Challenge The Scramble Challange

Status
Not open for further replies.
So, I will coinflip out the following solo mons:

For Ruby, take a Lotad. This Lotad is confused about whether or not its a grass or water type, so it may only know moves from one of those types.(It can still know other typed moves.) May evolve once after Brawley, and again after Norman. (TalkingLion)
Plan if chosen: Rain Dance +Water Type Moves abuse.

You get Decision the Shroomish. If it decides not to evolve, it cannot have items used on it. It can only be evolved after a gym leader battle. When it is evolved, it cannot use status moves. Either way, it cannot flee from two consecutive wild Pokémon battles. (Newby N00B)
Plan if chosen: Evolve ASAP. Teach it a fricking ton of coverage moves.

SHinyskarmory. For Ruby you can have this Tentacool called inb45. As this thinks that it is gen 5 it starts to speculate about the ability it will get from DW. Obviously catch it in Dewford town. If you solo a Gym on the first try ignore the restriction for that gym for the rest of the run, if not it stays.

Before you beat Brawly it thinks that it will have Pickup, so during this period it may not hold any items.
Watson: it thinks it will have Adaptability. Because of this it may only use STAB moves for these levels
Flannery: it thinks it will have No Guard. Because of this it may only use <100% accurate moves during this time
Norman: it thinks it will have Tinted Lens. Because of this it must solo 10 pokemon with a move that that pokemon resists

You may now evolve it.

Winona: it thinks it will have Serene Grace. Because of this it may only use moves that have a secondary effect.
Tate & Liza: it thinks it will have Truant. Because of this it must use a status move or an item every other turn
Wallace: it thinks it will have Speed Boost. Because of this it must Protect at the start of a battle and you must use a X-speed on it when it KOes a Pokemon
GL HF (pimpgangster)
Plan if chosen: Grind like FUCK to avoid getting smacked with some of the more annoying restrictions. (Pickup, Truant, Adaptability will make this solo extremely difficult if not impossible.)

Remember, any number of people may propose a solo runner. I'll just coin flip them out. Take Captain the Slakoth. It must evolve to Vigoroth as soon as possible, but never evolve into Slaking. It must learn Focus Punch by level up (and keep it) and beat Sidney using only it. Yell FALCON PUNCH! every time it (successfully) uses the move. (LockDown)
Plan if chosen: Grind like hell to beat Roxanne and Brawly. Pray that every mon on sidney's team misses when I use Falcon Punch.

take a nincada. name it "hitme." it must evolve after learning dig. it can not fight other nincadas or any of the pokes in its evolution line. when it evolves, make sure to have an empty slot in your team cuz u are going to use shedinja. if you want to use stabs on your shedinja, u must solo 20 pokemon in the desert. if you cannot achieve this, u may only have dig and other non-stab moves in ur arsenal. (bluemon)
Plan if chosen: Evolve to Shedinja immediately after Roxanne. Rape Brawly, Watson, and Norman (lol). Grind like FUCK to OHKO and outspeed everything against Winona, Flannery, Maxie, and Tate+Lisa, plus the entire E4. Equip Focus Band (lol)

Round 1:
Heads vs. Tails
Lotad vs. Shroomish

Tentacruel vs. Slakoth

Random Starter vs. Nincada

Results:
Lotad (2-1)
Slakoth (2-0)
Nincada
(2-1)
For the final elimination, each mon will get one flip, and the odd mon out wins. If all three get the same side, then there will be a reflip.
Round 2
Lotad (Heads)
Slakoth (Heads)
Nincada (Tails)

Nincada
named Hitme will be the solo runner. Thank you for putting forth pokemon!

ohmygosh :) Shedinja solo!! thankss RNG!

have fun!
I've already been planning. Roxanne will be a bitch. Dig will be useful against Flannery, but I'll still have to level enough to be able to OHKO every time. Brawly and Watson will be cakewalks (can't hurt me). Winona will be a bitch, because I have no SE way of hitting her and no resist. (more uber grinding) Tate and Lisa will be hard, even though i can just use my surf slave as my second mon. Maxie is also difficult. Wallace is meh. The E4's odd numbered members are easy, and their even numbered members are hard.

Actually, The Entire Elite 4 is going to be a pain with Shedinja. Sidney has Dark attacks while Phoboe has Ghost attacks. Glacia is going to be using Hail against you which will kill you and some of Drake's mons have Flamethrower or Crunch.(I think all of them might have 1 of the 2.) As Random said, good luck, you'll need lots of it in order to win.

LET'S DO THIS.

I should probably set down a few guidelines first.
-Nothing ridiculous. This is my first Scrambler, and I want to start out easy.
-They must be nicknamed, but keep it PG, please.
-All different types. There can be dual types, but those used in dual type pairings cannot be used again. (e.g., I can have a Swampert and a Camerupt, but then I cant have a Blaziken)
-Oh yeah, this is on Sapphire.

Matticus Maximus, take a Seviper. When Seviper learns a new move, it must replace the oldest move it knows. It may not learn any HM Moves. It must solo 5 Pokemon owned by a Gym Leader. Name it DeathAdder.

Have fun.

@Matticus: You get Ninja the Nincada. You must use Shedinja for this challenge. Have it solo Wattson, Norman, Tate&Liza.

Also, sorry for butting in, but...

We need 1 more person for the Scramble Premier League 4! If you have missed the deadline but still would like to participate, please inform me ASAP by PM! Do remember to join the social group(link is in my sig!)

Okay MM, since this is my 1k, catch the first Ralts you see and nickname it "Glldtr". This Ralts is a physical representation of my career on Smogon. It starts off being a bit of a noob, so for the first six levels after you catch it, it must stay in at least three consecutive turns in every Trainer battle, and may not use any damaging moves. Then it gets interested in something called the Scramble Challange, which essentially involves giving out semi-random Pokemon. Therefore, it must now solo Pokemon from at least ten different evolution families. After doing this, it may evolve. At this point, it tries to get involved by writing C&C articles for the site, with varying degrees of success. Therefore, it must use ten different moves at least five times each, to try and develop useful strategies for competitive battles. It also tries to get involved in mafia games, but fails epically and is almost completely turned off of them as a result. So from this point, Glldtr must never be used against Team Aqua. After the next gym, Glldtr may evolve once more. It has gotten involved in CAP ASB, and has begun to greatly value teamwork, so it must never be the first out. Lastly, it is hopeful for the future, so it must know and keep Future Sight forever afterwards. Have fun, and thanks everyone for making this an epic 1k!

@Matticus Maximus, take a Plusle named Plus. This Plusle was always picked on by Electrike, who were more intimidating and more popular with strong trainers. The only thing that made it bearable was its friends, who teamed with him against the cruel Electrike. After this traumatic past, Plus wants to prove its power by soloing all Electrike and Manectric, and most participate in every Double Battle.

@Matticus Take a Lileep and name it RockyPlant. It may only know and use Rock or Grass type attacks. In order to evolve it must solo your rival in Lilycove. As a Cradily it becomes ashamed of it's typing so it may not use STAB attacks anymore. Rename it NoSTAB and solo Sydney.

@Matticus Maximus: You get Tricky the Sableye. It cannot be used in Brawly's gym, and it cannot learn any move greater than or equal to 60 base power (including Toxic, Frustration, and Return; excluding Night Shade) until it solos the Trick House twice.

Ok, this is back frmo really long ago, but I did the RNG and got...

@Mr.L, you asked for it, take a Rattata named Zen. This little Rattata wants to fight and win. It constantly seeks to prove itself, not only as a strong fighter, but as a versatile fighter. Thus, it will put itself in the most difficult situations to prove, both to you and to itself, that it can handle anything. Zen must complete EVERY gym with increasingly-difficult restrictions.

Falkner: No STAB
Bugsy: No STAB
Whitney: No level up moves or items
Morty: No Dark type moves
Chuck: No STAB
Jasmine: No Dig
Pryce: No STAB or moves that Zen has used in battle before the match with Pryce
Clair: No moves with more then 60 base power

It also refuses to evolve into Raticate until after getting all 8 badges. After doing so well, Zen will finally have the confidence to stop giving itself such ridiculous challenges. However, its fighting spirit is still burning strong, and it must complete every major battle with no items (You can use items between E4 battles, but not during).

Double EDIT: No egg moves allowed :P

I will begin once Auramaster can (or someone else can do this) answer one question. Can I use TMs bred onto him, or is that uunder the no egg moves thing?

Alright, I'd like a scramble challenge on diamond, but I have some restrictions.

No Traded Pokemon

You must use my starter, but you can give it w/e crazy challenges you want, and you can pick what starter I choose EDIT: Starter reserved by auruamaster -Chimchar

No NicknamesUNLESS the nickname you suggest are good no people names (bob, charlie)

None of these pokemon and there evolutions. Bidoof, Kricketot, stunky, burmy, cherubi, skorupi, glameow, carnivine finneon

no egg moves.

other than that, go crazy, on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the most challenging I want around 7

Team
Budew/Roselia/Roserade-NN Petals, As roselia, can only be healed with the bitter herbs from Eterna City. Must Always know Two grass type moves. When it evolves into roserade, take the number of gym badges I have, and It must solo that many elite 4 pokes.
-auramaster-chimchar reserved
-Duke the Machop Caught on Route 207
Know Focus energy and use it every time he enters a match
Know Seismic Toss and Brick Break at all possible times
Never fight if last pokemon in party (Spam focus energy)
First in party unless grinding
Steal the show every major battle (except for required solos)
Steal the Show 4 times to evolve
can evolve into machamp after volkner

-Chrlysheen the gible
evolves after knowing one move from each category
Rock Star from Mars: Sandstorm / Rock Tomb / Stealth Rock / Rock Slide / Stone Edge
Have One Gear - GO: Protect / Endure (increased priority) / Dragon Rush (has rush in the name)
Tiger/Adonis Blood: Any move that at least five fully-evolved Pokemon in each of its Egg groups (Monster/Dragon) can learn
BI-WINNING: Any move with greater than/equal to 100 Base Power (Dragon Rush / Earthquake / Fire Blast / Stone Edge (if you didn't use it for number one)
evolves to chomp after soloing 30 ice types.

-chansey must stall out 10 pokes with status moves to evolve to blissey. can only know 1 special move.
-

Then take Petals the Budew. No restrictions as a Budew, but as soon as it evolves into Roselia, it becomes obsessed with Flowers. It may now only be healed with the bitter herbs in Eterna City. It must also know at least 2 Grass type moves. Solo 3 Gym Leader Pokemon as a Roselia to evolve into Roserade. Now it wants to prove it's strength. Take the number of badges you have when you evolve it. That is the number of Elite 4 Pokemon it must solo.

nice way to start things off, good nickname too. 5 more

@Mr.L, you can breed TM's on it, just no moves that it only learns as egg moves, like Flame Wheel.

@DragonKnighted, take a Chimchar named NotBroken. This Chimchar has broken the fourth wall to learn that some people think it's broken in Diamond, and Chimchar doesn't want to be broken (Sounds painful) so it is working hard to not be broken. Now one list says he's broken because...

Smogon In-Game Tier list said:
Has great offensive stats, a high Speed stat, and learns a vast amount of TMs and useful moves upon level up.

Let's start with the stats. Chimchar starts with good stats, and they quickly get better, but in LC Chimchar's stats aren't so good, so he can stay as Chimchar for a while. The large variety of TM's is a big problem, so NotBroken can only know 1 TM move at a time. For its useful moves, that's a big problem, so you can't use any of its Level-up moves until 5 levels after it learns them.

Eventually Chimchar's stats will get too weak, so after reaching Hearthrome, it can evolve to Monferno, but not before reaching Hearthrome. However, it can never evolve to Infernape.

EDIT: .6K :) I'd like to thank everyone who deserves to be thanked

Hmm, let's see if i can get you a challenge before i head to bed...

*ding* Idea-time!

You get the Bodybuilding Machop named Duke. This little machop is obsessed with it's muscular appearance. Catch him before the First gym, as he wants to get a good start.

Now, Duke believes in working out often. For this, he must use Focus Energy before any match, as working out without focusing can cause injuries. He must keep Seismic Toss on his movepool, as what's better than lifting the world for a morning workout? Also take Brick Break and add it into his movepool, as having muscles mean nothing unless you can smash bricks! Adding last move for your choice so it's a little easier on you.

Now, for the aesthetic stipulations. Duke knows not to work out without anyone (really just an excuse to always have someone to prove his strength to), so he cannot fight unless another pokemon in conscious in your party. He must also be the first pokemon in the party during all non-grinding sessions, to show off his massive and buff muscles (so training against wild pokemon, he doesn't need to be in the front). He must also not participate in ANY major battles except for coming in to deal the last hit (to steal the show). Steal the Show 4 times before he can evolve into Machoke.

So, here's a review of your stipulations:
-Duke the Machop Caught on Route 207
-Know Focus energy and use it every time he enters a match
-Know Seismic Toss and Brick Break at all possible times
-Never fight if last pokemon in party (Spam focus energy)
-First in party unless grinding
-Steal the show every major battle (except for required solos)
-Steal the Show 4 times to evolve

hope you have fun

Also, after reflection, i realize I should have based the challenge around DBZ's Hercule...

@DragonKnighted: Take Generation IV's premier Dragon-type, Gible! Although you don't want people names, naming him ChrlySheen is kind of important to the challenge. He must know exactly one move from each of the following categories by the time you fight the Elite Four:

He may evolve after knowing one move from each of these categories; categories do not overlap for the purposes of filling these requirements (e.g., Stone Edge cannot satisfy both #1 and #4). To evolve into Garchomp, he must solo 30 Ice-types to prove that he is deserving of the name of Charlie Sheen by overcoming his WEAKness.

woah, sounds great, now, is there no restrictions on evolving to machamp?

I assumed you were doing a no-trade scramble. If you want to evolve...

Machoke loves his body, for he spent a lot of time developing this. But after he impressively defeats Volkner, the electricity shoots through his body and gives him 4 arms!

So, after Volkner he can evolve to Machamp.

As for my challenge, I'm just gonna catch my Ratatta. I'm not gonna be able to do the scramble with my moveset from the start, but I'll be able to have a friend help me out.

Haven't been here in a while D: (Well, I haven't been active in Smogon for a few months now..; So, ehh)
Useless words aside, I'd like some Pogeymans for my Emerald Scramble Challenge. I did have a Platinum Scramble but my Platinum Cartridge kinda broke or something like that. I'd like it Medium-Hard(?) Well, Not too hard please.

Yes I can trade. (I have 2 Gameboys and one copy of FR/LG/Sapphire/Ruby/Emerald each)

alright, sounds tricky, but all those moves are great anyway and lol for the charlie sheen references, I know he's crazy, but I still love two and a half men

Alright, I'll help you out

take a mudkip named muddy

because he was bullied as a young pokemon, mudkip now thinks he is very ugly.
becasue of this, he doesn't want anyone to see him. you must use mudslap to lower the opponents accuracy, and they must miss twice in a row. do this 5 times before he can evolve into marshtomp.

now as a marshtomp, muddy wants to prove he is cute, and must win two ranks of cute contests before he can evolve into a swampert.

now fully adorable, he must know attract at all times as soon as possible.

hope this isn't too hard, have fun!

EDIT: sorry for double posting, just wanted to help him out

Take a Lotad named Lolololo. It can only learn attacks containing the letter O. To evolve into Ludicolo, it must solo five trainers using only Hydrolololo Pump. Then you must rename it Ludicololo. If you choose not to do the Hydrolololo Pump restriction, it becomes depressed and cannot use any moves with over 60 power or containing the letter O. Regardless, it must also solo one Pokemon in the Flying gym.
