Mourinho is set to sign with Inter on Monday, while Manicini has been linked with clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester City. The "Special One" won't be returning to Stamford Bridge.
 
Damn, no more Mourinho =( Ah well at least we still get to hear his remarkable comments at press conferences. I still like the Barcelona one in 2005 the best.
 
Wow the letter from Terry is awkward, like these kind of things are not necessary, i think nobody blames him for loosing.

He should move on, he is not the first player to miss on a final.
 
When he looks back at the moment where he hit the post, I'm sure it would eat his insides up because of how close he (and Chelsea) were to winning the Champions League. But when you think about it, we (United) were in cruise control before the Chelsea goal (which was absolutely lucky) and you can imagine how we felt if we had lost to Penalties because of that stupid luck of a goal that Lampard put away.

People who miss in a final must feel awful, but Terry's miss was so crucial it's understandable (as funny as it is to watch) how he was so dissapointed and upset with himself.
 
England USA today...no Carrick yet again...still we should really batter them or beat them convincingly 3-0 or so. Knowing England however...

Norulz will be pleased to know I will be a Portugal fan in this Euro 2008 campaign. Although I reckon Spain will win it. ;[

But come on, Ronaldo!

By the way, England V. America is being marked like fuck by me, as I've always wanted to see an updated match between the two.

Not really, the USA is a team that has a lot of order and i don't think you wreck them, you may win, but not that easily.So far is 1-0 right?.

I think Portugal will win the Euro, or Italy.

I don't think Spain...i mean c'mon, they always look like a favorite but somehow they always loose.
 
Yeah, well...Euro 2008 is their year! (It has got to be...)

I was convinced after looking at the team that they can throw out. The talent in the line up they showed on Re Vista De La Liga was absolute quality. And they haven't even included Bojan or Raul in the squad (Raul not being picked and Bojan declined).
 
Spain are bigger chokers than England. Anyway same old crap from Ingurland, Beckham and Gerrard long ball competition, Rooney doing jackshit, relying on the old Beckham to Terry combo... hmmm.

As for Portugay and Euro 2008, they have a good chance, good depth in wingers and a good defence. If they had better strikers they'd win the thing. France is my pick. Go Evra!
 
I'm sticking with my prediction of Spain/Italy. Spain have a great chance to win it this year, I'd say they just about have the strongest squad so it's their best chance to win something.

Italy are alays good and despite being in the group of death I think they have the squad to win it.
 
Being the Scottish fan, I'd rather France/Italy to win it, to show how much of a hard group we had :P.

I will be rooting for whoever has the least odds of winning.
 
I'm inclined to agree with SkarmBlissCounter, now that Pauleta doesn't play for us anymore, Nuno Gomes is the standard choice, and although he's pretty good and definitely above average, he has a huge flaw, he will be facing the goalie with a remarkable chance to score a goal, and he'll just pass the ball to his teammate to score, it's kind of a quality a good winger should have, not a striker. A striker is meant to just score out of occasion, (and sometimes without it) he just gives goals to his teammates.
 
Let's see how Spain does against the glorious team of Peru before trying to predict their Euro performance!!!

I'm rooting for Czech Republic, Italy and maybe Porturulz

Oh and why did Bojan decline the chance to play for spain? He's already capped, so he cant play for Serbia, right?

He hasn't played any official match, so he could theoretically still play with Serbia. However, he declined due to stress and being really tired. I guess that debuting this year on Barcelona wasn't the most convenient thing for such a young player. He says that we don't have to worry about him playing for Serbia, and I don't have anything to doubt that.

Also, regarding Spain winning the Euro Cup:

Exactly 20 years after the Netherlands won the Europeon Championship they have the perfect opportunity now to be the best of Europe once again!
Van Basten lead us to the victory in 1988 and he can do it again as coach :D
Only if he plays 4-4-2 with Van Persie en Van Nistelrooij as forwards, only then Netherlands has a chance of winning this imo.

Predicting a Netherlands vs. Germany final.. once again..
But srsly the Germans suck, they only come far on tournaments due to there good mentality, not because they play good football..
See the world cup final in 1974.. Netherlands should've rly won that but whatever.

Hopefully this tournament will be an exception like 1988!

We don't have to discuss things about Euro2008 in the soccer thread only since it is a very big tournament held only once in the 4 years..
 
usa would have a good team if they put lebron james and terrell owens as the forwards XDDDDD

usa won't ever be good because all the good athletes play basketball/football/baseball; if Ronaldo or Messi were born in America they'd be trying to make the NBA
