Challenge The Scramble Challange

Status
Not open for further replies.
@Maxie: Take a Spoink named either Spring or Porkers. If you name it Spring, it must learn and keep Bounce forever, as well as solo two of Sydney's Pokemon. If you name it Porkers, it must know two Psychic-typed moves at all times, as well as solo two of Phoebe's Pokemon. Regardless, it must solo Drake's Salamence.

Haunter had better show up and move this to UT since Pokemon Black and White Versions already have Scrambles up. Case in point: my Black Version Solo Scramble, where I have to run through the entire game with only one battling Pokemon decided by rolling a D6, and I ended up with Shelly, the Oshawott who cannot use special attacks other than Water Gun and Surf. I was given options for the other five Pokemon obtainable before I fight the first gym, and I myself provided Oshawott as an example.

@maxie:you get WINSTON the numel...to evolve it must first know flamethrower...this must happen before the e4...as a camerupt it must solo one of steven's pokemon that is not a steel type...

You get Ted the Carvanah. He must be caught ASAP (Good Rod If I'm Not Mistaken)
-Can evolve when it knows Surf
-Can only know stab, whether it is even, or uneven with the water/dark split, but must know one of each.
-Has to solo 3 Elite Four Pokemon.

@Maxie

You get a Wingull named "Phillipe". It may not be used in the Rock, Fighting, or Fire gyms. It must solo Wallace using only Shock Wave.
Take a Poochyena. It is the only pokemon that can attack Tate and Liza (other pokemon must support).
Take a Zigzagoon called Tyrant (male) or Shemhazia (female) that must learn water pulse, ice beam and thunderbolt as soon as possible (via tm).

Maxie, Start with Mudkip, name it Kipper. As of Fortree City, it may only know one attacking move. Have it solo the Rustboro, Mauville (Minus Wattson) & the Lavaridge Gyms. (Easy)

Have fun.

EDIT: I'm still waiting on the situation reports for the unfinished SPL2 Round 7 matches. Can those that haven't done so (Atheno, Dex, Igg & Dummy) please do so, so I know if I need to extend a match or not.

Cheers!

You can only not evolve them if they say something like 'it cannot evolve' or 'can only evolve if...' if they said eg: 'take a mudkip' and didnt mention anything about it evolving, then assume you can evolve it.

What happened to the Spoink I gave you? I posted it before any other poke except Wingull...

@Random: I'm trying to catch Atheno when he's on, but that isn't working. I'm going to VM him later today.

EDIT: I actually already VMed him once...

oh sorry i thought i was forgeting something i will go and edit it right now and in other news i am getting poke white version:)^_^

good to know, although unfortunately for us it comes out last in New Zealand and Australia, have to wait until the 10th...

Anyways, will update my scramble soon, once i beat Misty probably, depending on how long that takes.

Well, here's a lame update of my SoulSilver Scramble.
I'm not particularly inspired to write a full-fledged update, mainly because I'm saving the storytelling for my Nuzlocke. Basically, after beating Claire, I went and battled the Kimono girls, then proceeded to the Whirl Islands to battle Lugia. I fainted the bird, mainly because I did not want to waste my Masterball, and because you can rebattle it after the Elite Four.

Once Lugia was finished off, I made my way towards Victory Road, grinding on the NPCs with Horace. Made it through the Victory Road, then I was ready to make preparations for the Elite Four. I spent quite some time grinding, mostly to bring Duranga to a respectable level, and FluffStar to a level where it was plausible for her to solo Lance.

Grinding complete, time to battle Elite Four. To fulfill the requirement of soloing an Elite Four member, I used Duranga versus Will. I pumped her full of X Attack, X Speed, and X Sp. Def, and easily wiped out Will.

Next was Koga. Yips took down Ariados and Forretress with Ember, fulfilling his scramble challenge. The rest were handled by Horace.

Bruno was a piece of cake. Swords Dance on FluffStar, and she swept with Razor Leaf.

Karen was fairly difficult, mainly because I had nothing to deal with her Poison types. FluffStar took down Umbreon and Murkrow, Horace took down Gengar and Houndoom, and Yips handled Vileplume with the help of Sunny Day from PokemonTCG the Sunflora.

Finally it was time to face the champion. I pumped two X Speeds into FluffStar, then proceeded to Swords Dance to +6. Once she was set up, I swept Lance easily with Razor Leaf and Body Slam, and became the new champion.

Congratulations, I finished Johto. Time for the Kanto part of my journey.

Fifth Update!!

My adventure from the S.S. Anne to Lavender Town.

Sprout the Oddish: Must always know 2 TM moves and 2 Lv.Up moves.
Can't evolve to Vileplume till I have 5 badges.
MS. NIDO the Nidoqueen: Can only learn STAB and non-damaging moves. (Woot, Poison Ground Combo!!)
Variable Eevee: Determined to be Flareon.
Must know Flamethrower, Substitute, Toxic, Tail Whip.
To get TMs from Game Corner. Must find coins on ground or be given them or win them from slots. If I run out, allowed to buy 50 Coins and start again.
Must Solo 2 of Sabrina's Pokemon consecutively with no items. I'm then allowed to replace Tail Whip with whatever.
Gold the Zubat: Must max out happiness to evolve to Golbat. As Zubat, cannot use Poison, Dark, or Ghost moves. (there goes the early movepool)
When it evolves, must learn Frustration, and 2 Poison, Dark or Ghost moves.
Solo Koga's Gym and one of Lance's Dragonites.
Seadra the Seadra: Cannot learn: Hydro Pump, Surf, Blizzard, Smokescreen, or Mimic.
Must Solo Rival's Grass-type (Bulbasaur line) every time met.
Cannot fight Blaine.
No items in Battle.
Hammer Bro the Squirtle: Must learn Brick Break, Rapid Spin, Ice Beam, and Surf.
Must Solo Blaine.
After Blaine, replace Rapid Spin with Rest, and cannot attack until damage is taken.

Entered the Ship and immediately began fighting the trainers systematically.
After the first battle, decided to evolve MS.NIDO and teack her Dig.
By the second set of doors, Sprout had evolved into Gloom!
On the third set of doors, Gold learned Wing Attack! (finally might become useful...)
Got the Rest TM, some other useless items...
After finishing all the trainers in the ship and healing, I go and fight my Rival, Calvin.
(go read battle log)
Calvin says some things I don't care about and leaves.
I massage the Captain's back and get rewarded with a Cut HM.
I leave the S.S. Anne, and it takes forever for it to get off my screen.
I go heal, and head to Vermillion Gym.
MS. NIDO took care of the entire gym easily. STAB Dig is a OHKO on all of the Pokemon in the Gym.
Also got the Shock Wave TM, might use it, might not.
Went over through Digglet's Cave. Got Old Amber from Museum, and grabbed a couple items.
Went back through and beat up more Digglet.
Went north to Cerulean and got my Bike.
CH'DING is my resident Cut HM slave for now.
Swept through the Routes leading to Rock Tunnel, which I will attempt to navigate without Flash.
Made it through, missing most of the items and trainers, but I won't concern myself with them.
Entered Lavender Town, and rested their to prepare to head to Celadon City!

Enemy Poke health indicated by colour and will be noted when changed.

RIVAL Calvin sent out PIDGEOTTO! (Lv. 19 Pidgeotto)
Go! Hammer Bro! (Lv. 24 Wartortle)

I am kind of overleveled for this fight, so it should be a breeze.
Having no Pokemon with an advantage, and no one immune to Sand-Attack, I hope that Hammer Bro can ground this bird quickly.

Hammer Bro used Water Pulse!
Foe PIDGEOTTO used Sand-Attack!
Pidgeotto health: Yellow
Hammer Bro: -1 Accuracy

The bird is perfectly positioned for a 2HKO, don't miss!

Hammer Bro used Water Pulse!
Hammer Bro's attack missed!
Foe PIDGEOTTO used Gust!
Hammer Bro: 88% health. -1 Accuracy.

And of course it misses.... Go again?

PIDGEOTTO used Quick Attack!
Hammer Bro used Water Pulse!
Foe PIDGEOTTTO fainted!
Score: 3(Calvin)-5(Me)
Hammer Bro: 76% health. -1 Accuracy.

He Quick Attacks for a little bit more damage, but he's still down a Pokemon.

RIVAL Calvin sends out IVYSAUR! (Lv. 20 Ivysaur)

Dang it! This is the worst matchup Hammer Bro could have at this time. I could switch, but he can always just Sleep Powder and incapacitate a teammate, but I think he's going to just attack for the KO.

Hammer Bro! Come back!
Go! Gold! (Lv. 22 Zubat)
Foe IVYSAUR used Vine Whip!
It's not very effective...
Gold: 94% health.

Gold comes in and takes Vine Whip like nothing thanks to that handy x4 resistance. Wing Attack away!

Gold used Wing Attack!
It's super effective!
Foe IVYSAUR used Sleep Powder!
Gold fell asleep.
IVYSAUR: Yellow
Gold: 94% health. Sleeping.

See! Sleep Powder is so annoying on that thing! (although I should probably say that after its KOed me...)

Gold is fast asleep.
Foe IVYSAUR used Vine Whip!
It's not very effective...
Gold: 88% health. Sleeping.

He should've figured out that Tackle would probably do more damage, but I'm going to continue hoping Gold wakes up.

Gold is fast asleep.
Foe IVYSAUR used Vine Whip!
It's not very effective...
Gold: 82% health. Sleeping.

More of this?

Gold woke up!
Gold used Wing Attack!
It's super effective!
Foe IVYSAUR fainted!
Score: 2-5.

Good-bye!

RIVAL Calvin sent out a KADABRA! (Lv. 18 Kadabra)

Time to leave this party methinks.

Gold! Come back!
Go! Hammer Bro!
Foe KADABRA used Confusion!
Hammer Bro: 57% health.

Hammer Bro I love how bulky you are! Time to attack!

Foe KADABRA used Confusion!
Hammer Bro used Bite!
It's super effective!
KADABRA: Red health.
Hammer Bro: 37%

With his Kadabra at such low health, he'll probably heal it and give me a free chance to KO.

Foe KADABRA used Disable!
Hammer Bro's Bite was disabled!
Hammer Bro's Bite is disabled!

Nice play there, but it won't save him or his unrevealed last Pokemon.

Foe KADABRA used Confusion!
Hammer Bro used Water Pulse!
Foe KADABRA fainted!
Hammer Bro: 16% health
Score: 1-5.

Hammer Bro is now in the red, and he has one left.

RIVAL Calvin sent out RATICATE! (Lv. 16 Raticate)

Hopefully Hammer Bro can hang in there and score a KO with Brick Break.

Foe RATICATE used Hyper Fang!
Hammer Bro fainted!
Score: 1-4.

Hammer Bro falls but here comes MS. NIDO for revenge duties.

Go! MS. NIDO! (Lv. 24 Nidoqueen)
MS. NIDO used Attract!
Foe RATICATE fell in love!
Foe RATICATE is immobilized by love!
RATICATE: Infatuated.

With him infatuated, I should have no problems.

MS. NIDO dug a hole!
Foe RATICATE used Hyper Fang!
Foe RATICATE's attack missed!

MS.NIDO used Dig!
Foe RATICATE is immobilized by love!
RATICATE: Red health. Infatuated.

Checkmate.

MS. NIDO used Poison Sting!
Foe RATICATE fainted!
Player defeated RIVAL Calvin!

YAY!!

Spr_3f_041.png

Gold the Zubat
Lv. 26
Nature: Naive
Moves: Leech Life
Wing Attack
Confuse Ray
Bite

Things are starting to look up for Gold as with his newly learned Wing Attack, he can beat up a lot more.
(Note, I discovered that I cannot check his happiness directly, so can I evolve him when I get the Frustration TM?)

Spr_3f_031.png

MS. NIDO the Nidoqueen
Lv. 27
Nature: Bold
Moves: Poison Sting
Tail Whip
Dig
Attract

MS. NIDO has definetely proved herself in this update, sweeping through the Electric gym with STAB Dig.
Attract is also being somewhat useful, with a lot of the Trainers using male Pokemon. Candidate for MVP.

Spr_3f_008.png

Hammer Bro the Wartortle
Lv. 28
Nature: Calm
Moves: Brick Break
Water Pulse
Rapid Spin
Bite.

With 1/2 of his moveset accounted for, he is still a contender for MVP, although he has played very well this update, taking out Calvin's Kadabra and Pidgeotto in the battle, he is definitely pulling his weight.
Current MVP.

Spr_3f_044.png

Sprout the Gloom
Lv. 28
Nature: Hasty
Moves: Secret Power (TM)
Bullet Seed (TM)
Sleep Powder
Acid.

Gloom is still doing very well, taking out many opponents with Secret Power, and Sleep Powder being almost a second choice.
He didn't participate in the Rival Battle, but still did his share in the background. OHKOing all of the random Geodudes in Rock Tunnel.

Boxed:
CH'DING the Farfetch'd (Lv. 20)
My Cut and later Fly HM slave(possibly going to Gold).

Don't worry, It's not that bad. I remember in my first ever scramble on Pearl, where I only had one Scramblemon until Valley Windworks. Just don't worry about it. Looking at your challenge, you shouldn't be worried at all, as you have 4 Pokemon before the first badge including a starter. You are allowed to have non-Scramblemons, but they can only be used as HM Slaves, or if you don't have a Scramblemon yet.

Wow, I’m sorry guys, I really didn’t have the time for updates on the scramble, but here I am!
The Challenges…

1) Samurai 796, Start with Silence the Totodile. This Totodile does not like speaking at all, therefore you must SR for a Quiet nature & it may never use any moves that require the use of its mouth. Such moves include Water Gun, Bite, Ice Fang, Crunch, Screech, Hydro Pump, Water Pulse, Roar, Ice Beam, Hyper Beam, Dragon Pulse, Sleep Talk, Swagger, Hydro Cannon, Icy Wind, Snore, & Uproar. –Its_A_Random
2) @Samurai 796, trade over a pikachu named "MB Sucks!". It may never evolve, it may never hold a light ball and the only non-stab move it can use is brick break (teach it brick break before you trade it or trade over the tm if you want it). The last requirement depends on whether or not this is a scramblocke (scramble+nuzlocke, I ask because you put HG nuzlocke in the rules), if it is you have no other restrictions, but if it isn't solo chuck and any kanto gym leader. –Dark Ray
3) @samurai you get ANDROID17 the Koffing. Android 17 was made by Dr. Gero but soon lived a life of destruction after finding that emotions are a waste. So After you catch it it must know 3 attacking moves as soon as possible (Selfdestruct being one of them) and must fight in every gym. Later, his sister 18 falls in love with krillin so at level 30 it starts living a life of peace so delete selfdestruct and one more attacking move and it can't fight in any major battles anymore.but then it gets controlled by the evil Dr.Gero and Dr.Myuu using Hell's 17. By level 40 (must be after 7th gym) Make it learn all attacking moves and evolve to weezing. –blamon123
4) @SAMURAI
I MEANT SAMURAI
Bring Bee the female Sudowudo. She must solo any gym leader that Android17 does not participate for (e.g. Pryce would be easiest) and also solo Lieutenant Surge. She may never use the same move twice in a row and she may not have more than one move of any one type. –Vratix
5) 2. Take a Dratini that cannot learn Superpower, Draco Meteor, Flamethrower, Roost, Thunderbolt, Dragon Dance, Dragon Claw, Outrage, Earthquake, Fire Blast, Extremespeed, Heal Bell, Thunder Wave, Toxic, Waterfall, or Fire Punch and solo two consecutive Gym Leader Pokemon without items that are at least ten levels higher than it.-DetroitLolcat
@Samurai
6) You get BlackOps the Spinarak.
As his name implies, he loves to play Call of Duty, and is convinced that he is a soldier. He stays up all night playing the game, and is an Insomniac. He is obsessed with the guns he kills imaginary people with. As such, he can only use "shooting" moves, as well as "black" moves, since he's rugged and loves the dark.
To evolve he must solo Morty using only Shadow Sneak and/or Sucker Punch.
To be able to use any moves, he must solo all of Karen's Pokemon except her Houndoom.
Here's a list of the moves he can use:
Poison Sting, String Shot, Leech Life, Night Shade, Shadow Sneak, Sucker Punch, Pin Missile, Dig (hey, it's dark down in those holes), Sludge Bomb, Thief. -Skwog

What’s Happened So Far…
1st Gym: All is simple and good, I get Silence and Scratch can hold me over for now, though I hate having moves on the set that just stare at me begging to be used (WATER GUN!). I decided, while I was going to trade over MB Sucks!, I would trade over Slayer too. However my goal was to have Slayer solo Bugsy’s Metapod and Kakuna, so he can only be Lvl. 4. I did give some TMs and HMs to those two, as well as having them hold two more in the trade for other pokemon. I also catch BlackOps on the 2nd try because the first one was Swarm. Sprout Tower was owned by BlackOps, and Falkner was owned by MB Sucks!

2nd Gym: Still going pretty easy at first, Union Cave isn’t a problem, I teach Silence Rock Tomb so it can actually be used against a Fire type. Team Rocket is truly pathetic, and were crushed my no particular one member of the team. Bugsy on the other hand, oh my god… I have never lost to Bugsy, so this was a first for me. Silence would lead against Scyther and 2HKO it with Rock Tomb… as long as it din’t U-Turn… Eventually I got a good scenario and Metapod & Kakuna went down easy to Thunder/Surf. Rival was easy to, My Lvl. 6 Slayer took down 2 of pokemon, so he wasn’t much of a challenge.

3rd Gym: You know, I thought more and more that maybe Whitney would kill me just because she could, and because I had no true strategy for her. I had some hard hitting pokemon and MB Sucks! had Brick-Break. I did however level up a fair bit up north, fighting all the trainers I could. Whitney was really a pushover to me. Brick Break 1HKO’d Clefairy, and 2HKO’d Miltank.

Sorta 4th Gym: I walked on and after a few SR’s I found my female Sudowoodo, but I wanted her to have Rock Head so she could use Wood Hammer, and Double-Edge, so I SR’d some more and then I got Bee. I then moved on up to Burned Tower just to catch ANDROID17. Then it was time to level up! Went to the Dance Studio first so I could give Surf to Silence so he had a Water move! Then I went to the right and beat a mess of trainers, then beat the entire Lighthouse. Now BlackOps was starting to evolve, but I had to keep canceling. I wanted my guys to get to around Lvl. 25, but only a few were there, the rest were below. Rival was a joke, Night Shade destroyed his team, blah blah blah… Then in the gym BlackOps got to work with Shadow Sneak, and then learned Sucker Punch, so I was set for Morty. I save in front of Morty just in case, and BlackOps takes out Gastly, Haunter, but gets Cursed, and then taken out by Gengar’s Shadow Ball. I know this is optional, I don’t have to evolve him, but I want to. Then I don’t get Curse damage, which I thought made a difference, but it didn’t, I died again. Now I have the conundrum of what to do the make BlackOps live a Shadow Ball, probably level him up to say Lvl. 30

The Team…
Bee the Sudowoodo (F) @ Quick Claw
Lvl. 21/Timid/Rock Head
-Flail
-Low Kick
-Rock Throw
-Mimic(Not Used, Just Don’t Have A Replacement Move)
Comments: She has a lot of bulk, which my team needs, but I don’t like the challenge as she can’t be relied on. Current LVP.

Slayer the Dratini (F) @ Silk Scarf
Lvl. 21/Careful/Shed Skin
-Surf
-Thunder
-Dragon Rage
-Headbutt
Comments: It’s a Dratini so it is strong, but not that great as of yet. It’s stats aren’t stellar, so for now it is average.

BlackOps the Spinarak (M) @ Sitrus Berry
Lvl. 26/Hasty/Insomnia
-Poison Sting
-Leech Life
-Shadow Sneak
-Sucker Punch
Comments: Big movepool limitation hurts this already bad pokemon. Has decent type coverage for other members of my team, but still not the greatest.

MB Sucks! the Pikachu (F) @ Nothing
Lvl. 22/Impish/Static
-Thunderbolt
-Charge Beam
-Brick Break
-Thunder Wave
Comments: Seeing as this is its final movepool, I don’t know. It can boost its Sp. Attack with Charge Beam, but Impish is a terrible nature for it…

ANDROID17 the Koffing (M) @ Charcoal
Lvl. 25/Relaxed/Levitate
-Assurance
-Sludge
-Selfdestruct
-Flamethrower
Comments: Pretty bulky and reliable. Has a decent moveset and can be a mixed attacker. His challenge seems easy and I like Koffing.

Silence the Croconaw (M) @ Shell Bell
Lvl. 23/Quiet/Torrent
-Dig
-Shadow Claw
-Headbutt
-Surf
Comments: Easily the strongest member of the team. Has a great movepool for now, and with Surf, know finally has the Water STAB I’ve been begging for.

i have yet another question (i dont care if i put them in one by one i make these up i go in posts) can some give me more then one challenging poke

<resists urge to turn into the Grammar Nazi>

No, a challenger may only give one Pokemon per Scramble. For example, if I give you a Caterpie, I can't turn around in the same challenge and give you a Wurmple, too. I can, however, give the Wurmple to anybody else asking for challenges at the same time.
