASAP, and then must solo Jasmine and Clair to evolve and prove it's WTFness. After it evolves, the fact that Quagsire get arms is so WTF, it put the entire Pokemon community in WTF mode. To rub it in, Quagsire must solo 1 pokemon frrom each E4 member. After this happens, Quagsire proves once and for all that it, in fact, makes people say...

WTF!

R/S/E:
As a Whismar, it is afraid of everything, especially entering battle with other people. Due to this he/she is unsure of his special skills and is too scared to find out about them! In fact, it's especially afraid of loud sounds; it hurts his/her poor little ears:pirate:. However, one day Snookums evolves, and decides it’s not afraid to enter battle now! As he/she trains to get stronger, Loudrod builds confidence in himself, and when he evolves again, he is able to use his special skills. In fact, it loves them SO much, Exploud won't use anything but them! Sadly though, Snookums' fear of sound turns out to be a life long phobia, as such he/she will forever remain to be scared of them...

Recap:
  • Get a Timid Whismar, NN Snookums
  • As a Whismar: Can’t use STAB, can’t use or be hit by sound based moves (if you do get hit, you must ether switch out or use a healing item), cant enter trainer battles.
  • As a Loudrod: Can’t use or be hit by sound based moves, can’t use STAB.
  • As an Exploud: Can only use STAB moves, Cant use or be hit by sound based moves.

FR/LG:
Iggdrasil said:
Must learn and keep STAB moves and two "other" moves, one of them being Toxic, by Sabrina. It must solo Misty to evolve into Fearow, and then must solo Giovanii at Silph. Co. For the sake of it it must solo the entire Fighting Dojo.

D/P/Pt:
Iggdrasil said:
As the name suggests, he (yes, he.) must be caught as a Pikachu (unless breeding for Volt Tackle) and may only learn moves Ash's knew in the anime. As this IS Ash's Pikachu, it may never evolve into a Raichu. Your Pikachu must solo ether 10 rival pokemon after it is caught, or every GLMP (Gym Leader Main Pokemon, ie. Gardenia's Roserade, Candice's Abomasnow etc.) after it is caught. You are not retricted to this level of requirement however. If you solo every rival battle after it's caught or solo 3 gym battles after it's caught respectfully (Note: the GLMP solo requirement is still in place), the move retrictions above are lifted. Nickname "AORsON!" (Aim fOR the hOrN!)

HG/SS:
Blah. See above post.

And thats it!...

/pass's out/

EDIT @Atheno: Agreed.

@benlarson: Take Memphis the Snea-- excuse me, I meant to say Umbreon.

It must also KO Whitney's Miltank and Morty's Gengar.

I do belive you get Eevee after Whitney, but I could be mistaken. Correct me?

@ben you get the togepi egg, name it "RandomEgg". It must have 1 attack, metronome and 2 non damaging moves. You must solo atleast 1 gym leader pokemon with metronome before the E4.
Good luck.

ok i like my challenge quite a bit. a couple questions though.

1. how do i solo 5 gyms trainers with slowpoke to get an attacking move when i don't have one to start? (or can i use confusion?)

2. Is this gym trainers or gym leaders?

3. before they are able to get all moves am i able to use moves not given in the challenge (ie umbreon tackle or dratini thunderwave)

4. dratini can only use dragon attacks. does this include all attacks or only attacks that do damage?

5. I can use other pokemon before i am able to catch some of these others right? like start training cyndaquil until i am able to catch gyarados etc.

6. joy, i have two pokemon that evolve through happiness. am i allowed to send them to diamond (with like 800 hacked happiness berries) to evolve them and make the process quicker?

I really love the slowpoke challenge but i have to know something about how to solo 5 trainers besides struggle (either be allowed an attacking move in tackle or confusion or something maybe with limited uses or a status move that can do damage) or i will discard the challange. Slowpoke is the 3rd water type given on this team so i am even more wary of using it. if someone can give me a solution, i will take said challenge.

ok i like my challenge quite a bit. a couple questions though.

1. how do i solo 5 gyms trainers with slowpoke to get an attacking move when i don't have one to start? (or can i use confusion?)

The moves listed are its final moveset. You can use other moves (e.g., Confusion, Water Gun) until you can get those.

2. Is this gym trainers or gym leaders?

Gym Trainers. Asking you to solo ten Gym Leaders with Slowpoke is a little much.

I'll try to answer a couple questions.

4. The challange said for a dratini that could only use dragon type moves so you can only use dragon type moves, it should have twister and dragon rage when you get it so there shouldn't be any problems.

5. You will obviously need to use a starter at the begining but if I were you I would trade over some eggs of pokemon as I believe the first pokemon you can get in-game is the togepi (athenos was for the Lake of Rage red gyarados, not some random gyarados).

6. I can't answer for galladiator but since you said they were hacked berries you may not trade togepi, if you want you can trade over a soothe bell for togepi but no trading togepi.

And don't worry about 3 water types, it's a great type and the pokemon you got cover each others weaknesses nicely.

3. before they are able to get all moves am i able to use moves not given in the challenge (ie umbreon tackle or dratini thunderwave) Yes, unless the challenge says you can't, which in this case, you can use moves not mentioned until you get them.
Also, concerning signature challenges, I've made a discussion in the social group as advertised in my sig...If anyone checks there anymore. I've only included mine & Treadshot's signature challenges for the moment. Post there to have your signature challange included.

@ben: Same deal for me as far as the trading. I personally hate hacking, but it's your Scramble. If the berries were legit, I wouldn't mind, but since they're hacked, I'd rather you didn't.

As far as 3 goes, yes, you may. The restrictions I gave were for its final moveset (i.e. once Umb learns Toxic, it can't forget it unless you teach it Dig or Payback instead).

Taking scramble for Heartgold.no trading.

2.Tricky the Furret. It must know all Special moves from Ecruteak onwards.

3.get yourself a scyther, feel free to change ur ds day stuff to bug catching days and reset untill u have a successful run to get a scyther. This scyther hates hurting pokemon and thus may never directly knock out an opposing pokemon. Indirect attacks are ok through toxic or confusion* etc and he may weaken opponents with pursuit, wing attack, etc for another team mate to ko but he may not knock out the opponent. False swipe will be invaluable here i would think. and feel free to evolve into scizor after the 7th badge, which i believe is price (pryce?), the ice guy. the mahogony gym is the one im talking about.

4.You get Noxious the Drowzee, who must learn and keep Poison Gas. Noxious, for his/her terrible smell is shunned by the rest of your party, unfortunately. To try and overcome this, he/she tries to be as helpful to the party's adventure as possible, both in combat and in the field. And so, it learns both Flash and Strength, and soloes three Gym Leader Pokémon of your choiuce. Its fourth move is up to you. However, by the time you reach the Elite Four, he party is used to Noxious' odour, and accept him/her with open arms. D'aww. As such, you may delete Strength and Flash, and replace them with other moves of your choice. Have fun! (Evolution is whenever you want.)

5.Miltank. it may only know Normal moves and must know Substitute (youll thank me later). Solo two of lances Dragonite.

6.totodile. This totodile wants to be the greatest water type ever but has noticed that gyarados is used much more than feraligatr, so it must prove that feraligatr is the better of the 2 and solo all the important gyaras in the storyline (clair's, lance's, blue's and the Lake of Rage red gyarados). I'll be nice and give you a move that hits gyara for SE damage, unfortuneately the only 1 you can get early game is rock tomb so you're stuck with that until pewter city when you may replace it with rock slide. Now since that really hasn't proven to anyone that feraligatr is vastly superior to gyara, as a feraligatr the other 3 moves must also be learnable by gyarados, but you can't use waterfall because that would be way too easy. Lastly since it appears you didn't get many solo requirements have totodile solo any gym leaders main pokemon to evolve, and any gym leader to evolve a second time.
Recap time.
-Totodile.
-Must learn rock tomb ASAP and may not get rid of it until pewter when it can learn rock slide.
-To evolve the first time have it solo any GLMP and to evolve the second time solo any gym leader.
-Once a feraligatr it must learn 3 moves gyara can learn, and no waterfall!
-Solo all 4 important gyaras, clair's, lance's, blue's and LoR.
Good luck.

@Gyarados Master: I'm lazy, so take the same challenge I gave benlarson.

EDIT: Three "Memphis" challenges in a row. Lolz.

I'll give a challenge as well. might be somewhat tough. get yourself a scyther, feel free to change ur ds day stuff to bug catching days and reset untill u have a successful run to get a scyther.

* confusion means the status of confusion. scyther learns swagger through tm. according to serebii, the tm is at the light house.
