Challenge The Scramble Challange

Status
Not open for further replies.
So my HG Scramble is about halfway finished. I now have to grind 5 members of my team to about level 43 before I take on the League. Barring its mandatory kill, Ampharos has been and will be unused until the completion of the league as Thunderpunch for its only attacking move wont do much good for grinding in Victory Road. The next update will be a halfway progress report after the defeat of the League.

Okay, so there's something I want to say.

My nephew, aged 3, torn my DS in half, and I can complete my LeafGreen.

On the other hand, if anyone knows where I can get a reliable SoulSilver emulator, then I should be able to take a challenge for that.

Note; I am ~not~ asking for a SoulSilver Challenge yet. I want to be able to get to know the game before I go doing that.

I tried that. Most of what came up was "Locked", due to legal issues, useless, or cost for a registration. Which sucks, so hopefully someone knows where a decent one is.

Actually, I remember it was impossible to find HGSS roms, and even the main ROM site I used was shut down. Kind of a shame they had the big crack-down. But remember that discussion of such things is ABSOLUTELY VERBOTEN.

EDIT: They actually are quite hard to find, because of a big crackdown. But yes.

Like Atheno said, don't discuss these things here. There are perfectly fine emulators and roms for that so google them because they're not too tough to find. Let's end this here because this may cause problems.

I have a question, that isn't supposed to be rude but... it's definitely a gripe so if you don't feel like listening to some wacko on the pokemon boards don't read it.
WTF is up with 900 people deciding that they have a "signature challange" over the last 10ish pages?

First off, why do they think people think they NEED a signature challenge and secondly why do they think it's a good thing to have one?
Let's look at the first popularized signature challenge, the MEP. Noone likes getting the MEP. It is awful. Just awful. I would bet that unless someone else is trying to be cruel the MEP is nearly guaranteed as the LVP of any standard difficulty team.
The next one that comes to mind is probably the CheriBerryBat (fucking Flapper). If you don't have anything else to deal with Fighting or Grass Types (grass types that don't spam Stun Spore that is) Zubat isn't as bad as MEP but you are still going to groan when you get one.

Now I'm not saying that you can't have your own signature Challange, I'm saying you shouldn't try to make your own. Now sure, you can give the same challange out multiple times if you thought it was particularly interesting or special, I have so why not. However, 1) you can't give the same one out twice and say that it is your signature Scramble thing, it's like a nickname: other people basically have to decide on it for you; and 2)if it does happen it's usually something that's infamous rather than extraordinary.

Just be creative; try making up a few challanges off the top of your head rather than reusing them or popping in a reservation to one-up the other people challenging (no a) that person. Remember that the Scramble Challange is supposed to be fun, part of that fun is the unique and bizarre teams that people come up with. What's the point of giving every person that comes through here 3-5 of the same pokemon the last person received?

Here is another Scramble veteran talking. I agree with you Vratix. I've been here for half a year now and I still don't have a signature challange but the thread has recently received lots of people and they want to have signature challanges so there's nothing we can do about it.

Btw do you wanna be in SPL 2?

for sure.

Well...now I feel terrible...

Updates 1 2 3 4 5

All right guys, this challenge is basically a log of my first elite four try. All of my Pokemon are level 45. Notable info: Gyara has to solo 2 of Lances Pokemon, Umbreon 1 and Typhlosion has to solo a Dragonite. Miltank is a sub-puncher and typhlosion has HP ice (yay)

Athenodoros's Gyarados: Magikarp that cannot learn Tackle or Bounce. Once evolved, it must learn Surf but not Thunder, Blizzard or Fire Blast. It must KO two of the Champion's Pokemon

Its_A_Randoms Miltank: Must know Body Slam, Substitute, and Milk Drink. Has to KO 150 pokemon, at least 1/10 owned by gym leaders by the Kanto's 8th gym. NN Milky Cow. (I didn't see that until the next post. I have changed the nickname)

Sprocket's Typhlosion: Must learn only Special Attacks. Cannot be used in a boss battle with a type advantage except Elite Four. Must KO one Dragonite of Lance. Can only evolve into a Quilava if taught the TM Flamethrower (lol Celadon city or 10k coins in Game Corner).

Texas Cloverleaf's Nidoqueen: Can only use Sheer Force boosted moves

auramaster's Crobat: May only know one move per type.

DetroitLolCat's Eevee: Must be Bill's eevee
Cannot learn Return, Quick Attack, Bite, Hidden Power, or Baton Pass as an eevee.
Cannot learn Mean Look, Taunt, Baton Pass, Wish, Yawn, Protect, Moonlight, Toxic, Substitute, Curse, Rest, Pursuit, Charm, or Confuse Ray as an Umbreon
Cannot learn Substitute, Psychic, Hidden Power, Grass Knot, Shadow Ball, Baton Pass, Signal Beam, Trick, Substitute, Bite, or Morning Sun as an Espeon
Must solo one of Lance’s, Red’s and Blue’s Pokemon.

I get about 10 leppa berries for PP, 30 revives and almost 50 moomoo milks because they are the same price as a super potion but heals twice the HP. To the elite four!

Will, the Psychic Psycho
Milky Cow vs. Xatu: Well crap. I thought this was a Dark type place. Oh well. I sub and avoid the confuse ray. Body slam does 75% while Psychic breaks the sub. I body slam for the KO
Fuego vs. Jynx: Flamethrower OHKO’s. Boo-yah
Luna vs. Slowbro: I dig to scout as he curses. Well crap. Dig does next to nothing as he curses again. Faint attack does 25% and another curse. Come on crithax. 20% w/ Faint Attack and another curse. He is in the red, so I switch to Toxin as he heals
Toxin vs. Slowbro: I put him into the red while psychic does about 60%. I finish it with thunderbolt.
Fuego vs. Exeggutor: Flamethrower OHKO’s
Luna vs. Xatu: He confuses and I hurt myself. Aerial ace does < 10% while I snap out and faint attack for 85%, but a Sitrus berry puts Xatu just outside the red. He confuses Luna again and she hurts herself again. Stop being emo will you? Another aerial ace for 10% and I hurt myself again. So much for 50% chance. Luna still has over half of her health left. Whata beast! Another aerial ace puts Luna in the yellow, but I faint attack for the KO.

Annoying battle, but easy enough. Onward we go.

Koga, the Poison Pimp
XeRxEn vs. Ariados: XeRxEn flies, avoiding a Poison Jab, then pwns the stupid spider.
XeRxEn vs. Venomoth: XeRxEn flies avoiding a psychic and proceeds to pwn a butterfly as well. My Poison type is better than yours, Koga.
Milky Cow vs. Forretress: Milky Cow subs while he protects (lol). I focus, while he sets up toxic spikes and I punch for 40%. Crap. Same thing again. I would switch, but I need some solos. He heals as I punch again. He swifts, but doesn’t break the sub as I punch again. He protects my body slam, but the falcon punch always KO’s as his swift breaks the sub.
Toxin vs. Muk: I absorb the Toxic Spikes for my team. Earth Power barely misses the KO as he minimizes. I flamethrower for the KO. None of this BS evasion hax for you Koga.
XeRxEn vs Crobat: A battle of epic proportions. I confuse him, but he double teams nonetheless. Bite does 20% and he double teams again. Where’s the Confuse hax for me? I need to hit him, so I go to Luna for Faint Attack
Luna vs. Crobat: Wing attack does 10% on the switch. Goddammit, hit yourself already. He kindly obliges. Faint attack is negated by a sitrus berry but should be a 2hko. He crits with a wing attack, taking me to half health. Wing attack does 15% while Faint attack leaves him with one hp. And he heals. Crap. Faint attack is a 5hko, while wing attack will 2hko at this point. I faint attack once more, eating a wing attack. RNG blesses me twice. He gets a low damage roll, meaning Luna can survive a hit, while I crit into faint attack’s KO range. I take a wing attack and lol, because the last shot was actually a HIGH damage roll. Luna becomes level 46 and wins

I F-ing hate evasion stall. Anyway, onward and upward.

Bruno, the Fighting freak
XeRxEn vs Hitmontop: XeRxEn flies, avoiding a triple kick and a quick attack (lol) and dive bombs Hitmontop for the KO. He send out onix, and I can’t resist saying: RELEASE THE KRAKEN
Kraken vs. Onix: Waterfall for the OHKO. This is Kraken’s first battle in the E4, and he pwns.
Fuego vs. Hitmonchan: Flamethrower deals 60%, while thunderpunch does 25%. Flamethrower for the KO.
XeRxEn vs. Machamp: XeRxEn flies, taking 70% from a rock slide. Fly leaves him 1% and the sitrus berry heals him as he rock slides for the KO. Thanks you RNG.
Toxin vs. Machamp: Earth Power for the KO.
Toxin vs. Hitmonlee: He focus his energy, while earth power does 50%. Blaze kick does 17%, activates poison point, but it doesn’t matter because Earth Power Ko’s.

My first lost Pokemon. Oh noes. I heal and move on

Karen, the Dark damsel
Milky Cow vs. Umbreon: I sub as she double teams. I focus as she double teams again, but focus punch gets her to the red. Body slam misses as she heals. She paybacks the sub and focus punch misses. Goddam hax. She withdraws Umbreon (lolwut?) for gengar
Milky Cow vs. Gengar: Focus punch does 40%. Focus blast breaks the sub (it was a crit). Body slam KO’s
Fuego vs. Houndoom: Focus blast leaves 1% (F*** you to hell RNG), I get a SpDef drop (take out the to hell part before) and the sitrus berry heals him as he nasty Plots. Swift KO’s.
Toxin vs. Murkow: He plucks for 15%, but T-bolt OHKO’s. Again, I say: RELEASE THE KRAKEN
Kraken vs. Umbreon: waterfall does 40% as she double teams. She confuses me as waterfall takes her to the red. Surf ends the poor dog. Kraken has not lost any health this entire time. OP for sure.
XeRxEn vs. Vileplume: I fly, avoiding a stun spore. Fly KO’s. Boo-yah.

Boomboomboom, Karen down. Only Toxin took damage that wasn’t self inflicted. On to the Champion. Kraken has to solo 2 pokemon. Typhlosion must solo a Dragonite, and Umbreon must take out one. Fun…

Lance, the Dragon dude
Luna vs. Gyarados: Waterfall does 25%, while I sand-attack for no reason. He waterfalls again, while a Faint attack does 15%. I use an X-attack on a waterfall miss. An x-attacked faint attack is about a 3hko at this point, while waterfall is just out of KO range. It leaves me one hp, while putting Gyarados in KO range. Hyper potion on a missed Ice fang. Sand attack is paying off. Waterfall hits and faint attack leaves him 1hp. Great. I might run out of PP. I sand-attack on the heal and more stall. Why didn’t I teach this guy assurance? I crit and hit twice on on a missed waterfall. At one HP, his flail misses. I dodged a bullet there. Anyway, one solo down.
Fuego vs. Dragonite: A crit HP OHKO’s. I love RNG now. RELEASE THE KRAKEN
Kraken vs. Aerodactyl: Thunder fang paralyzes as I dragon dance. FUUUUUU. I full restore as he rock slides for 50%. I hope I outspeed… I do and OHKO with a waterfall.
Kraken vs. Dragonite: Ice fang OHKO’s. That is all the solos done.
Kraken vs. Dragonite: Ice fang OHKO’s again.
Kraken vs. Charizard: Waterfall OHKO’s. That is a Dragon dance sweep for ya!!

Badabing, badaboom and the E4 is over. I only used 1 revive. That is epic. Anyway, more updates soon.

-Fuego the Typhlosion (Female)
Level 46
Moveset:
Focus Blast
Swift
Hidden Power[Ice]
Flamethrower

Epicosity on legs. This guy can KO so much with his varied moveset. Unfortunately, his low base power makes up for his great power

-Kraken the Gyarados(Female)
Level 45
Moveset:
Surf
Waterfall
Dragon Dance
Ice Fang

MVP by far. Did you guys see that he swept Lance 4-0 with only one item used. You can’t get more beastly than that

-XeRxEn the Crobat(Male)
Level 46
Moveset:
Cross Poison
Fly
Confuse Ray
Bite

Crazy beast thanks to great speed and STAB on fly. Confuse ray had it’s utility as well. I am thinking of putting U-turn on there somewhere.

-Toxin the Nidoqueen
Level 46
Moveset:
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Flamethrower
Earth Power

Epic type coverage is epic. Nothing could get close to an OHKO on this beast, while the typing gave her so many super-effective acts to mess around with it wasn’t even funny

-Milky Cow the Miltank (70 soloes+ 3 gym+ 3 E4)
Level 46
Moveset:
Focus Punch
Body Slam
Substitute
Milk Drink

Fairly good, but the insane power of some of the Pokemon prevented her from sub-punching very well.

-Luna the Umbreon
Level 46
Moveset:
Faint Attack
Headbutt
Sand-Attack
Dig

Great outside of battle, with Dig and headbutt. In battle, she was very underwhelming power-wise but an effective tank (seriously, 5hko STAB waterfall from Lance’s Gyarados) which gave her some props. Unfortunately, she is the LVP by process of elimination

As much as I don't want to, I have to agree...Well, I am becoming notorious for that bat (If I recall, some people have hated it so much that they've banned that bat from their Scramble), but yeah. It only becomes a signature challange if people start to fear it, people start to know you for dishing it out on random occasions.

As far as the two mentioned signature challenges are concerned, I've actually done quite well with it. MEP, all you need to do is give it Choice Specs & it'll be fine. Cheri Berry Zubat, I was lucky I only needed to solo one of Wattson's Pokemon to evolve it into Crobat, & That's what I should give out in the future, because Voltorb is quite easy to kill, & if you grind it until it learns Confuse ray, it becomes easier.

tl;dr: I agree...

Update:

Glacia's Snorunt:
Plurple, Catch a Snorunt at Route 216 / 217.
Name it Shiver.
Shiver comes from an Amish family and as such, will refuse any TMs or HMs.
It also hates Steel-Type, but has no power so it must lay*one*hit on every steel type you encounter.
Shiver can evolve into Glalie at any time, but It may not learn any moves through any methods by doing this.
To evolve into Froslass, it must solo 5 pokémon at the Snowpoint Gym (Trainer, not Leader),
but it turns into a ghost and loses it's confidence!
It can only use it's Snorunt moveset like this, If it solos Candice's Froslass it will get inspiration to live on and can learn new moves.

So:
Can't learn Tm / Hm moves as a Snorunt/Glalie.
Must lay one hit on every steel-type you encounter.
Must solo 5 trainer pokemon in Snowpoint Gym to evolve into Froslass.
Must solo Candice's Froslass to learn new moves.
Enjoy!

Qwertyuiop's Carnivine:
Plurple, take a Carnivine, obtained from the Safari Zone (or the Great Marsh). It must be the very first Carnivine you see. It may only use moves that James' Carnivine knows unless you solo a particular Gym Leader/Elite Four member with it. The trainer you must solo depends on Carnivine's level.

-Level 20-22: Byron
-Level 23-25: Candice
-Level 26: Flint

After that, you may remove three of its moves, excluding Bind. It must have Stockpile and Spit Up or Swallow and any fourth move of your choice. Note that you need a Heart Scale to teach it Bind.

The moves James' Carnivine knew were Bullet Seed, Vine Whip, Bite, Bind.

Fire Blast's Finneon:
You get Buggy the Finneon. Buggy thinks that he is a bug/flying type so he cannot use his Water STAB. To evolve he must solo Maylene. After evolving he realizes how important his STAB is so he becomes obsessed with it. He can only use his water STAB untill he sees another Finneon or Lumineon that talks him into his senses. After all of that he wants revenge on all that wasted so much of his life so he must solo Bugsy of the E4.

Recap
-Can't use water STAB
-Must solo Maylene to evolve
-After evolving he can only use his water STAB untill he sees another Finneon of Lumineon
-Must solo Bugsy of the E4

Randoms' Garchomp
Take a*male*Garchomp & name it Doug. You must catch it as a Gible & it must be a Garchomp before your battle with Giratina.
Your Garchomp is a smart politician & leads the political party: Garchomp for OU. The Garchomp community was very sad the day a group of Smogon Users said that Garchomps are too broken for OU, & was moved to the "Uber Tire" by Smogon user: DougJustDoug. This led to the Garchomp being shunned in favour of Pokemon like Salamence, Dragonite, even Altaria.

Your Garchomp made a policy & pledge to his fellow Garchomp before coming with you that he would Guarantee that by the end of the Gen 4 Metagame, the Garchomp will be OU again. To do so, He will need to be KOed by every OU Tier Pokemon you encounter post-Giratina. Maybe then the Smogon people will consider testing Garchomp in OU again, & Doug's mission will hopefully be accomplished.

Recap:
Catch a Male Gible & name it Doug.
It must become a Garchomp before your battle with Giratina.
Post-Giratina, your Garchomp must be KOed by every OU Tier Pokemon you encounter (Excluding Garchomp & Jolteon, because Jolteon can't do anything to Garchomp).
Have fun, & Garchomp for OU!

Iggdrasil's Pikachu
Today's your lucky day Plurple, for you receiving a very special Pikachu; Ash's Pikachu! As the name suggests, this Pikachu may only learn moves*Ash's knew in the anime*and must be caught as a Pikachu (unless breeding for Volt Tackle). Your Pikachu must solo ether the rival's starter in every rival battle after it is caught, or every GLMP after it is caught. You are not retricted to this level of requirement however. If you solo every rival battle after it's caught or solo 3 gym battles after it's caught respectfully (Note: the GLMP solo requirement is still in place), the move retrictions above are lifted.

NOW here's a test to see how much you know about the amime. Your Pikachu's nickname is:

AOREsON! (prenounced Awe-son, representing "Awesome")

This nickname isn't just bad spelling; it's a reference to the anime. You have 5 guesses to get this reference. Every time you get the answer wrong, the challenge gets harder restrictions, thankfully you also get a hint, Hint 1 being decent to Hint 4 being pretty much a dead give away. Use all 5 guesses and... well... your "Pikachu" will be pretty much screwed (what happens, I'll reveal later ;p).

Good luck, have fun, and for the sake of humanity GET THE REFERENCE RIGHT!
Added restrictions:
-Pikachu may NOT learn Iron Tail.
-Must solo 50 ground types that are at minimun 5 levels behind Pikachu, just for the sake of it.
-The bit where you can optionally solo ether all rival battles or 3 gym leaders? It's now compusary depending in which one you choose, and you WONT pick up the movepool lifting. Good Luck with that...

Son of Shadoo's Turtwig

plurple, your trainer name is*Splinter, and your starter is the*Turtwig, Leonardo.*Leonardo is in training to be a totally radical master ninja turtle under your guidance! To become a master ninja, he must solo the first three gyms entirely, taking out all Gym Trainers' Pokémon.*Upon doing this, he can evolve to Torterra (though he may evolve to Grotle whenever you want - he is a growing turtle). His final moveset should reflect that of a totally radical teenage mutant ninja turtle -*Razor Leaf (i.e shuriken), Leech Seed, Substitute, and Toxic. He should hold the Smoke Ball as much as possible.
1.So I started out and named my Trainer Splint since Splinter was too long and I didn't like the idea of Splintr. I chose Turtwig named Leonardo and set out on my journey. The usual in-game stuff happened with me pwning everything with a grossly over-leveled Turtwig since I couldn't catch anything else until Gible. I solo'd the first two gyms with relative ease and finally made it to cycling road where I took a trip underneath it to catch Doug the Gible. I slapped an experience share on it and took on the third gym with Leonardo, easily soloing it with Bite. This let me evolve Grotle into Torterra. I made my way further and on Route 209 finally obtained a Good Rod which allowed me to go back and catch Buggy the Finneon.
389.png

Leonardo(Male Torterra) lvl. 35
Adamant
-Leech Seed
-Bite
-Substitute
-Razor Leaf
So far I have three of the four moves for its final moveset. It's over-leveled by about 10 so its a beast. Obvious MVP for now.
444.png

Doug(Male Gabite) lvl. 25
Impish
-Sand Tomb
-Sandstorm
-Dragon Rage
-Take Down
Doug has kinda been a pain in the ass. Can't take a whole lot of hits and doesn't really have a good moveset for this far in.
456.png

Buggy(Male Finneon) lvl. 17
Quirky
-Water Gun
-Attract
-Rain Dance
-Gust
Buggy was just caught so I haven't been able to really use him. I'm trying to think of good non-STAB moves I can teach it until it evolves.

The grinding is almost complete. All of the members of the team: Sceptile, Solrock, Crobat, Nidoking and Mantine will be level 45 with the exception of Ampharos who will be level 41. Expect the midpoint update tomorrow after my conquest of the League. Notable points, Mantine must solo Karen and has thus been taught Sleep Talk to counter act any sleep. Crobat must attempt to solo Koga on his first tey. I he fails, he loses a moveslot. For both solos Sceptile will start the battle and immediately switch out as part of his requirement to be present in all gym leader/E4 battles.

Updated my Heart Gold Scramble. I'll post the update here in case you're too lazy to look...
  • 16.) Hoppip (4xTheFun): Must appear against 2 GLMP to evolve into Skiploom, & KO 2 GLMP to evolve into Jumpluff. Post-Chuck, must be no more than 2 levels below highest levelled Pokemon & must KO at least one Pokemon on each of the E4 member's teams (Vratix)
  • 1.) Variable (Dexington)--> Furret (Dexington): Must know & keep Attract, Me First, & Surf/Whirlpool & use Me First against one of Lance's Dragonites (Dexington)
  • 10.) Haunter: Must solo every Haunter I see, including Morty's Haunters. May only use moves with a base power below 80 (DetroitLolcat)
  • 19.) Phanpy (Trunkie): Only attacking move is Rollout, must solo either Erika or Misty to evolve (Its_A_Random) (Dropped)
  • 5.) Starmie (Valence): If kept below Lv40 against E4, must have Surf & BoltBeam. Otherwise, must know Surf, but no BoltBeam (Treadshot A1)
  • 11.) Wooper (Yawn): If ability is Damp, Must know & keep Yawn & Yawn 5 Pokemon to sleep to evolve. If ability is Water Absorb, must know & keep Yawn & Rest & Yawn 10 Pokemon to sleep to evolve (Edwin Illan)
  • 4.) Lapras: Must Solo 30 Gym Leader & E4 Pokemon combined before Blue, & may either be all Physical or all Special (Athenodoros)
To Start off, I went & caught Atheno the Lapras & EV Trained it 6HP/252ATK/252SPD. I then beat the Trainers up Route 43 & went to the Lake of Rage to catch Powpentine the Shiny Gyarados. Then went in the Rocket Hideout & cleared that place out. Petrel was Valence bait & the Ariana battle was merely a demonstration of how powerful Lance's Lv40 Dragonite is. I then went & caught Ka-Boom!!! the Electrode & went to Mahogany Gym. Beating the minor battles I confronted Pryce for Gym Badge #5.
I got so paranoid with 4xTheFun failing to solo with Piloswine that I killed 30 Unown with 4xTheFun holding a Macho Brace, & experimented with those X-(Stat) Items nobody uses. After that I then confront Pryce for Gym Badge #5.
Atheno knocked out Seel after several Body Slams, then 4xTheFun put Piloswine to sleep, before I used X-Sp. Def 4 times...Then found out that even at +4 Sp. Def, Piloswine will still OHKO with Blizzard. >_> Swine then took out Yawn & Dexington in quick succession while Troll sacrificed himself to put Piloswine in a Curse. Atheno then came in & KOed Piloswine after several Body Slams. Dewgong came out & Atheno too KOed Dewgong after several Body Slams, the KO blow being a Critical Hit. I got the badge & the TM & healed up. Next stop: Cianwood.

Valence (Genderless Starmie) @ Nothing
Lv:26/Hardy/Natural Cure
-Surf
-Thunderbolt
-Recover
-Ice Beam
Comments: Easily the squad's most powerful member, but cannot be relied on for the sake of keeping BoltBeam...

Yawn (Male Wooper) @ Nothing
Lv:27/Gentle/Damp
-Amnesia
-Water Gun
-Headbutt
-Mud Shot
Pokemon Yawned to Sleep: 0/5
Comments: Doesn't have Yawn yet, Luckily I got Damp for the ability...Is arguably the weakest on the team, but until he gets Yawn, it's likely to stay that way. Current LVP.

Troll (Male Haunter) @ Nothing
Lv:28/Docile/Levitate
-Hypnosis
-Night Shade

-Confuse Ray

That's all. Keep your eyes peeled for my 600th post, I will be asking for a Pokemon Scramble, but not for an ordinary Pokemon game. HINT: Look in the group...

HURRY UP AND POST ALREADY THE PRESSURE'S KILLING ME!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Hoping to get a challenge in this one. It'll be interesting to say the least.

Ok, on my Emerald Scramble all of my pokes are at lv. 40 except Pikachu (it's at lv. 31 and will be trained against Team Aqua) and Kirlia (because I only have 2 Rare Candys and I need 3 to evolve it) and I'm about to fight both Teams at their Hideouts.

Lairon is near evolution and I already have Thunder and Fire Blast to teach it. I'm not sure which moves will be the last 2 of its moveset (pure special) so can anyone give me suggestions?

EDIT: got my third Rare Candy on Team Magma's Hideout and now I'll evolve Kirlia and I can finally level it up!!!

EDIT 2: just checked my Bag and I only have 2 Rare Candys so I was mistaken and Kirlia will stay useless till I find the last one...

EDIT 3: ok, I found the Rare Candy. I had stored it in the PC xD

Maybe you could give Dragon Claw and possibly Surf to Aggron? Or maybe Blizzard.

PMD Red Rescue Team Scramble

Hi there. For my 600th, I am asking for a Scramble on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, which I have on this here computer. This will be done in 2 parts, the first takes me through the main story up until the battle with Rayquaza, the second will cover the post-game dungeons. The point of this is to see if a Mystery Dungeon Scramble is feasible. I am only asking for part 1 at the moment.

The Rules (Part 1):

  • Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team
  • You obviously can't trade on these games
  • No Wonder mail.
  • I will be asking for 4 Pokemon, a starter, a partner, & 2 recruitable Pokemon. The link for the starter & partner is here, while the recruitable Pokemon are at the bottom of this post
  • No Pokemon may evolve, because evolution is impossible until post-game
  • Please refrain from giving me creative challenges unless you are familiar with the Mystery Dungeon series.
  • I do reserve the right to reject challenges for whatever reason, but I will probably accept most challenges due to not many people here being familiar to the series
  • Under no circumstance may you reserve a spot. Do not make a placeholder post or say you're editing in my challenge either. If you get ninja'd, too bad
  • Don't dish out signature challenges that are not yours.
  • At least one attacking option on each Pokemon other than "The Shove"
  • Make them fun
Magnemite, Rattata, Nidoran (F)
Poochyena, Voltorb, Elekid
Plusle, Spearow
Zigzagoon, Geodude
Tyrogue, Meditite, Beldum
Pinsir, Oddish Sudowoodo,
Sentret, Shroomish, Ledyba
Wooper, Scyther Hoothoot
Slakoth, Farfetch'd,
Teddiursa, Weedle, Yanma
Poliwag, Houndour, Paras
Electrike, Stantler, Gligar
Dunsparce, Phanpy
Doduo, Murkrow, Heracross
Tauros, Illumise
Tangela Shuckle
Azurill, Ditto
Rhyhorn, Absol
Swablu, Chimecho, Zangoose
Seviper, Seedot, Roselia
Mankey Shuppet, Duskull
Koffing, Tropius
TOTAL: 57 Pokemon
Without further ado, fire away with challenges.
  • Me: Squirtle (Leader): May only use moves Ash's Squirtle knew, which were Water Gun, Skull Bash, Tackle, Bubblebeam, Withdraw, Hydro Pump, Bubble & Rapid Spin. Team must be named SqrtlSquad (Aditya8081)
  • Partner: Pikachu (Chocapic): Must know & keep Quick Attack & Thunderbolt. Must be fed 5 Yellow Gummis (zdrup15)
  • Spearow: Must have the "Lets go Together" Tactic. At all times, it must either have Exclusive move-user active and only one move picked, or exclusive move-user turned off and no moves set. (auramaster)
  • Phanpy: Must be fed every Gummi in the game except the 5 given to Pikachu (Texas Cloverleaf)

@Its_A_Random: Your character is Squirtle. This is Ash's Squirtle, so it can only use moves that Ash's Squirtle knew. This includes

Water gun, Skull bash, tackle, bubble beam, Withdraw, Hydro Pump, Bubble, and Rapid spin

Also, the team name must be SqrtlSquad and the squirtle must be nicknamed Leader. Have fun!

Your partner will be Chocapic the Pikachu. It has to learn and keep Quick Attack (very useful in PMD), Thunderbolt and Vacuum Cut (go Monster House). The fourth move is up to you.

Accepted.

Accepted, however, I will need an alternative move for Vacuum Cut, as if I'm not mistaken, Vacuum Cut is only obtainable in Far Off Sea, which is a post-game dungeon. Other than that, it's fine.
EDIT: Added the new restrictions to Pikachu. :)

True, I haven't played PMD red in years so I didn't remember. You have to give it at least 5 Yellow Gummys then (yes, I know this is a good thing but I'm not known for being a bad guy).

Also I posted something important on the group so check it!

@Its A Random, take a Swinub named (Can you pick nicknames? I forgot) Iceberg. Iceberg recognizes you as leader, and so it must always follow you everywhere. You can't change his tactics. At all times, it must either have Exclusive move-user active and only one move picked, or exclusive move-user turned off and no moves set.

Also, although I may not start it right now, I'm gonna ask for a Scramble in Blue Rescue Team. Rules (Mostly copied from Its A Random's)

  • You obviously can't trade on these games
  • No Wonder mail.
  • I will be asking for 6 Pokemon; a starter, a partner, & 4 recruitable Pokemon. The link for the starter & partner is about 5 posts above this one, while the recruitable Pokemon can be anything from the first 3 Gens.
  • Please note that evolution is impossible for much of the game
  • Please refrain from giving me creative challenges unless you are familiar with the Mystery Dungeon series.
  • I do reserve the right to reject challenges for whatever reason, but I will probably accept most challenges due to not many people here being familiar to the series
  • Under no circumstance may you reserve a spot. Do not make a placeholder post or say you're editing in my challenge either. If you get ninja'd, too bad
  • Don't dish out signature challenges that are not yours.
  • At least one attacking option on each Pokemon other than "The Shove"
  • I found Mystery Dungeon to be too easy and mundane going through the dungeons. Any restrictions to make them more interesting or difficult will be appreciated.

IAR: Take an Aerodactyl. It must be fed evrey gummi in the game except the 5 given to Pikachu.

Also about my solo. Do you guys still consider it a solo if my Mantine gets Whirlwinded out and then sent back in? Its just that there is literally no way for me to beat Karen's Murkrow bar miraculous hax otherwise. Ice Beam from lv 45 Mantine fails to KO iirc (what does this even mean?).
