Two shots cleared on line in the dieing minutes of the match which would have given Manchester United the draw. We should've scored!

The last two penalties that have involved Manchester United have been game changing. Although I still think we're winning the League because of our superior goal difference and the fact that we're just as capable of winning the last two matches as Chelsea are.

bad bad desicions there, dont see how carick could move his arm out of the way when he was running into a position to block the ball thats accedantal, ballack man handling ronaldo in the box is not a penalty why?

we still have the better games, west ham are not really interested
chelsea have newcastle who are on form and bolton who are the same

Chelsea!!!!!!!!! OMG what an amazing game. Had me on the edge of my seat all the time, spcially after Carvalho's mistake.

I wont comment on the penalty, based on the fact that had Carvalho NOT messed up badly, we wouldn't have even needed it. Manchester werent clear enough at the times they needed, so scratch the penatly, and scratch Rooney's goal and Chelsea still comes out on top ;).

Man U will have their spirits on the floor when they face Barcelona on Tuesday. I hope Wigan or West Ham can pull an upset against Man U.

Chelsea will be 100% inspired come Wedesnday after this result. Liverpool have no game at Stamford Bridge. They should not even present themselves to play, they're not winning.

Wow!! I'm so happy today that my favorite Chelsea has won Manchester United. I really hate ManU. You are truly great Grant!! Chelsea come on!! And PabloMeza, I accept it was a sexy oerformance from Chelsea.

Russian dicks bought the linesman. The one on the nearside was a dick all day, culminating in the penalty which was blatantly ball to hand.

Van Der Sar made what, 2 saves? And we had two shots cleared off the line and should have had a penalty when Carrick was clearly taken from behind when he was pulling the trigger.

And we were all over them in the second half, that only changed with the penalty

That one was never a penelty. In any game of football, anywhere in the universe.

Ballack holding onto Ronaldo is another story, and should have been a pen.

Chelsea well and truely deserved that game based on their first half performance alone. They were a little rocked in the second half, but never really stopped creating chances.

Manchester United have only one man to blame, and that's Fergie himself. Why on earth does he replace Anderson (who was just getting into the game with the runs he made) for John O'Shea? That was a defensive tactic that didn't go entirely wrong, but it cut our onslaught in half when we only had Carrick and Fletcher in the midfield with Nani and Ronaldo completely isolated. Giggs playing for an entire match is ludacris! He's still very lathargic when he's come on for the last 20 with his slow pace, but he played a whole game and did absolutely nothing...I know he has done alot for the club, but right now he's holding United back.

Pat Lampard was an inpiration to the team!

Carlos Queiroz said:
"It must be necessary for a player to bring a gun and shoot one of our men in the box for us to get a penalty."

"It is a hard to say what is going on with this game. I have to talk about some of the decisions in the last few weeks that have damaged this football club.

"We are not in the FA Cup final because of a bad decision when we should have had a penalty against Portsmouth.

"Against Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday, there should have been three penalties but only one was given.

"Something is wrong with football."

When Manchester United don't win a football match. It's football's fault.

Queiroz is worse than Arsene Wenger, Jose Mourinho and Rafa Benitez put together.

That interview must have been with the most gullable reporter ever for Carlos to use "inappropriate" excuses like that. We (United) must stop comparing recent scenarios to events earlier in the season. There's no doubt we could have given Chelsea a harder time, and there is certainly the chance of a decision going our way - but the bottom line is that it did not. Let's just move on to Barcelona and then worry about the Premier League (which still looks to be within our grasp).

Ferguson's team selection and tactics were the flaw in United's game today, not the decisions that were given against them.

I just hope this summer is where United can get their team into tip-top shape by getting rid of certain players; Saha, Giggs, O'Shea, Fletcher and Park. Then bring in a quality right-back and two strikers so we have a suitable replacement for each position. However, this season isn't over so it's a little too early to start thinking about the upcomming transfer market.

You'll still win the title anyway. It would take something special for West Ham and Wigan to take points off of you (I think you have those two left anyway).

Barca should fall at Old Trafford too.

Don't know about getting rid of O'Shea though. He is a decent player to keep around seeing how he can play pretty much anywhere apart from up-front.

Man U dropped 2 points, and possibly 3 fom Blackburn, I don't see them having a for sure thing right now, specially due to their recent string of games, 2 ties and a loss can't help anyones spirit?

Chelsea should be in a Win-Win position if stupid Wigan hadn't tied at the 100th minute =/

Yeah, but then I could say Manchester United would have won "this" match if "bob" did this. That's why I don't think that such an scenario should be brought into the equation because all that matters is what has turned out. Even though you're correct in what you say about that particular event.

United still hold all the cards. They're still capable of winning this no matter what Chelsea do, so long as they win their next two matches. It's Chelsea who must win both games to have a chance of winning the Premier League. If Chelsea lose one of their last two matches then United can afford to lose one of their own.

Say what? O'Shea control with his right, lob with his left at Highbury in the last minute:naughty:

And Taylor, why on earth would we get rid of Fletcher, who gets MOM for virtually every big game he plays in? And Giggs still has a lot to offer, especially helping Nani. Saha is a bit meh, we definitely need another striker (Solksjaer/Ruud natural finisher type, e.g. Huntelaar) but there's no point in selling until we've got something better in, because I don't trust Manucho or Welbeck atm. It's not like he has a lack of talent, just that's he's made of glass.

What exactly does Giggs have left to "offer"?

He certainly isn't considered to be in for retirement, but he's not good enough for Manchester United anymore. He would fit well in a team lower in the Premier League.

What is "MOM"?

I assume you agree with the release of Park and Saha then?

MOM=Man Of the Match

Experience and guile mainly. He's been unfairly treated, Giggs. He's played decently this season without being magnificent, and the only reason people want him out is because we have Nani, who is inconsistent. Nani was shite today, extremely selfish and kept losing the ball but doesn't get criticised, Giggs would for that type of performance. He does create a lot of chances and he is probably more effective in the hole than on the wing. Don't forget that he set up Tevez's goal against Chelsea will a brilliant outside of the boot cross and against Aston Villa, he came into the centre and played great through balls from deep, cutting their defence apart.

I know that Giggs is still an effective foward player, but he has annoyed me a few times when he loses the ball like any other Utd fan.

And fuck no, we need to keep Park. He knows his role and does it, he keeps quiet and works hard when called upon. Giggs is getting older and there are some games e.g. Barca when Nani doesn't have the defensive ability needed and so Park may be needed. There's no point in unneccesarily weakening the squad unless you are sure you can get a better, equally willing to be 4th choice replacement. And even then, I'd rather have a big budget for a striker.

Saha, at the start of the season, I said let's see if he can stay fit and he hasn't. We've missed him no doubt, in games when we need a proper lone striker so we can play Rooney from the left as he will track back. He hasn't stayed fit, so I think we should sell him only if we can get a replacement in. Even then, Saha would be decent as a 4th choice striker, funny how he keeps fit when he has competition to get into the side.

The cramp in the linesman's arm stopped him from raising his flag I guess. =/

Also Stoke won today. Looks like we are going to be seeing Stoke in the Premiership next season.

I'd love to see Stoke/Hull and Bristol City all promoted, but West Brom are going to steal one of the promotion spots unfortunately.

CHELSEA CHELSEA CHELSEA. LORD GRANT!!! All of you are great, just 2 more victories Chelsea and just 2 more defeats ManU.

CHELSEA CHELSEA CHELSEA. Coincidentally the only song that Chelseas supporters sing apart from there's only one something and keep the blue flag flying high.

And Grant is a total idiot nevertheless, he had nothing to do with the win, I don't even think Bollocks would have played if Lampard was fit.

And Aniki, Drogba scored like 33 goals last season and almost won player of the year...

Just watched some of the Blackburn V Portsmouth in bed because I'm not feeling too "well" today. I think it's some sort of fever...

Portsmouth's 3rd defeat at home this season came at a crucial time. They conceded in the 74th minute with a quality finish from Santa Cruz. Now they're 7th in the League and are still fighting for a Uefa Cup spot. Good luck with that!

In the Spanish Premier; Real Madrid can win it tonight so long as Villareal don't win their match. Two concecutive seasons Real will have won their domestic League when there's a Barcelona team with top players. Good luck!
