Challenge The Scramble Challenge - Mark 2

Dreamox, take a Pidgey as your last pokemon, name it "Evens". This pidgey must be caught on Route 2, and you must use the first level 4 pidgey that you catch here. You may not continue past route 2 until you have caught Pidgey.

Evens is all about fairness, and even numbers. Evens must lead your party every time you are on an even-numbered route, but may not fight on an odd-numbered route. Similarly, Evens must lead your party in the towns of the second, fourth, sixth, and eighth gyms (in whatever order that is, other mons' solos excepted), but may not battle in the towns with the first, third, fifth, and seventh gyms.

Evens believes that using items gives it an unfair advantage over its opponents. It may never hold an item. Additionally, it may only have items used on it in battle on a turn immediately following the turn where its opponent uses an item. Items may be used freely outside of battle.

Other mons' solos excepted, Evens must solo gym leader pokemon from each gym in which it can fight (2 if the leader has 2 or 3 pokemon, 4 if the leader has 4 or 5 pokemon, 6 if the leader has 6 pokemon), and two pokemon from the second and fourth E4 members you face (choose your battle order to maximize the number of possible solos).

Evens also finds it unfair to use TM or HM moves that it would not learn naturally by levelling up. While it may learn these moves for convenience (particularly HMs), it may never use them in battle.

Looking forward to my first challenge.
-Pokemon Y
-Trading/Breeding allowed
-Hard difficulty
Thank you in advance!

damandingo take 2dClassMon the Hypno.

This Hypno is not happy that the Abra line is so much better than the Drowzee line. To prove himself, he must solo Wallace and one E4 member of your choice.

(Yes, that's it. The real challenge is that Hypno can't be caught in OR until after Groudon goes down, so you have an empty slot for most of the game.)

Too easy? Too hard? Let me know and I'll change it!

Hey guys! I am actually new to the smogon forums and just wanted to start looking at some challenge stuff, soooo here:
Game: Pokemon Crystal
No trades
Normal Difficulty
1 pokemon issuing per user
DEFINITELY give nicknames
Provide held items at your discretion
That's it!
Stay Well all!

ZoomBringer take Quilly the Cyndaquil.

Quilly wants to take Team Rocket down by himself. But without being able to evolve into Typhlosion, he be able to?
  • Solo all four trainers in the Slowpoke Well to evolve into Quilava.
  • No evolving into Typhlosion. Ever.
  • Solo all Team Rocket Executives in the Mahogany HQ and the Radio Tower.
  • Quilly may hold any item or no item; it's your choice.
Too easy? Solo all the trainers in the Mahogany HQ and/or the Radio Tower. Too hard? Evolve into Typhlosion after the Radio Tower.

ZoomBringer, take Chance.

Before starting the game, generate a random number between 0 and 20. Chance will be the first pokemon you encounter after capturing or fainting 20 wild pokemon, and must be caught immediately. If you fail to catch Chance, you have lost the chance, and must continue with an empty slot in your party for the rest of the game.

You also may choose how many restrictions you would like (between 2 and 10). Generate that many (unique) random numbers between 1 and 10, and find take the restrictions below. Do not open the hide tag until you have generated your restriction numbers.

1. Chance must solo all members of its evolutionary line, unless said solo conflicts with another solo.
2. Chance may never use any STAB moves in battle (unless forced).
3. Chance must know at least one move that deals no direct or indirect damage ASAP.
4. Chance may learn one TM or HM move for the entire game.
5. Chance may not evolve from the form in which it is caught.
6. Solo one gym leader of your choice against which Chance does not have a type advantage.
7. Chance must always lead your party.
8. Chance must solo one pokemon from each E4 member (others' solos take priority)
9. Chance may never hold an item.
10. Chance cannot have healing items used on it in battle.

Note that some restrictions are more difficult than others. If you are strongly against a restriction, you may trade it for any two other restrictions on the list. You may only do this with one restriction you generate.

Please ask if you have any questions about the challenge.

Alright! I now have my first two in the list for my Crystal Scramble.
-Quilly The Quilava (Chosen by PSDuckie)
-Chance (Scenario for obtaining pokemon provided by user 18) by the way user 18, just one question. All numbers have been generated. I'll be getting the pokemon after 20 faints or captures. I have 4 restrictions, numbers 5, 10, 1, and 9. I only have a question about restriction #1, like give me a scenario for it is all.
4 more members needed for my Crystal Scramble!

For restriction #1: Say Chance is a pidgey. Every time an opposing trainer uses a pidgey, pidgeotto, or pidgeot, or when you get into a wild battle with such a pokemon, Chance must immediately be switched in and must either knock out the opposing pokemon, or be knocked out. However, if one of your other pokemon is mandated to solo the trainer who you are in battle with, the other pokemon's solo takes priority. So if you catch a pidgey before Falkner, but one of your other pokemon is told to solo Faulkner, let the other pokemon do so, even though Chance (as a Pidgey) would be forced to solo his pidgey and pigeotto. Hopefully that clears it up!

Since it's been about a week and I still need one more pokemon thisalwayshappenstome

Someone who has already given me a pokemon can give me another if they so desire that'sokright

Alrighty pretzel987, I'm gonna submit Tony the Lairon.
Tony cannot carry any items
He can only learn Steel and Normal type moves.
If you wish to give me a Pokemon for my scramble run *cough* need 4 more *cough*

ACEPTED! Do i have to catch it as a Lairon? Or do i have to keep it as a Lairon?

O ZoomBringer you want a challenge? Have fun :)
Ok, take Wat the Cleffa.
Wat-Meme-Old-Lady-Face-17.gif

Wat should have been the product of a Kalos trainer's chain breeding project, and would have been thrown away, just like all of the others. However, due to a small hole in the space-time continuum, Wat somehow ended up in Jhoto as the Odd Egg. She was supposed to be a Fairy type, but somehow she has reverted back into the Normal Type. Therefore, Wat must go on a quest to determine all of the intricacies of the Fairy Type!

Wat must immediately learn Charm and Sweet Kiss, and must never forget them, as they will eventually turn into Fairy type moves. Wat believes in her Fairy type so much that she foolishly charges into battle against Chuck, thinking that she is stronger! Faint in Chuck's battle to evolve into Clefairy.

Wat now realizes that she is not a true Fairy type, but she presses on so that she can learn everything about this unknown type. To evolve into Clefable, Use Charm or Sweet Kiss on one pokemon of every type. If a pokemon has 2 types, pick one to use.

Now that she has all of the research she needs, she is ready for the ultimate challenge: Solo Bruno's Machamp, Karen's Houndoom, and one of Lance's Dragonites.
If you are continuing to Kanto, you have no move-slot restrictions after the solos.

Accepted pretzel987. And on the Lairon, you may catch it as a Aron, but you cannot evolve to Aggron.

Current set for Crystal Scramble!

Quilly The Quilava (from PSDuckie)
Chance (Scenario provided by user 18)
Wat the Cleffa (Pokemon and restrictions provided by pretzel987)
I need three more and the quest begins!!!

Youngster Joey44 take CoffeCoffe the Sentret. He must have a nature that boosts Special Defense (Calm, Gentle, Careful, or Sassy).

How does this Sentret keep watch all the time? Coffee! But he thinks certain Berries are coffee...

CoffeCoffe may only hold the following items:
  • Ganlon Berry
  • Petaya Berry
  • Durin Berry
  • Rawst Berry
  • Aguav Berry
  • Nanab Berry
  • Pomeg Berry
  • Hondew Berry
  • Magost Berry
  • Rabuta Berry
  • Watmel Berry
Use ten Berries from the above list on CoffeCoffe to evolve to Furret. The same type of berry may be used more than once, and both held-item uses and uses from the Bag count.

Finally, CoffeCoffe has gotten word that Team Flare is stealing all the delicious coffee. Solo every Team Flare admin not already being soloed by I hate you.

ALSO: A long-overdue X Scramble update. I just got to Lumiose City for the first time; yes, I know I've been slacking on this Scramble. I have four of my six Pokemon; only Elderly and Legion have yet to be caught. MVP of this session is Joelene, LVP is Ali.

Just posting this cause I really wanna do get started on my Crystal Scramble soon. Final exams are winding down, and I have to wait til Friday to leave for home.
If you guys that already provided Pokemon wish to provide a second, go for it. (Right now that means PSDuckie user 18 and pretzel987 )

Here's another quick X Scramble update.

I'm up to, but haven't started yet, the Cyllage City Gym. MVP is Neo, LVP is Elderly.

Oh, and one more thing:
335.png

I'm not going to be using this in the Scramble, obviously, but I saw it, so I caught it.

ZoomBringer take WorldTree? the Sudowoodo.

This Sudowoodo is under the delusion that not only is it Grass-type, but that it is destined to save the world.

  • For all calculations regarding type, treat WorldTree? as a pure Grass-type, not a Rock-type.
  • Solo all Dark-types not already soloed by other mons.
  • Finally, solo Karen (well, with the exception of her Houndoom).

Alright PSDuckie ... Accepted Current team:

Quilly The Quilava (from PSDuckie)
Chance (Scenario provided by user 18)
Wat the Cleffa (Pokemon and restrictions provided by pretzel987)
WorldTree the Sudowoodo (Pokemon provided by PSDUckie)

I NEED 2 MORE.

I'll take it! Although I'm not too sure how to get some of those berries...

Alright PSDuckie ... Accepted Current team:

Quilly The Quilava (from PSDuckie)
Chance (Scenario provided by user 18)
Wat the Cleffa (Pokemon and restrictions provided by pretzel987)
WorldTree the Sudowoodo (Pokemon provided by PSDUckie)

I NEED 2 MORE.
ZoomBringer, take Albert the Mareep.
Albert has always had a weird fetish for prime numbers. He loves prime numbers so much that he will refuse to damage foes in battle unless at least one of his stats is a prime number (with the exception of current HP). He also must evolve at prime numbered levels. However, he must refuse to learn any moves on prime numbered levels.

Youngster Joey44 Accepted! and thank you!
Current Team Assigned:
Quilly The Quilava (Pokemon and Restrictions provided by PSDuckie)
Chance (Scenario for capture provided by user 18)
Wat the Cleffa (Pokemon and restrictions provided by pretzel987)
WorldTree the Sudowoodo (Pokemon and Restrictions provided by PSDuckie)
Albert the Mareep (Pokemon and Restrictions provided by Youngster Joey44)
JUST ONE MORE!
