I have a bit of sympathy for Grant who, despite losing two games since taking charge and beating man utd and arsenal, will probably lose his job. Sucks for him.
I only saw the second half where Man Utd looked distinctly under the thumb and yet given the ridiculous behaviour and dissent I'm glad they lost. Yeah they were unlucky but them's the breaks.

Well done Manchester Utd on a deserved double.

On another point, Ronaldo did not pledge his allegiance to the club in the post match press conference, everyone is making big things of this.
Is losing Ronaldo a realistic possibility? Or are the papers blowing it way out of the proportion?

Chelsea have confirmed that Drogba won't play for them ever again. Also, they have stated that they don't know who will be managing next season, but they've made it clear that it won't be Avran Grant.

Yesterday, Arsenal got a work permit for Vela, who is a striker. All I know is that he's quick and good on football manager. According to Sky Sports, Utd are receiving £8m for Pique which is good money but he has good potential so it's a good deal for everyone.

Oh Carlos Vela, yeah he won with Mexico the U-17 world championship on 2005 (along with Giovanni), Arsenal got interested on him and then he was sent in loan to Salamanca (spanish second league) in which he was the lead scorer until he got injured, he played well with Osasuna this season(scoring some goals),that doesn't sound very impressive but considering he is a young player i think he has potential.

EDIT: Hahaha that Chelsea fan WITH a NY yankees cap hahaha.

Vela is good and one for the future but he isn't going to win Arsenal any silverware. They need to stop fucking around and buy a few established players I do expect them to get either Nasri or Ben Afra but how many more fucking players that are essentialy wingers do they need. They should have made good on the YaYa toure link and need to buy an established poacher like Eduardo because Van Persie is injured too often and Adebayor cannot keep form up over a season.

Apparently Nasri had a medical today and will sign next week when the french league finishes. Looks like he'll be our new right winger as Hleb's pissing off for ice cream in Milan or wtvr.

What's going to be harder is replacing flamini - it'll be hard to find a player that fits into our system so successfully. Doubt Barca will let Yaya go, maybe Diaby is the answer? :/

Hey Taylor, can you give me a link on that info? Thanks.

Thanks again for that.

I'm happy though that he's leaving, not the crazy, hypo happy, but just happy. He'd be a great player if he didn't moan this, and moan that. 33 goals in one season under Mourinho was pretty good. Though I actually have to admit Avram Grant did an okay-ish job.

In other news... Chelsea bids 28m for Robinho? Would it actually be necessary?

Chelski are rediculous, Grant got Chelsea in to the Champions League final AND 3 points (including goal difference) of the league title, all in his first non-full season.
I heard Chelsea weren't going to spend that much this summer, but somehow I can't see that happening especially with the amount of core players leavers.

The reason why Avran isn't a manager; he isn't Jose Mourinho.

Imagine this is you. You replace arguably one of the best managers at one of the biggest clubs after all the drama and shit beforehand. You're put under huge pressure to deliver (especially when you look like that) from all the fans, the players, and Roman Abromavich himself. Players were thinking of leaving the club, so you were given the shit job of cleaning up the mess. If you think that job is easy then you're indeedly mistaken.

He comes in after all that to place 2nd in the League, and more importantly, he surpassd Mourinho's efforts with Chelsea and the Champions League coming runner up to Manchester United (who looked unstoppable anyway). He had to win one of them just to stay in the job which was very demanding and considerably unfair.

Yes, you're right, the next manager wouldn't be tolerated easy. One fuck up and the fans are on him like a ton of bricks. All because they lost their "arrogant king" over a stupid disagreement. The fans weren't giving Avran the benifit of the doubt.

It's a shame really...

LOL?

This guy is hilarious.

Who the Hell is Torres? . Last time Its M.Owen running up and down chasing after the ball on the Pitch , Now its Torres , Fast Strikers = Dogs at Liverpool. Liverpool will Pump Long Balls for them to Fucking Chase it .

I don't exactly get what you mean by "Liverpool will pump long balls for them to fucking chase it" and strikers are meant to be fast, wait are you describing strikers as dogs? or dogs in Liverpool? Eh, I still don't understand wtf you're trying to state.

Probably saying that Liverpool just kicks the ball down field, and just expect the strikers to run, get it, and do everything themselves.

Like, slaves. Apparently.

Liverpool's play is more subtle anyways, I don't like Torres on that team(style of play). Though he does do plenty for them on the offensive side. (Obviously)

Exactly What im trying to say , Its just that my English is bad . M.Owen & Torres = Same Style except that Torres is taller and bigger in size.

First of all, long balls to fast strikers is an effective method, especially if they beat the offside trap. Second of all Torres does a lot more than just 'Fucking Chase it.' he links up fantasically with Gerrard to create a lot of oppurtunities. He's also very skillful on the ball and can run at players incredibly well. His goal tally for this season should show his callibre, not some idiot like you who critisises him for using his speed to his advantage in certain situations.

He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about, just leave him. I think Torres is a blond-haired pussy but he's still very skilful and Liverpool do not play many long balls to him, they play through Gerrard.

And John Terry loves himself so much it's unbelievable.

To all the Chelsea fans, all my team-mates, the manager and staff at the club.

I am so sorry for missing the penalty and denying you the fans, my team-mates, family and friends the chance to become European champions.

Many people have told me I don't need to say that but I feel I need to, that's just me. I have relived that moment every minute since it happened. I have only slept a few hours and wake up every time hoping it's all been a bad dream.

I have had some amazing support from fans, current and ex-players, family and friends and I need to thank everyone for that. But I am a big man and I take responsibility for us not winning.

I am and ALWAYS will be Chelsea through and through. I will give my all on and off the pitch to win this trophy as a player and one day as a manager. And I am sure we will win it.

That night in Moscow will haunt me forever and I feel I have let everybody down and this hurts me more than anything. I am not ashamed about crying. This is a trophy I have tried so hard year after year to win and it was just an uncontrollable reaction, I wear my heart on my sleeve, everybody knows that.

The road to Rome starts here, we have to try and turn this experience to our advantage. I am very proud of how far we have come this season with everything that has gone on.

Thank you for all your support for the team this season.'

He forgot to apologise to Avram for costing him his job the idiot. Somehow he's convinced he will manage Chelsea in the future even if he becomes a shite coach. And ffs "I am a big man".

I think I laughed more at Terry than I ever did watching Peter Kay, and that's just that apology note alone; not including his antics on the pitch.

I don't understand why he even needed to write that letter. I mean Lampard said it better himself, "It's just football"

Also, manager of Chelsea next season will most likely be Rijikaard (however you spell it)? Or Mourinho? Or Guus Hiddink?

Guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Roman is trying to get Mark Hughes to Stamford Bridge according to a reliable source I got from footballforums.net.
